    The thing Quintin Tarantino said at the end of the video really stuck with me: “If you truly love cinema, you can’t help but make a good movie.” This is coming from a guy who never went to film school and who never even considered being a director when he grew up. He was just a normal guy who worked at a local movie store and just loved movies.

    Martin Scorsese and Ridley Scott's advice were the best and they're applicable to game development also.
    First just look, only pay attention to the picture, then close your eyes and just listen to how nice the movie/game sounds.
    Two separate disciplines, patience or stamina and required to get both right.
    Steven Spielberg's advice to study old movies is also good, or paintings.

    Getting the message or visual out there through the actual medium itself is what drives me as I know from an early age when I worked on a radio commercial (30’s) and it aired locally for one whole month. This taught me the value of the medium and the unlimited potential of what I could accomplish.

    • @alexusyoung629
      @alexusyoung629 Год назад

      The commercial was 30 seconds and it was for a local business who liked it. I was 13 years old when I did this which ultimately planted the seeds. A radio producer tweaked it on my last day (Life Skills Week) and cleaned it up but kept it as I created it.

    Esto si que fue la inspiracion de mi vida, es hermoso ver que estos grandes Directores de Cine me motivan de cierta manera que, con solo ello, estaria dispuesto a dar mi vida por el cine. Si ellos pudieron, Entonces yo tambien podre hacerlo. So. i'll raise up my forehead and i'll get ahead. I know i will make it.

    Mark Duplass is an absolute inspiration. Okay, he'll never make Brazil or The Hudsucker Proxy, but he sure speaks sense.

    Thank you this was indeed excellent information and inspiring. I have two film production I have been part of 13months on Amazon and the boy who saw Christ on Tubi but I’m debuting as director in February on my first feature film and this was a moment of checking in for me outside of myself and my round table. There are moments you wonder am I doing this right and you have to stand strong and believe that you are. Then a segment like this comes along and at that point you know you are doing it right. Like a moment of confirmation. Thank you.

    I don't why I chose to become something that i am not regretting till now but at same time not satisfied with it. But as a kid i always liked watching film. The pure Magic of it. Filmmaking will always have my heart and at some point in life will surely DO SOMETHING. Possibly the best 30minutes of my life invested in something which woke something which is inside me for a long time.
