I'm from California been living in Naptown for 4 yrs now. I've worked security in Haughville, & a few spots on the Eastside and I had no idea how active it was out here. For the most part tho if you mind yo own business you can avoid the BS. Its mainly the youngstas going crazy out here just like all the other big city's in America. Good job shedding light on the different hoods in Naptown though because a lot of people don't know much about Indy.

A lot of truth to what you said. “If you mind your business you can avoid the BS”. Back in 2004 I worked for a company that mowed all the grass in Town & Terrace at 42nd and Post. We pulled up in brand new trucks, fancy trailers and the best mowers money could buy. We were 2 young white dudes just Doing our jobs. We had no clue we were working in a war zone! We mowed there once a week and the only problems we had is when people when get shitty if we blew the grass on their porch. Watching these videos now makes me wonder how we were never robbed

I really like what you doing nashan I’m from the far eastside myself I grew up on 21st and mitthofer and 21st and Ritter and I went to Warren township my whole life and went to Warren with a bunch of brotha from 42nd and post road your area you grew up in and me growing in the hood myself alot of people that didn’t grow up in that environment like we did don’t understand that we get discriminated against and labeled as a thug or a gangster and it makes it harder for a young black male or young black sista to get a job opportunity when people come from where we come from our opportunities are very slim but there is alot of us who make it out and I’m always happy and proud to see them make it out where we all came up at 👸🏿🤴🏿✊🏿

Maybe it’s actually how he’s claiming it to be for his generation. I can also vouch that it’s like that here in the city with the youth. He’s a kid on his own journey. When I was a kid I make decisions that allowed others to know I was a kid but then I grew. I’m 29 now
