Make sure to tell them that once they get their IL and build finalized, Cryptic has a terrible habit of erasing it all reworking everything again and making you redo it, selling off enchantments and obsolete things and scrambling to get the replacements.

Lol ok, thought I was just bad. Been running quests across several campaigns doing random quests daily and half the gear is no help at this point. But im assuming i need the boons. Currently saving for my first pieces of dragon gear. Been playing like 5 days. I'm at item level 37k right now Spend most of my time watching videos and googling what to do, or wasting Ad on cosmetics and playing with the paints.
Farming moondancer invasion while only 45k IL during the event right now is a nice boost from dragon seal gear, can kind of make it so you can totally skip spider seal gear
It's amazing how people still chase IL and not what's best for them. There are sooo many bad 90k+ players in the game. IL shouldn't be a priority unless you just wanna be able to get in the very end game dungeons. There is so much better lower IL old gear compared to most of the newer garbage gear.
I'm a tank who was being healed by someone with 86k item level. It was funny when I looked to see a ton of defense, awareness, and deflect all over their gear.

They should have special rewards for doing dungeons with specific requirements like Raid Shadow legends just did with the new city. Like, maybe you cant use anything above a total item level or maybe you have to do it naked with only your main hand weapons, or use a toon with no boobs, etc.

Despite your great advices tho, I'm still not sure on how to upgrade weapon and offhand before IL50, I'm sitting at 40k and still using green/blue 1150's from early quests. Did I miss any seal vendor for weapons somewhere?
your kind of stuck with those bad weapons. You can go to the dragonbone vale and get a weapon set from there, but it is also pretty bad. Check collections
Might have to study this some more. However I did all that in ESO and although ESO is an amazing game I got burnout with it. This game seems very similar albeit perhaps a little more relaxed.

Hey Aragorn! I noticed that the game says that the 10 more powerful mounts and companions determine the Mount and Companion Bolster, which impacts the IL. In this case, wouldn't be necessary to have 10 Mythic mounts and 10 Mythic Companions? Or their impact are too low?
As a new player like myself you want to prioritize refining 100k rough astral diamonds a day do adventures for higher item lvl gear dungeon ques are horrible if your dps but tank and heals get faster ques dragon campaign is difficult unless your at least 40k item lvl im 28k item lvl and can only handle the young dragons the auntion house often has good deals on gear campanions gear sets will be given after completing adventures refine your enchantments and gear for increases in item lvl campanions give passive abilities from other ones

Many things listed as AD price in that video can Alternatively be farmed in one way or another. Coal motes by daylie prayer if you got some alts, luck in dungeon drops, campaigns and login bonus etc. Glyphs are farmable via legacy canpaign. Etc I would say if you focus, 1 year of grind to be top ilevel, half that to be around 65k ilevel with good enough stats to do well in scaled content. I started playing again last January then stopped early summer and started again in November, got to 65k ilevel even though i lost more than 10 million of refinement points. Could be alot higher if I played during demonweb pits. Or focused on Ilevel instead of going for higher damage. This way I out dps people with 10k ilevel because my build is slowly coming together. And master content doesn't sound that fun anyways.
Hero's path! can u complete all mythic insigni's part by equipping just 3slots mounts or does it have like an internal amount of insignias it requires?
Why not directly buy an old mythic artefact instead of upgrade? The old ones go for as cheap as 350k nowadays on PS... Ok it's lower item level but it won't get cheaper than that. You can find good ones, like there's a lot of lanterns since they're not stacking with the portable speljammer
@@Aragon- Yeah I don't know about that. Upfront it will be cheaper, see it as a stepping stone, just like the arti set or rings. Even in the long run I think the cost is pretty much negligible, and that thing, you could keep it long enough, from primary to secondary, seeing as you don't upgrade artifacts until a lot later. The missing IL, you could make it up for getting maybe a couple higher insignias, no need to get 15 at once, or maybe work on bolster a bit earlier. Also get better weapons slightly earlier because man getting 5 million AD + doing a 10 week campaign without upgrading is quite wild... Could easily grab the Vale weapons for relatively cheap (although they get rarer on the market) or just crafted blue weapons (the leap between that and seal weapons ins't huge but they're cheap, could bypass the seal weaps entirely), all the while waiting for the blaspheme set and later stormforged. But on that I have to say though, devs dropped the ball not putting any middle ground set of weapons in the seal store anymore. There's also the Hero's path which has a few legendary comps and mounts but that would have to be checked more thouroughly to know which ones you get at what moment. Also take avdantage of the latest campaign. I know you're going to say it's opened only now, but the thing is there will always be another campaign opened in the future. This one is very good in particular: you can stick with people for HE and get better ring, stick with people for invasions and farm for Astral raider gear, get the best comp gear way earlier, get the tendril arti which is pretty much free to upgrade if I remember right... that alone can get you like 10k IL ahead in a single day if you put effort in the grind, compared to relying on seal gear which will take you weeks (5 weeks exactly if you want a full spider god seal gear). Then again, the next mod might not be as generous, but there will always be something to get. Another point I wanted to make, kinda related to the above, is you should maybe prioritize more the things you can get instantly: the cheap, the non timegated... like buying the cheap high level stuff on the AH I'd put that first, because this is a thing you can do right when you get level 20, and you should already have enough AD solely from the adventures. And rely less on the timegated or expensive ones: seal gear, end campaign stuff... That combat enchant at 3,5m AD stings, that's a lot of queues to do, with a garbage character at that... It's all fun and games when you know all the dungeons and your rotations, for a new player it's another story. And yeah he will get carried most of the time, until he gets in queue with 2 or more players like him. If you also tell them they got to grind 5 to 10 weeks to get semi decent stuff, they may get sick ah. This is another reason why I think it's worth having a cheap mythic artefact soon enough, same as one mythic mount and one mythic companion minimum, on a very practical standpoint which is to help in an actual fight, because yeah I'm sure it's cost effective to wait before upgrading, but... It will be painful.
Grinding campaigns is a huge part of the game, for boons and stuff, so in the long run everyone should grind them. I think they are rather good to grind and feel rewarding, especially the newer ones compared to the old system. 10 weeks grinding for one of the best early neck waist artifact sets is worth it in my opinion. Ofc with higher ilevel you can grind multiple campaigns in the same 10 weeks if you have the time. I would agree, combat and companion enchants should be early priority. Plus getting staldorf mythic over the course of a year and getting epic batiri and raptor from reapers. Mythic mount isn't that important imo. And i was fine running non mythic artifact for a long time. Better to invest a month in river district to get op mirage set. That really does make you feel stronger than you should be. Until they nerf it.
After all this time i can say mtos remain the hardest master dugeon so far.. If they create 1 more dugeon which is a range class dependant i would totally quit at this game and sell my account.

Im 82k Been playing 9 months with VIP (just paid my recent VIP), but it seems I'm way off still. I play 8 hours a week, not 8 hours a day. Got kit 1700-2200 etc, not all BIS end game yet. Maxed Companions Maxed Mounts x4s Maxed guild Legendary Enchants or better Maxed companion kit Epic collars only TBF, I'm happy at 80k+ Im a Ranged Ranger with group/solo support stuff.
@@hurstiwursti panther is budget black death scorpion, gives combat advantage like 60-70%% of the time while bds gives ca 100% of the time, but panther is 30 AD and black death scorp is 3 million AD, and if two to three players run a panther in a dungeon/trial it's basically the same
@@ZraNSxHC isn't there con artist aswell? Like there are many that give some CA uptime but with positioning /HR it's also possible to get enough CA uptime imo. I rather run damage, may someday upgrade my helmite to mythic for bossfights. 3% of HP healing per hit is really good.
Item level gives you your hp number and your damage number. Other than those 2 things, its means literally nothing (assuming you can get into the dungeons you want to) I constantly have ppl pick other ppl than me because theyre higher item level and their gear is significantly worse. (If this happens to you, dont be mad, be glad they didnt pick you because that organizer is an idiot and that run isnt going to go well) How is it that noone understands this aspect? And this video is definitely not helping

at 16:34 why buy astral lock boxes in particular almost all lockboxes give trade bars and there's lock boxes that have jackpots that got to 1000 the astral lockbox caps at 500 astral lock boxes seem like a premium lock box why not just open the current module lockbox is there another reason?
the reason is cause you need enchanted keys which cost zen. Yes they are a little better for trade bars, but more expensive cause you need keys. And on PC it is nearly a 9 month wait to get zen with AD.

Damn good video. I'm too retarded for my own good and have a tendency to ignore major problems like my enchants being extremely under leveled even though I've been playingsince 2016 so my IL has stalled at around 70k
How are you at 70k with bad enchants? I have full bolster for mount and companion, good items and only enchants and insignias need higher level and im stuck at 65k ilevel if i don't use mirage. With mirage less. Still out dps most others in scaled content so it doesn't matter much but it will take a while for me to farm all those glyphs and motes.

Homie, IL is irrelevant. I run adwp and adom no problem at 65k. Just gotta balance your stats properly and get the right gear for it

I left for 4 years and just came back this week I was so lost. My character was level 20 even though it was around 13 when I left.

It will take a new player 500 days to refine 50 million AD. That's like 1 year and 4 or 5 months.

yes, but you should get drops from chests and lockboxes to help reduce that, along with farming events and other things for more than 100k AD per day
there's no limit to the amount you can gain from the auction house and they are already refined 😀

If your on xbox, there is no delay trading in AD for zen. Zen market is cheaper than the auction house

need to hit that 65k, cannot with the 600 IL artifacts. You will want to replace them at some point anyway

Most players aren't doing master dungeons anyways there's no point unless you collect the usually obsolete-by-next-mod gear

+1 gives a tiny item level boost, that is like +0.1% damage gain. It is not something to bother with, no need to pay the extra cost

if you have VIP, you can probably do it in half a year, if you play a lot and take advantage of events to make extra AD
probably in 1 year or even 2 years for a mythical insignia clearly.

Been playing 9 months with VIP (just paid my recent VIP), but it seems I'm way off still.
I play 8 hours a week, not 8 hours a day.
Got kit 1700-2200 etc, not all BIS end game yet.

@@hurstiwursti panther is budget black death scorpion, gives combat advantage like 60-70%% of the time while bds gives ca 100% of the time, but panther is 30 AD and black death scorp is 3 million AD, and if two to three players run a panther in a dungeon/trial it's basically the same

Like there are many that give some CA uptime but with positioning /HR it's also possible to get enough CA uptime imo. I rather run damage, may someday upgrade my helmite to mythic for bossfights. 3% of HP healing per hit is really good.

Item level gives you your hp number and your damage number. Other than those 2 things, its means literally nothing (assuming you can get into the dungeons you want to)
I constantly have ppl pick other ppl than me because theyre higher item level and their gear is significantly worse. (If this happens to you, dont be mad, be glad they didnt pick you because that organizer is an idiot and that run isnt going to go well)

Yesterday top dps in easy moondancer by 50 million or something like that. With people 5-10k ilevel around me. Mirage set may be a bit broken.
at 16:34 why buy astral lock boxes in particular almost all lockboxes give trade bars and there's lock boxes that have jackpots that got to 1000 the astral lockbox caps at 500 astral lock boxes seem like a premium lock box why not just open the current module lockbox is there another reason?
the reason is cause you need enchanted keys which cost zen. Yes they are a little better for trade bars, but more expensive cause you need keys. And on PC it is nearly a 9 month wait to get zen with AD.

if you are level 20, then just try jump to doing skirmish and dungeon queues. You will get seals of the dragon and can get better gear

You farm stuff that you can sell to other players on the auction. I generally make videos on it
Damn good video. I'm too retarded for my own good and have a tendency to ignore major problems like my enchants being extremely under leveled even though I've been playingsince 2016 so my IL has stalled at around 70k
How are you at 70k with bad enchants?
I have full bolster for mount and companion, good items and only enchants and insignias need higher level and im stuck at 65k ilevel if i don't use mirage. With mirage less. Still out dps most others in scaled content so it doesn't matter much but it will take a while for me to farm all those glyphs and motes.
@@hurstiwursti got full bolster for mounts and comps, my insignia are 50/50 purple and gold, gear is decent, using stormforged weapons, need to find new artifact been rocking the journals for ages
