But this isn't a base-drop. That shit is a bass-punch to the fucking gut. +Kite Same here. By this time, the game's checkpoint pacing and more frequent gunplay had me a little worn out. Saw I'd be starting as the dual SMG guy and just kind of sighed. Started, then the beat dropped and I just went full-auto berserk. Did so much better than I normally do and it was great. Somehow captured the feel that I was afraid the second game may have lost; encouraging bold, reckless play and that playing fast and unafraid was the best way to go about it.

This song is OP
After playing HM2 and finding this song and listening to it more and more i can truly say this song is a fucking masterpiece and by far the best song ive ever heard in my entire life. It adds a pulse to my body and a beat to my step every time i hear it and it never gets old whatsoever. Carpenter Brut is by far, a genius, and the producers of HM2 have INSANELY good taste in music
This is most people's introduction to Darksynth, as well as mine, and damn, listening this song for the first time is a soul-ejecting experience. Good job, you lunatic.
1:15 is just electronic heaven, really good work boss!
After years of looking for this song I gave up, little did I know it would find me.
1:14 wow that part sounds awesome.
Brushing teeth in the morning has never been so intense
The griminess of the synth just sounds so fuckin cool.

one of my irls was staying with me for a couple days while i tried to help her through a tough mental episode, and one day we decided to put on a couple albums we both like throughout the day to keep it not boring. i had heard Escape From Midwich Valley before and when i heard it again after she put on Trilogy on spotify, i knew i was in for a good time. the whole album was a banger from start to finish, but this song in particular became my favorite that day, the synths and the grunge just hit perfectly for me. i also found out that day this is a perfect song for when you need to clutch a losing game lmao
I knew this song through hotline miami 2 and it is currently one of my favorites
I dont think anything compares to the first time you play this level, this song goes so hard

Even years after I found this, that album cover is just so visually striking to me. Ignoring the inverted cross and stuff, I just get this vibe that photo was taken on a very very bad day, like some serious shit went down and people's lives were changed forever.
I believe the inverted cross is a reference to the Satanic Panic of the 80’s, not being used unironically
@@cyberglitcher4659that and i think carpenter brut abd this includes perturbator, they wre both inspired by metal.

This used to be the Protocol Uproar music way back in Project: Rising Dawn... Pathos III was fun and still is, thank you, Carpenter Brut, for this awesome song.
