Agreed. There is a poignancy about him, a little wounded as a child half expecting and fearing we won't listen or understand, yet beseeching, laying himself open, and with the deepest of caring and hope for all of us.
The "ugly baby" part of this is one of the most direct, searing, and beautiful passages I've heard speak.
Aside - I've heard a few bits of his story -- sounds amazing and worth looking into more (he was supposedly identified as the reincarnated "savior" of mankind by a rich Russian woman behind the theosophy movement and was taken in and trained by her in this role only to reject it all later -- saying he was no messianic savior...)

Even after some 60 years listening, Krishnaji remains as fresh as a newly formed blossom. The challenge is not to see him as any 'authority' or guru, which he would abhor. Rather to listen with every vestige of your being to the words, as if they were as a whispering of the wind, free and ungoverned and pure. After 60 years that remains an immense challenge, yet a constant in my life.

Yet, K has the ability to masterfully tap into its depths and skillfully gather enough terminology loaded with societal misnomers to then craft a truly transformational concept, step by step, to be realized.

Envy is created not just by thought, it arises out of a biological instinct of self preservation( and Self enhancement). It will continue to exist even when one observes it with total attention. The difference being that in the process of observation, one realizes that s/he is only a witness of the envy and not the entity that suffers. Thus being able to see the situation objectively, envy looses its grip.

Easier said than done, and doesn't really agree with what JK says. IMO it takes just as much, if even more energy ( read courage) to accept "what is" than to spring from it.

Yes, when people of influence twist the truth of "what is" it has an effect on our collective conscience. Look at politics. We don't know what we are doing - wars, shootings, emotional violence, etc.

    If
" what is" defines a state, then, all the manifestations of duality, along with conflict and violence, vanish with that understanding. The introspective mind comes to functionality, and only that much " action" as is required to secure the basics of subsistence, viz., food, clothing, and shelter befitting human dignity,is required to be performed. In this state of complete inaction, mind performs right action. In the state of "what is" there is every possibility of peace and harmony because it encompasses not only humanity ,but entire living beings. It is oneness,Advaita.

Technique to stay with that thought, rather the effect of that thought, without worrying about the cause, can be beautifully experienced and found in Vipassana of SN Goenka ji.

What I don't understand is when he said the word envy should not be said looked at but the word is only a thought like every one. Controlling thought is also a thought, One can not empty the mind completely that is the nature of the human mind.

To live without the “attachment” to memories. Memories exist nonetheless, however it is the false egoics minds - positive or negative attachment, to that particular memory that is gone. Then you live in the eternally present of the now. You do still remember to walk and talk, so memories are intact. Just without the false mind created egoic emotions of happy, sad, mad, …
