I’m not sure how common it is, but Khao Soi would be awesome to watch. This video was great, and please continue to leave in the bloopers; I love it!
I just introduced my kids to Thai eggplant on Valentine’s Day (in Tom Kha), and all I could think about was how I mostly ate them in green curry when I lived in Thailand, and Voila! Here’s my how-to video for using up the extra eggplants! Perfect timing. 😊
PS You found yet another use for The Food Lab-that thing is heavy! 😂 Oh, and can I use snippets or frames from this video for KAN?

Dad (Depak) is one of the few men I have seen who can really rock a fedora. He really looks good with it on his head. As a couple, you can tell that the two of them were meant for each other. Just the best! They both must be very proud of their daughter, and I doubt that they have any complaints about their son-in-law. What a great family!
Food looks pretty good too. I love green curry, so I will have to try this one this coming week after I get the ingredients from the store.

Laughed out loud when you bruised the kaffir lime leaves and breathed in their aroma… yup I do the same thing when I make Thai curries or soups. Having my own tree in a pot outside my back door is essential! Houston does not always get cold, but when it goes below 45F I roll the tree into the garage. This year it has been in out , in out. 😂😂. Lemon grass in the garden too! Love your videos and the bloopers. Introduce all of my friends to your channel when I cook one of your recipes and they rave! Made vegan tofu palak paneer last week for an Indian feast. Awesome amazing and delicious as always. I love Torchy’s deep fried avocado tortillas wraps. Wondered if there was a way to make that less unhealthy??? But still tasty. I can never get the crumbs to stick to the avocado.

Isn’t the aroma so magical? There’s nothing quite like it. So incredible that you have your own tree in your backyard. I need to get one of those! I joke (but not really joking) that I would love to make a lime leaves and lemongrass perfume 😂 I’m so happy you’re enjoying my recipes! I don’t think I’ve ever heard of Torchys… But that does sound delicious!

Totally get it, lemongrass can be confusing! I’m glad it was helpful. Red curry is pretty similar to green curry but with red chiles and a few minor differences here and there. I’ve only had panang curry a few times, I think i need to change that!

I love Native Forest Coconut Milk, but... You gotta get the "simple" version!! At least in my opinion (and of other Thai people I've talked to) the "classic" version which includes guar gum tastes like coconut milk + plastic. It might be more consistent, but I've opened literally 100's of cans & the company seems to have come up with a better process in the last couple years to get the consistency pretty, well consistent, in every can 👍👍
