    Wow, that's a great feature/idea Rob....the intro showing how to 'actually' get to the fishery. Spent many hours over the years to-ing & fro-ing try to get to where I'm headed. Cheers mate, great vid as always...

    You just can't beat that lunge of a big river barbel mate 👍 I live on the Isle of Wight nowadays but this took me back to fishing the Severn at Coalport back in the 80s & 90s. We used to have lovely nets of barbel, and they were all like peas in a pod between 5-8 pounds. Absolutely lovely fishing way downstream of the Brewery Inn day ticket stretch where it used to get fished a lot......We would walk further than everyone else and it was peaceful and beautiful with the barbel being a bonus.
    I do really miss my fishing 😢

    Excellent feature, Rob. Never seen a vid for the B Section. It is a long walk to that swim, easier and quicker using the footpath by the railway, especially on hot days as there's some shade from the trees. Nice by the island, also. The barbel are generally smaller, and some nice club.

    there's a cracking swim in that section, section below the gravel island that the kayaks stop on, prob just over half way down the stretch. there's a 3 level platform on the opposite side, a load of over hanging trees below. deeper water fom mid river to under the trees- has never let me down, biggest was 10 on the nose

    • @RobsAngling
      @RobsAngling  Год назад

      Hi, Sorry for the delay. This probably isn’t the best stretch as the banks are up/down in places. The BAA stretch at Hampton Loade on the opposite bank is more accessible so that would likely be better. I use 1.75lb TC rods which are great for the Severn. Good luck and tight lines 👍🎣

    Rob how far apart was the RH rod to the LH when you brought it back? Was it fishing the same line? Nice video well presented.

    • @RobsAngling
      @RobsAngling  2 года назад

      Hi Stephen, I fished both rods on the same line so the upstream rod was also feeding the downstream rod area. They were 4m-5m’s apart I’d say. Hope this helps. 👍🎣

    I have a question for the UK people. I am from Eastern Europe, and I would like to ask how can you fish on those rivers in the Uk ? Probably you need a national fishing licence and after that you pay a ticket by area/stretch/town/city/county ? Thank you very much !

    • @RobsAngling
      @RobsAngling  Год назад

      You need a rod licence which you can buy online - This is a requirement to fish anywhere in the UK. You then need a ticket to fish different rivers or lakes dependent on who has the fishing rights to the venue. Hope this helps 👍🎣
