I am utilizing leftover wood to make this weeks project. I am also dabbling with color stains some more.
Using some black walnut, I created a feature ring using @DixieBellePaint Voodoo Gel Stain - Temptress - to stain a nice blue highlight section.
Tools I use:

Segmented turning is my favorite kind of turning. I enjoy the assembly as much as the turning. They do take a bit longer to make though. I doing some more color experimenting on my next bowl. Your last two videos have inspired me. Thanks for watching!
Nice small bowl.Did you intend for the wood to show through the paint? Looks good but perhaps a strong vibrant dye could have also been used to give a strong color contrast.
No, I wanted it to be darker, I should have applied a second coat. I am going to try a new color next time. Thank you for watching!
