Well, I'm officially deeming this reaction a perfect one. You've got all the right ingredients involved. One of the greatest songs ever recorded, a loving couple enjoying music together, lots of smiles and that adorable bickering with love. Awesome, keep up the great work you two, the world needs you & music now more than ever. ☮️🎵🧠
This great song just brings home the old saying, "The more things change, the more they stay the same.". Thanks for your reaction.
Love this song! Supertramp were a great English rock band formed in 1969. They had so many hit songs in the 70's-80's such as "Breakfast In America", "Goodbye Stranger", "Take The Long Way Home", "Dreamer", "It's Raining Again", "Bloody Well Right", "Give A Little Bit", "My Kind Of Lady", "Cannonball", "I'm Beggin' You", "You Win, I Lose" etc.
TY for the list, I remember so many, if not all of them. 😊
Seen a few reactions to this song. You two were the first to actually LISTEN and respond to these wonderful lyrics
Agreed great reaction
"We are ALL vegetables these days." What an absolutely appropriate comment by Andrei. Love you guys and your great reactions. 🙂🙂🖖🖖
Most of the Supertamp songs are like this: superficially nice to sing along, but on closer inspection very deep. As a non-native speaker, I was able to get to know Supertramp twice.
You both have a philosophical attitude that I admire very much. The respect you have for each other is obvious too. We need people like you in America today. Thanks for your reactions. ☺✌💛, PJ
LOVED his excitement....!
The music that came out between 1965-1995 will never ever ever never ever be topped. The greatest melodies. Synchronize a great time.❤️
'95 is being extremely generous... Just sayin
One of the most underrated bands ever. These guys were fantastic, & Rodger Hodgson a genius. This entire album is full of terrific songs, not a bad one at all with some really good lyrics throughout (& the sax & harmonica!). Hope you do many more! (& I agree with you, there is very little civil discourse today. People disagree with you & want to shout you down instead of discuss). Your smiles said it all…how great this song is.😊
This was the lead single from the album "Breakfast in America", one of the few albums in the world to have sold more than 20 million copies. It was the high point and, simultaneously, the beginning of the end of Supertramp. After the world tour they recorded another album, but things between them were already going badly and soon after Roger Hodgson, one of the two composers / singers of the band (the one who wrote and sang The Logical Song), left Supertramp. The other members tried to continue on their own, with poor results and then tried, in vain, to convince Hodgson to return. Roger continued and still continues to perform and this is still one of the most requested songs by the public
"The Logical Song" has been my favorite song for 40+ years and the good reactions can help transport me back to the first times i listened to it. Yours was a good one. Thank you.
Andrei was so cute when he realized that he had heard this song before. Don't worry Dominika, you probably aren't the only one who wishes not to have the responsibilities and bills that adults must endure. The sax in this song is spectacular! What a great song for you to react to. Have a great day! God Bless!🐢
I'm going to age myself and this song. I was that young man that just turned 18, driving around listening to "Breakfast in America" cassette in my car.
Nas-T tenor sax.
"Those who know the least, know it the loudest".
Andrei knows this song longer and heard it many times, loves the song but doesn't know what it was about 😅 a bit like me for a very long time, and Dominika hears one time and straight away is onto the context, is very true what you say about how it could easily be applied to the way things are today Dominika, you two in my opinion are a beautiful couple, real people and I loved your reaction to this great song and others I have spent time watching with you both...thank you for being real and catch you on the next one....
I will always remember the first time I heard " Crime of the century" album. The sound..the production.. the songs..top nodge. Great band.Thank you.❤
Second album I bought.
Can't believe it's 50 years ago!
YES!! After Floyd and Dire Straits we get Supertramp. Please go down the Supertramp rabbit hole you'll truly love it. I remember seeing Floyd at Earls Court and a couple of weeks after, seeing Supertramp at the Royal Albert Hall and Scott Page was playing Sax on stage at both concerts. Fab!
You will love the song "School" both lyrically and musically, again the production is superb, almost Floyd like.... enjoy.
Songs like this are timeless and crosses all boundaries. It is something we all connect to whether in the 70s or in 2023.
Great reaction to a great song. I watched another video recently that explained that this is about the singer Rodger Hodgson's growing up as middle class and then getting sent to private school. It changed his view on everything as it is presented in the lyrics.. I hope I understood the story right and fact check me. LOL... I love watching other people react to the music that I grew up with👍. Keep up the great work.🍻🥂🇨🇦
It is a very important song for all generations! :)
More and more are waking up, the pigs and dogs are becoming visibly twitchy and nervous 🙂💖
Love this song. Be a free thinker!
Love Supertramp!!!
I have always loved this particular song; however, after watching this video, and your reactions to this video, I must say that I like the song even more! I cannot express enough how much I truly appreciate watching your reaction videos. I see the honest reactions of two people who love music, and sincerely respect the meaning of the songs you react to. I find myself searching for your posts every time I come to RUclips. I truly thank you for allowing a tiny bit of truthfulness to the internet, and realism in your videos. I wish, with all my heart, that I could afford to support you in what you do. You are loved, and I thank you so much.
This has been one of my favorite songs since I was a child, long before I could fully understand it (about 7 years old). But I have grown and so has my understanding of it. I am so thrilled that you have found it, too.
Best reactions in RUclips, keep up guys, congratulations from Uruguay
Shhh😂😂Great reaction to a superb band, hope you react to more Supertramp✌
I saw Supertramp in concert in the late 70's and at the time was not familiar with the band or music so sadly I did not appreciate the experience. Love them now and wish I would have known to appreciate them then.
This song was written about his parents sending him away to boarding school for 10 long years.
Wonderful reaction all I can say is "Woza" loved this album since I first heard it when it was released, I'm 67 now and still love it.
Supertramp is one if the best bands in the world good choice of song for reaction.
Appreciate to react their song: Child Of Vision. It is so beautiful.
Of all the songs to react to, this really needs to be listened to with the lyrics, like this time. They are so powerful, but you could miss some of them whilst listening to the beautiful music.
I love you people so much ..
Excelente rola!!!!..... de mis favoritas, yo tenía 20 años cuando la oí por primera vez y desde entonces la escuchaba diariamente, saludos mis estimados desde Guadalajara México.
Similar meaning in a much different song,,Pink Floyd "Time". Love y'alls energy👍👍
I loved the relevant reaction to this song!
I loooove reviewers who THINK!
I love you guys. Keep it up!!
Childhood memories~!! I was 13 when this song came out😂
I just love hearing you debate... you are so sensible and I love it! More of you to the world!
More supertramp please, you will love them❤️
Great Great band!!!!!
Glad to see you are the only reaction channel that gets the lyrics. Supertramp was very progressive and forward-thinking part of the counterculture. Sadly, nowadays so much spin has ruined things...you are so correct when you say who speaks the loudest, same for the news channels, the one that speaks the loudest is the one that have been forced to admit lying over and over again to support one side of things. Yep, this song is fire for the music but the lyrics are HUGE for me.
I'm a first time visitor to your channel.Great reaction! Fun to see younger music lovers discover Supertramp through the Logical Song. I always liked the lyrics, but it's the music and instrumentation that never failed to blow me away. Best to you!
I've seen a lot of reactions to this song and this is my favorite reaction. Took the words right out of my mouth.
I think one or both of you should run for public office!! 😉😊😊 You truly are remarkable in your abilities to interpret and use your critical thinking skills during your reactions. Luff ya both. 😘😘
Thank you for introducing us to another amazing song! 😊
Supertramp made on of the best albums of the 70s in Crime of the Century. Then the followed it up with 4-5 really good albums
Another rabbit hole. My personal favorites are "Even in the Quietest Moments" and "Crime of the Century" albums.
Me encanta la forma de pensar de esta mujer
"I WOULD LIKE TO LISTEN" love it ❤👍✌️
I absolutely adore you two … keep up the great videos and the brilliant take on all different music … so happy I found your channel ❤
Nicely played Y'all 👍 I grew up on this. The bottom line... Innocence lost when we have to grow up. Spread the love 🐶😎🇺🇸
"please don't make me feel bad for not knowing this song". Lol.
Thank you for your reaction....... These are some of the best lyrics ever written. Literally timeless in their impact..... The influences of "Society" are always going to be pulling us in many directions...... Finding our own place is the goal...... But it is a struggle to get there...... Thanks again......... I am always amazed by you two .
Roger Hodgson's autobiographal song about the experience of being sent away to an Engish Boarding School. Brilliant song!!
crime of the Century album by supertramp is epic!
Love this song!
I'm really, really happy that you like this music.
She has never left my side since the first time, in 1977. She always amazes me. There is always a detail, something that still manages to amaze me, even after hundreds and hundreds of listens.
As someone who lived through them the 70s were a dress rehearsal for today 😂
It's great watching your reactions to such great songs. With Supertramp, you have to listen to Take the long way home, Fool's Ouverture (beware, you might shed a few tears), Give a little bit and so many more.
You should do more Supertramp. Being familiar with you taste in music, you're going to love them.
what a rabbit-hole
Sure
A perfect depiction of modern materialism, ahead of it time., by a mile
Someone probably already said this but I didn't see it in the comments I scrolled. The story is that the songwriter, Roger Hodgson, was a very happy child who truly enjoyed his childhood but was then sent to a rather strict and severe boarding school for ten years which was a defining experience for him.
Loved your reaction and breakdown of the lyrics
My wife bought this album. It is downstairs somewhere sadly. Very popular back in the day.
I am so glad you have finally listened to Supertramp. I have mentioned them to you in my comments several times. For me….they on the same level as Pink Floyd. They are musically amazing and their lyrics are deep and thought provoking. But…..they have a lighter way of presenting some very serious issues. Pink Floyd is very emotional and I love them, but Supertramp does it in a more mellow way…..please more Supertramp.❤️🙏🇨🇦
So I have just discovered you 2 cuties, and have been binge watching from 7 a.m. getting nothing done on my Saturday. Greeting from Victoria British Columbia 🇨🇦
You should check out Supertramp’s Take the Long Way Home…sooooo beautiful.
"Character Assassination" is the last resort of the "defeated".
From their 1979 album, 'Breakfast in America', which I bought (in 1979), aged 17yrs 11mths. :o)
You would probably love "School"!
Roger Hodgson was a superb songwriter. His lyrics were usually deep and meaningful, and often had a message. This was topped off by the band themselves, most of whom were classically trained musicians.......
Supertramp was the real deal. 🙂 They have so many great songs, but Long Way Home is my personal fav!
my favorite by these guys
Spot on reaction to this great Supertramp song. Great job to the both of you.
You two crack me up.
Strength comes from freedom of speech.
I do love sheep. They are cute and helpless.
Loved the joy on your faces at this one. Supertramp are incredible.
Great review by a couple of like minded people who I can relate to ❤️✌🏼
one of the 20th centurys best albums ever! i have my copies!
One of the greatest songs ever writen and performed!
I'm in my 60s now.
A person can change.
People in general do not.
The names and faces change, but all the ideas do not!
Humanity, what a concept!
Because of your PinkFloyd/David Gilmour Reactions (this "music" is a lifetime- experience) I went nuts, After recognicing you guys found the other "impossible " Band. Ptease explore the Beginning of Supertramp and their Livealbum Live in Paris. You will find musicans as delikate as PinkFloyd
Your reaction was beautiful
I realy like this song and i realy like the Scooter version too :). Gretings from Hungary.
we need to play this during protest.
From what I understand this a perspective from the artist when he was shipped off to a boarding school! I'm sure it will be elaborated on in the comments. When we are young, innocent and things appear magical until we get older and all that fades away because of responsibilities! Of course, times are different now! We don't ship our kids off to boarding schools but replace everything with a cell phone!
Thank you this song sends me back to the 80s when my cousin and I have served in the United States Marine Corps together and grew up together. He passed away in the 90s . Memories good memories. Thank you 🙂😢🙂
I'm with Dominika. Adulthood stinks!
I just wanted to share this beautiful piece of music it's sort of like a home video interactions with his wife Polly. She's the one walking around refilling everybody's tea. A lot of people don't know that she wrote a lot of lyrics four Pink Floyd
I was 13 in 79. Goodbye Stranger is my favorite by them! Great memories!! 🇺🇸
you were explaining how you feel about being an adult and it sucks. The song "Hotel California" was written about the line you cross from adolescence to adulthood, and how you "can never leave", once you accept the responsibilities. There is no going back to childhood.
In the seventies we had smart people doing music and art. I guess we had intelligent influencers.
Love the band, great pick for us today... Spock's favorite song. ;)
It's the first time I've really listened to the words of this song......They were ahead of their time.
this song kicksass imo.
Supertramp were a huge band here in Canada 🇨🇦 since 1974. Their album Crime Of The Century was a huge #1 album here As were Crisis What Crisis in 1975 and Even In The Quietest Moments in 1977. #1 albums. Finally the rest of the world discovered them with the #1 album Breakfast In America. Saw them live in 1974 and 1979. Amazing band!!!❤❤❤
Vegetables are good for you, we need more of them😊
Pink Floyd , Genesis, Supertramp, Queen, Fleetwood Mac and so many others were my youth soundtrack. Thank you for reacting to this gem.
