I’m an old guy. I had the pleasure of seeing SuperTramp in concert in the 70’s on this album tour. I will say that they are one of a few bands. That sounds exactly the same in concert as the studio version. ✌️😎
Ditto! Accidentally saw them late 70's on Vancouver Island - *I and only 11 others in a 10K seat arena* - To date only band to sound as good or better live than studio versions. We 12 paid $6:50 each and still they performed *Full Set-list* plus an *encore* of unreleased *Breakfast in America* songs. We were expecting to see *Ted Nugget* but instead *Even in the quietest moments* Summer Tour

Supertramp is a great English rock band formed in 1969. They had so many hit songs in the 70's-80's such as "Dreamer", "Goodbye Stranger", "Give A Little Bit", "Breakfast In America", "Rudy", "Take The Long Way Home", "It's Raining Again", "Bloody Well Right", "My Kind Of Lady", "Cannonball", "I'm Beggin' You", "You Win, I Lose" etc.
That harmonica represents the whistle of the train that takes British kids to school. I love this song. I saw them in concert in 1979. Best concert I ever went to before or since.
Crime of the Century is one of the best produced LPs of its day. Back in the 70s every mid to high end stereo shop had this record available in their listening rooms. You could really put a system through its paces with School.
Supertramp is AMAZING! It's my favorite band ever! I would recommend "Even in the Quietest Moments", "Rudy" and "lord is it mine" because these are my favorites! But choosing songs from supertramp to me is like choosing your favorite son (you love them all equally). Enjoy.
Right up there with Queen, Supertramp is one of the very best bands of all time.
Innovative and had a wide range of styles.
Their Breakfast in America album is simply a masterpiece.

Supertramp is so freaking amazing and I was there to live through it, when a teen at least. In middle school (junior high 1977-1980), this album was played constantly by me & everyone else. Still one of my faves of all time. Instrumentally, voices, harmonies, lyrics - timeless & brilliant. Used to listen in the dark lol

" Goodbye Stranger " " Give a Little Bit " Breakfast in America " are among the Best. This song is better than I remember. When Supertramp came on the radio there was no mistake, it's Supertramp. Unique, playful and genius.
If you notice Supertramp and Pink Floyd are both British bands and they both sing about the school system over in London / Britain 🇬🇧 and its harshness !
