Hi! I know there will be discussion about scaled content and how useless raising item level is if you’re not doing end game stuff. But it’s not as black and white as that. There is a gray area with “scaling”. This video is not about maxing item level. This is to help newcomers and casual players understand small methods they can take to increase their item level to get into certain zones and start running things like reapers challenge(s). Etc etc etc! I’m always down for the insight but this video is not about maxing item level by any means just increasing it 🌱

Started playing this game again and im at the furthest ive ever gotten (passed level 20 lol) but my item level still seems pretty low, this video has given me plenty of things to do to improve tho! Ty
Hey, you should make a video showing how players can get a lot of things you’d normally by for free. Like Glyph of potency from doing legacy quests, Cole Motes from Invoking, epic enchanting stone from Thursdays fortress in the dread legion. I see so many players buying this stuff off the AH thinking it’s the only way…
Thanks. I just jumped 6k on gear score. I was so lost and thought i was doing something wrong. After lvl 20 its like a wild west world too many currencies.
Returning player. Im above 50k item level without doing anything the last 2 years. I have a ton of max level companions/mounts, and some mythic insignias but mostly orange version, im mainly just missing good gear and some of my slots are entirely empty so i could increase my item level by a lot within the next week.
I have a question I’m on this quest called artifact and insignias where I have to get 50k refinement points and 5 enchantments stone I’m level 17 but stuck I really need advice a lot of ppl say dread ring lair helps but I don’t know if I’m higher level to do that yet please help
So i played years ago and came back just today. No idea what im doing. Made a new character and instantly got level 20 with no gear still no idea what to do. I used to enjoy pvp now i cant even work out how to progress:(
garnets are good for defense and utility slot, for the offense slot however it's going to be stat balancing later down the road. you will not end with many, if any garnets on your offense slot for hunter because power is pretty easy to get on dps :)
@@iAyva ok thank you, I also i have one more question, I’m making my second character a cleric and I’m completely lost on which ones would be best for healing. I know one enhancement offers outgoing healing if it’s put in the utility spot but im lost on offense and defense.
Seeing as how all content up to vault of the stars is scaled there's really no need to worry about il till you want to run vos. Rather than worry about it I recommend all new players get to understand their class and roles in dungeons etc. I've seen some 80k players who are clueless about any game mechanics from their class to dungeon mechanics. This game is a marathon not a sprint. Don't try and run before you can walk
there are some things you can't go into without having item level, this isn't about maxing item level it's about increasing it to get into content. scaled content is another story. thanks for the insight!
A lot of stuff said In this video does not help any veterans I was kinda hoping for help for veterans and beginners I'm returning and looking to relearn everything but this video didn't teach me anything...
This video is just about getting item level if you need it to enter areas or content, what kind of thing were you needing to know as a returning player?
Like Kokoum said below, if there is something you're stuck on and needed help with feel free to ask- this was not really intended for anyone other than really new players and perhaps returning players that still aren't very experienced with catching up on item level.

I struggle so much to understand this game, like I enjoy playing it but I just don’t feel like I’m doing anything right.
I have so many questions I just started playing
I’m playing hunter ranger dps so what are the best uncommon enhancements for me, im looking at garnets
