@rafadydkiemmacha7543 I know Polanski can't do comedy well, but I love the setting, the character's isolation. The human condition is done very well here. Donald Pleasence's character is a good example of him being in his comfort zone, living on the island, and his emotions go haywire when that safety blanket comes off.
@@Onmysheet it didn't click for me. Cul de Sac reminds me of his very first full-time feature, "Knife in the Water", except the latter one is much better in my opinion. I've seen almost all of Polanski's movies and I love most of them, especially Rosemary's Baby.
@@Onmysheet me neither, I can't find it with Polish subtitles. But I know some people who love "Pirates", they claim that it's the best mood of all pirate-themed movies.
Great interview. I had never watched this one, thank you!
Cul De Sac is one of my favourites of his. It gets overlooked a lot.
I think this movie is boring as heck. My least favorite of his movies.

@rafadydkiemmacha7543 It's been said What, Pirates are his worst films. Which I haven't seen.
