How to Watch and Understand a Jean-Luc Godard Film
I love you Alain.
thanks for uploading, squirt reynolds
An insightful commentary. Old Hollywood is gone forever.
Brilliant film with a brilliant soundtrack
I love this man
I have had a serious fixation with his films ever since I saw 'Two Men with a Closet', 'Knife in the Water' and 'Cul de Sac' as a boy in Poland. I love all of Polanski's films, even those considered 'lesser'. I think it's because I absolutely feel and read this sensibility and vision of the world - and therefore the meaning of every scene and every means used. Polanski's fatalistic, tragic-grotesque, futile and degraded universe is also my universe.
I actually searched this to see Harmony’s hair style of 2024.
Harmony is a constant inspiration. Thank you.
this scene introduced me to The Weeknd... God I miss 2020
Wonderful interview, thank you.
This movie is so brutal and so close to the truth in the way that real true power is unseen and unknowable and unaccountable
1:49 Pattinson giving a PERFECT impression of Willem
one of my friend and I's favorite film of all time. How could it flop? Unbelievable!!
You and your friend have good taste. 👍
Incredible
came across this in connection with Teri Garr's passing...the question asked at the end about why After Hours remains relevant with technology changes (Uber, no need for cash, change in SoHo, etc.) comes back to, in my opinion, the WHY that propelled "Paul" (Griffin Dunne) to make that late night call in the first place...he was desperate for real human connection, which is why he "tolerates" the craziness he comes across...great film...sooooo many amazing performances by actors given the quirkiness of the characters as they were written...
13:14 That is weird. That actress from Grange Hill saying she gave him a blow job. Is she for real?? He seems like a right pervy sleaze!
A masterpiece of the arts...Moreau is wearing a similar looking outfit as the character & hairstyle. Timeless beauty.
Billy Bob Thornton in Dead Man: "is that a fact?" Billy Bob Thornton in Tombstone: "is that a fact?"
Brian always did good interviews, both were gone too soon.
Alex Cox the f_cking movie director genius. As all English people from England are. Thank you for Sid and Nancy Mr. Cox. You make me proud to be English. Only people who truly love cinema and the English understand what I am talking about.
He saw it as a COMEDY?!?!
Yep, a very black comedy. It works.
Life is a comedy, the movie is part of it i guess
Polanski is a brilliant director,I love his movies especially The Tenant,Repulsion(great Catherine Deneuve),The Knife in the Water,Vampire Killers,The Pianist.Polanski is a genius.
Too true Stella. Too true!
J aurai aimé le rencontrer. C'etait un vrai homme commi il y en a peu. Rip. Il restera toujours dans coeurs. Il etait unique ❤.
Nice upload
Gabe Nevins, i went to that same high school hes skating. Odd dude imo. But chill af.
He is druged...
3th comment here.
ha only just noticed Kerwin Frost in the back
This was 2011 in its purest form The Weeknd was only seen by those who really knew his music at the time man transformed himself into the artist he is now
Crazy in over ten years now he’s like top 5 most monthly listeners on spotify i think
Now this is a rise of an Ancient Lighthouse keeper
This interview is dissapointing lol
thanks for the nice upload !!
Alain, John 5:28,29 resurrection 🙏
