    Really appreciate you taking the time to video this process. Much easier for you to just do the work and forget about the camera but I'm glad you make the effort to help us suzuki owners.

    Great video, well done and very helpful, thanks!
    I think you may have missed the step of disconnecting the electrical connection to the high pressure fuel pump before cranking the motor to relieve the fuel pressure. That may be why you still had some pressure in the hose when you disconnected it. Also I don't think the step of using a bottle to collect fuel during cranking is necessary, it's not mentioned in the service manual and no fuel came out of the red hose when I cranked my motor.

    Awesome video bro!!
    Curious..., the adjustment nut for the valves is torqued to 8ft-lbs and the valve cover bolts less..?? just 7.2ft-lbs? Is that right?
    I ask because when you took off the cover initially, it seemed to me like the cover bolts were torqued down (from factory) a lot more than just 7.2ft-lbs..

    • @laingej
      @laingej  3 года назад +1

      @da_q-ban_one you are absolutely right about all.. The cover bolts were tighter than i expected..from factory. But service manual reads 7.2 lbs. couldve been the paint? Not sure.

    Just a quick question, what’s the mark in the flywheel? I’ve got the same engine that came to an abrupt stop and now it won’t start! I am trying to work out the timing mark on the flywheel! I don’t have a workshop nearby or a manual. Thanks.

    I have a Suzuki 2017 DF20. All your videos are outstanding. Very simple to follow and your subtitles fill in the blanks. Question. My DF20 on start up after sitting for a few days puts out a small cloud of white smoke. Another person the lake has same engine and year and it does the same, however 2 others with same year DF15 have a cloud of white smoke upon startup after a few days. Any ideas. Also it does not burn any oil in a season

    • @eighthnotch_
      @eighthnotch_ 2 года назад

      From my understanding you leave the motor trimmed/titled up for extended periods of time the oil can slowly makes it way into the cylinder, it’s recommended to keep it vertically stored.

    Where do you order all your gaskets and oil rings from?

  • @andrzejfiertek2089
    @andrzejfiertek2089 5 месяцев назад

    The exhaust valves had to be left at 0.009in and the intake valves at 8 or 7. It is not that important what the manufacturer states, the exhaust valves are always set looser because they heat up much more, so it will be smaller during operation...
