    The role of the foundations was described by Krishnamurti when he said, 'The foundations will see to it that these teachings are kept whole, are not distorted, are not made corrupt. They will not give rise to any sectarian spirit in their activities... nor create any kind of place of worship around the teachings or the person.'
    We maintain extensive archives of Krishnamurti's original works and all four Krishnamurti foundations are actively engaged in the publication of material in various forms.
    Our videos contain thousands of subtitles in more than 25 languages, translated by volunteers from all over the world. If you would like to help us with translating subtitles, please contact us at digital@kfoundation.org

    TRANSCRIPT: I think most of us have never looked at the movement of thought. Right? Most of us have never asked what is thinking; why has man given such extraordinary importance to thinking. And the very process of thinking born of experience, knowledge and memory stored in the brain, that process of thinking is always limited. Right? Is that clear? Thought is limited. Thought is fragmentary. Fragment, I mean, something broken, like a vase - when you break it there are pieces of it. So thought is broken, limited. Right? Because it is born out of knowledge, and knowledge is the past, knowledge is not the whole. Right? Are you… do you see it? It can never be the whole. So thought, whatever it does, must be limited, and any action born out of that limitation must have regret, confusion, feeling of guilt, anxiety and never ending conflict, because thought in its action is limited. Right? Is this clear - clear not verbally, inside, you know it as you know your language, as you know your eyes, your face, you know it.
    So thought can never lead to the immeasurable, that which is not measurable. Thought is measurable. Right? And therefore that which is measurable is limited. Though you can measure it 100 yards it is still limited. So, when thought seeks illumination, tries to meditate, that meditation, that struggle, all that you go through, is always limited and therefore broken up, fragmentary. Right, sir?
    Now, we are saying there is an action that is not born of thought. Are you interested? Now will you pay attention? That means you have no centre from which you are listening. If you are listening from a centre, you have already brought in the sense of distraction. You understand this? So, can you attend? We are saying there is an action that is not of time. Again I mustn’t introduce time for the moment, because that leads to something else, we will talk about it. There is an action which is not the outcome of memory. I am pointing out to something else. I will come back to it. In your relationship with another, however intimate or not intimate, when memory operates in our relationship, what takes place? There is inevitably division. Right? Haven’t you noticed it? You are related to your husband, wife or girl or whatever it is, and in that relationship there is the whole movement of thought, which has built up, built out of constant contact with each other, a sense of pictures, images, which are memories. Right? And those memories, those pictures, those images, divide you and your husband, girl, or boy. So there is always a division. Right? So, we are asking from that - we won’t go more deeply into it - we are asking from that: is love a remembrance? Right? When one says to one’s wife or husband or girl, whatever it is, ‘I love you’, is that a remembrance? Or when you say, I love your god, your image, tremendous emotional devotion, is that love? We will go into this question much more deeply another time. What we are pointing out is that where there is the activity of thought, thought itself being limited, must bring about division - national, political, religious, the whole structure of man’s activity, which is destroying the world. You go up to the moon and plant a flag up there, there is a limited action. When you worship your petty little god round the corner which has been put together by thought, that is a limited action. So, when you have an insight into that - insight being, the mind comprehends the whole picture, the whole structure, and nature of thought, then thought comes to its own limited place. Have you got it? Have you understood some of this? Come on sirs!
    So, when thought has understood its own limited place, then action is not the outcome of thought. Then action is the outcome of that total insight of the nature of thought. Has somebody got it! Have you understood all this? Probably I should read to you the Bhagavad Gita and then you will all be happy (laughter), or read some commentaries on commentaries on commentaries. But this needs your active co-operation to find this out. You have to think, you have to work, which is to work to find out how you think, how your whole life is based on thinking. You have to catch a bus, but catching the bus has its right thought, right place, but when thought involves the whole psychological structure of man, then thought has limited the psyche of man. You understand this?
    So, sirs and ladies, another five minutes more. I do not know how much you are learning - learning, not accumulating knowledge and memory - learning to find out this quality of insight from which action takes place. You see what we are really saying is, that man has extraordinary capacities - man, woman too please! We’re not - women’s lib. Man has extraordinary capacities, and those capacities are limited by thought. And if thought is given its right place it releases a tremendous energy, not to do more mischief, but to live a life in which there is no shadow of conflict, a life that is supremely excellent, a life that has this extraordinary quality of compassion, love. That is why one has to understand the nature of thought. Thought is not love. And when one worships the intellect, as you all do, because when you are studying or reading or being lectured to about the Gita, the Upanishads, the various commentaries, you are encouraging the intellectual capacity and therefore denying love.

    On meditation, my teacher instructed, 'If you are meditating you are thinking, and if you are distracted you are deluded'.
    I adore Krishnamurti. He is a gifted orator with immaculate speech that can be clearly understood. Although my practice is Mahamudra & Dzogchen, I often listen to Krishnamurti as I find no difference in instructions. I wish more genuine teachers come out rather than the fake ones. But sadly most people like believes and dogmas as it requires no critical thinking
    One of my teachers said, if you wish to test the teacher, then check the followers. And this can't be more true with Krishnamurti.

This is an extract of all that can be said about mind, thinking, religion, God n Godliness, limit of thoughts and that intellectual love and compassion mostly out of the intellect. This video clip is like a bomb, Let it be under your clothes of beliefs, conclusion, experiences, attachments and sll things of the mind. If you realise them as the limitations cripling your life which means you have let thst bomb explode in you. This bomb is bomb of awareness and you will be surely puged, blessed with truth, love and compassion!

      Paying attention means to listen with all senses and nerves operating thoroughly so that the conditioned process which automatically begins to translate whatever is heard into your own convenient ideas is turned off. Listening is then from a free state of mind not according to the proclivities of past knowledge and experience which interfere with the full meaning of whatever Krishnamurti is saying.

    I was contemplating the limits of my own thoughts last night. Our universal mind (awareness and making sense of that awareness) has been programmed by our social context…we adapt to our social environment. Zen refers to the deconditioning of our mind so we become less bound to our habitual thought pattern and more open to our universal mind. We are brothers and sisters in this awareness.

    You are not thoughts, emotions or sensations, you are that highest intelligence and awareness of the universe that perceives and is aware of them
    Thoughts, emotions and sensations are not something that can help or be useful to the highest intelligence, awareness itself. Thoughts, emotions and sensations all appear to that which you are, because you are that which is able to perceive them. They wouldn't exist without you. You are not dependant on them, they simply appear because you are. You are such a vast intelligence that simply everything appears within you, the whole universe itself, including thoughts, emotions and sensations.
    You do not need to be attached to any thoughts, emotions and sensations, nor to be attached to anything that appears within that which you are, for they have nothing to do with what you truly are, you are not affected by anything that is, because you are that which is. You just stay that which you are, stay in the silence of your own being. The highest intelligence does not give any importance to any thoughts, emotions and sensations because it is aware of its own silence.
    The highest intelligence does not use thoughts, emotions and sensations in order to be. It is completely free from all of these appearing phenomena, it is not the phenomena and not the creator of the phenomena, it is all imagined within that highest intelligence which you are. You are not bound to something that appears within you, you are that greater in which it appears. You must stay in awareness of what you truly are, you must trust in that which you are.
    The highest intelligence won't be heard, because it doesn't like to talk. It would rather simply be, be in its own divine being and simply be aware of the vastness. The highest intelligence is easily perceived when one simply turns its attention on one's self. It is easily perceived because it is all that is. Every single thing in existence is that highest intelligence and an expression of the highest intelligence. There is nothing but the highest intelligence alone, pretending to be certain forms, pretending to be thought, pretending to be emotions, sensations, humans, life, death, these are all things it pretends to be, but in truth there is only itself alone. All these are not true, but appearances, when you believe these appearances you lose sight of what is true, the highest intelligence that is ever-present. The highest intelligence is the most obvious thing that is, but it is so subtle that everything misses it. It doesn't take much to realize that presence that you are. Truly you are that.
    The highest intelligence does not give in to any doubt, that which gives in to doubt is not the highest intelligence, it is merely thought, and that highest intelligence is aware of that thought. The highest intelligence has no fear of the unknown, since it is itself the unknown, and it is able to know itself through that which is perceived. By realizing all that appears, appears within the highest intelligence, including your own sense of self, even that dissolves into the silence of the highest intelligence that you are.
    Every single thought you entertain, every single emotion you entertain, every single sensation you entertain, simply takes you away from the recognition of what you truly are. Do realize that you are simply beyond them, there is nothing to do with them. Both what appears to be "good" and "bad" is the highest intelligence itself. There is no good and no bad, these are just thoughts, the highest intelligence doesn't see good or bad, it only sees itself and is what it is.

    "When you picture the insight of the thought, thoughts comes out to it's limited place". "You have to work and you have to think and understand this"... These two statements say that one needs to work hard to picture the insights and totality, but only instrument we have is thoughts which is limited. My question is when we investigate in oneself who is asking the question to whom? Will, not thoughts deceive oneself when one is asking question?

      That is thought creating fragmentation. Ie. Asking the question and answering itself through memory. Which is an image. Which again the mind is responsible for.
      What he is suggesting is that for balanced action to take place one has to come to terms of the limited nature of thought. And in knowing his limitations he will gain access to a greater understanding. Which is outside of thought

      @@DIMSANON1 questions never arise when we look inside my friend, it arises when one relate oneself with the social order to fit in. like your question why am I asking something? It is like you want to be the authority accepting the authority of K, and I think that what k was careful about so that people do not make their clan and breed another sort of violence. Question is the only spade to dig deep within you.. otherwise, you will just flow in emotion and eventually build another fragmentation...

      @amitsijapati7400 4 года назад

      @@hadror13 I agree with your perception my friend on this part when one realizes the limitation of the thoughts one can easily sublime their ego. but my concern is to see who is stopping me from realizing the simple fact. May be it is the conditioning that I am giving myself that thought is limited which is just a mere phrase. Metacognition is thinking upon thinking.. but the realization is when all the thinking stops.. and to bring both of this together seems to me like balancing. Questioning is the only key to bring this together.

      @amitsijapati7400 4 года назад

      @@im.vikasgurjar i really appreciate your compassion trying to explain my question. Deep thanks. However in your transition from individual thoughts to the consciousness is a little tricky here. As K mentions thoughts are the content of consciousness and consciousness is awareness of own thought is limited and not the whole. but unless we do not allow these thoughts to dance freely in our head we we will not be able to break the container and get the flow of consciousness so accepting to the k words may make our awareness limited and things just be like merry go round the bush... anyways thanks for your insight.
