They do, when you go to the dealer and say the word "NSX" loud enough, the lights go down and this song starts blasting through the dealership. My friend did it once and he told me fireworks and strobe lights came on like a WWE event as an NSX rose out of the ground after all the other cars caught fire

Let's take a moment and appreciate the fact that at 29 years of age I still think Honda is the most prestigious Japanese car brand because of this music and the background screen at Honda dealership.

I simply cannot explain the sensation of mystery, power, exclusivity, prestige... that I felt playing this game, its music, its graphics for the time, its passion... a magical cocktail that I cannot put into words, it does not have much logical but it was beautiful, it was a drug..., I miss "that" a lot, after more than 20 years I never felt it again, never again

Same here. I've missed the same feeling since I first played GT1 and got my first copy of Gran Turismo 3.
Gran Turismo 1-3 resonate with me, even more than Gran Turismo 4. GT4 is arguebly the best one for majority of folks, but the soundtracks from GT GT2 and GT3 are unmatched.
One of my biggest dreams is to drive a Honda NSX from the 90's into the sunset, while listening to this masterpiece

This dealer song in particular always sounded like the biggest one, the most epic. Like you were doing the godliest of things by purchasing a Honda or Acura. Lol This game and GT2 are the embodiment of my childhood. Truly ahead of their time. I'm thankful to have lived through a period where these masterful pieces of game history existed.

+Corey Pinches I wouldn't say it's creepy. It's definitely sadder and moodier than the other bright manufacturer tunes. The TVR theme is similarly moody.

NSX, NSX 90, NSX TypeSzero, NSX Type S, Integra Type R, Integra, Prelude, Civic sir II, Civic Ferio, Civic Wagon, EK Civic, Civic Type R, Crx Del Sol, NSX LM, Mugen… this theme brings so many memories
I think the reason I remember Honda's theme so much more is because I like how different it is, all of the other dealership themes sound somewhat similar, but this one stands out a lot, different key signature, the pad is ominous and that synth lead, with that bass riff underneath, all partnered with the dark and heavily filtered pic of the NSX driving off, it's... disturbing, but I feel heavy nostalgia and now it brings me so much comfort
Idk why but I think it's hilarious how evil they made Honda's theme sound. It's like Honda is the antagonist of car manufacturers.
That's kind of fitting for GT1, you can get your (and other opponents') ass kicked by the NSX TypeS Zero in plenty of events

Honda back in 90s is like one of those underdog beast even using NA Engine as their engine layout
But,they are pretty agile and monstrous like what they did with NSX
this is such a cool track and I have not heard it in a number of years but boy when i hear the first few seconds of it, it is like the equivalent of a dopamine rush. Sweeet.

this theme made the nsx so badass
I don’t know who was in charge of picking the music for this game but whoever did, definitely took a lot of acid and went into a dark room and performed magic. This song goes so well with the mysterious NSX and cars like the prelude and del sol. It’s literally so perfect. The songs just make you feel so connected to the game. It really is unlike any other game in that aspect. It’s 2020 and I have YET to find a better soundtrack than this game. Well tuned and perfectly crafted.

This was my first driving game 20 years ago. Acura was the first car i bought in that game. From that date, i love than brand. These cars are exactly as i want to see Japan cars. I love TLX and MDX.
Just to listen to the music, I read all the cars' descriptions and history. This was my favourite dealership tune, alongside Chevrolet, Dodge and Subaru

I remember the background for this dealer, too, though I wasn't scared of it, but there was something about it (along with the music) that seemed peculiar.
This comment was so vague, I can't believe I thought it made any sense lol. I was thinking about that background image for the dealership. Something about the brakelights piercing the darkness really added to the mysteriousness. I love it though. I always go for that beautiful and rowdy NSX

Just throwing out a super weird theory but I was taking a guess that this could be a 3rd Generation Supra because I read somewhere that the car that inspired Kaz to create the GT series was when he saw a Mk3 Supra. Idk for sure but that's my guess lol.

Back in the 90's cars were in their absolute perfection. 60s 70s 80s every decade the cars got better and better. More and more (easy) computer implementaion to improve performance mileage emissions and made the search for malfunctions more easy because of the on board diagnostic system. But everything in a simple way and most of the engine bays kept very accessible. But since the 2000's onwards the cars did not improve that much in usability. mileage just got a little bit better but not much. more computer implementation just made it worse and the components are hard to reach. and the reliability are worse than back then because from the engineering point of view most of the engine design is not for mileage or durability anymore just only for emissions so that the engines will fail earlier than ever before. Most cars of today have major problems after 100k miles while old 90's cars can make 150k or sometimes 250k without even thinking about the engine itself.
This, and an NSX GT LM2 rotating slowly. Looking at that screen for the fist time. Click. Stats. 600hp / 900kg. "SWEET".

Suddenly I start to think about what made them create such music just for the regions outside of Japan? Why this style of music? Why not just moving everything they already made in their native version? And what would dealerships sound like if the regions stayed separate? I appreciate their work in the current games (having grown accustomed to jazz fusion recently) but I grew up on these unique tunes in my earliest years and still listen to them whenever I play sim racers. It certainly got me thinking...
