In Legends, Pellaeon was one of the most important imperials after the death of the Emperor. He served numerous Warlords as well as leaders of the Imperial Remnant (like the Legends version of Thrawn) before eventually becoming the de-facto leader of the Empire (though de jure, it was still ruled by the Council of Moffs) himself and forming a piece with the New Republic that ensured the continued existence of the Empire for the rest of Legends history (which turned out to be a lot more positive than it sounds). He was also responsible for the Empire joining the Galactic Alliance when the extra-galactic Yuuzhan Vong invaded and, after a short retirement, even became the head of the Galactic Alliance Defense Force before being killed for not supporting a certain rising Sith Lord.

"The other shoe's about to drop.." jokes on you, the shoe dropped like 20 years ago when Moff Gideon use The Purge of Mandalore to make a comms dead secret base where he could mine Beskar for his own designs. Bruh, he barely in the show and he out planned everyone in it.
That comment the guy on the left made about the ties being hung like bats and the base is in a cave. That’s a great observation, and totally went over my head. But he’s %100 with that.
I suspect The Armorer is the other spy. The episode title is "Spies", and I don't think Elia Kane is the only spy working for Gideon. It was the Armorer that told Bo-Katan to get all the Mandalorians together in one place. It was also super convenient that she left before the ambush.
Moff Gideon has a full Imperial base on the planet. It also doesn't appear to be too far from the Great Forge. If only there were some Mandalorians from the planet that have been there the entire time that could warn Bo Katan and her group...or lead them directly into an ambush.
@TheNormies You do not want the base destroyed. If the Madalorians capture it like they did the space ships, that is a lot of infrastructure that they do not have to build again, It would be a great starting point to spread out from. Did you also notice that only half the fleet showed up at Mandalore, there is half the fleet missing. Look at the images so they planned for an attack.
Paz couldn't have flown out. His jetpack was smoking when his gun overheated because it's what the gun drew its power from. So once the gun overheated, it disabled the jetpack
33:29 Dathomirian Zabrak, their a sub-species as the origin planet is Iridonia: Master Eeth Koth, and the female bounty hunter Sugi from CW are Iridonian Zabrak; there's one other but I can't remember his name, I think he's with the arrest group in ROTS...
They are not pointless. They are power couplers. Obi-wan and Qui-gon actually fought in a power plant. These walls are not Power couplers......Just shield walls.
I am a bit confused as to why Grogu didn't do anything. In the past we saw him use the Force to do some pretty darn cool stuff, but now he mainly jumps and, in the last episode, redirect "balls" through hoops. I'm fairly certain he could have fucked up some of the enemies in this episode. But maybe he was enjoying his new ride too much and forgot that he can use the Force.
The Mando guy on the Planet that u know from somewhere else, i just remembered he is the guy in the new Top Gun movie, when John Hamm and this guy have to decide if Maverick can lead the team again...
I really enjoyed the fight and action scenes but I was upset that Mando was captured and Pac was murdered! I want to know who is the spy! So now I guess the Mandalorians have no choice but to unite because the Empire is out to destroy them!! Giancarlo is such a great bad azz as Moff Gideon!
Glad someone picked up on Moff's helmet being the same as the people following Darth Maul. But, how has no one picked up on that the Armorer has the same type of helmet? I have a suggestion that she is one of "The Spies" the episode is named after.
Hey Flea from Red Hot chilli peppers was in Obi Wan! Ok, so Favreau has exited The Mandalorian so he can appear in Ahsoka! Taika has his own input in this one, Grogu has a droid suit and no dad joke can compete with him.
Marketa really does love the Armorer. This should be interesting. Of course Marketa does have a history of loving characters who are actually the villain.
I dunno if anybody said but the red guys aren't the dark trooper suits, they were the white-armored guys with the jetpacks. The red guys are Praetorian guards, as in the same red elite guys that Rey & Kylo fought in episode 8 & they are based off of Palpatine's royal imperial guards, which also looked very similar. Although these guards seem to have mando-styled visors on their helmets, so it wouldn't be crazy to think that their armor could be made from beskar just like the troopers.
34:33 He couldn't fly out without the risk of being an open target to any of those imperial troops on stand by, plus all of the artillery they have in those hangars at the other end of the ravine. Bulldozing through was his best option in this kind of situation.
Why did the Armorer have to be the one who ferried the wounded back to the fleet? They were on there way to see the literal reason for her existence. Anyone could have taken the wounded back. Very convenient for her that she wasn’t there when the ambush happened. Just saying…
They set up the tension of this episode so well... Everyone who watches it is bracing themselves for Imperial arrival, but they're already there. Many don't even realize it when the Mandalorian underground begins to look like an Imperial corridor. Mandalore conquered, and turned Imperial... A travesty on top of a travesty... An insult to the injury. For their armor forging secrets to be lost to enemy hands... and then used against them...? That's how you slap the Mandalorians in the face right there. I mean, Moff Gideon and his Imperial forces are striking at the very nerve of what it means to be Mandalorian. Then, to actually say to their faces that he will be the continuation of Mandalore after their demise... He has no idea of the kind of beast that he could unleash in a united and vengeful Mandalore - one that has already lost everything and has nothing left to lose. I really hope they play that particular aspect out, though, of how the Mandalorians must feel in the face of "Imperial Beskar". That's gotta be like spit to the face or something... Like a twist of the knife. Imperial imposters... You can't just put on some Beskar and then call yourself a Mandalorian. It doesn't work that way. "Mandalorian" is a Way of Life. It is a title that truly only belongs to those who walk the Way of the Mand'alor. No matter how many treasures they plunder from Mandalore, they'll never possess the treasure of actually being Mandalorian. Imperial scum. Destroy them all, pile them up and set them ablaze, and then collect the Beskar from their ashes. "This is the Way." Burn the Imperial paint clean off of our Metal.
Moff Gideons Arnor+ Helmet and the pre-First Order Jet Pack Troopers look soooo cool, they're my fav design in Star wars now, next to the Sith Troopers
No he couldn't just fly away. The scene where chunks the last trooper over edge, his het pack was throwing out sparks. Meaning it was broken. Many have missed the sparks.
While everyone is trying to guess who else could be an Imperial spy, here are two theories that I thought of: 1.Paz Vizsla is part-Wookiee. 2.Moff Gideon is a cultural appropriator.

@@kharilane1340 he didnt start the series as a good leader, that's why he could have a storyline about learning something new. maybe he would have if this were still his show. he started as the protagonist and has been downgraded to sidekick.
"he looks like Darth Vader cosplaying nephew" that's what I said! he just needs the helmet
Bwahahaha! Chris digging that 🕳️ in the intro was funny af! I’ve been there bruv!
RIP The Big Dog Paz 🙏🏼
paz vislas death reminded me so much of jesus's death in the walking dead, where he was a good introduction to the whisperers, this is an amazing re introduction to the guards
That is Hux's dad who used to beat Hux. And that explains alot.
"The other shoe's about to drop.." jokes on you, the shoe dropped like 20 years ago when Moff Gideon use The Purge of Mandalore to make a comms dead secret base where he could mine Beskar for his own designs. Bruh, he barely in the show and he out planned everyone in it.
12:52-13:15 When your uncle/aunt buys you a toy your parents didnt want you to have.
They’re basically doing to Mandalore what we discovered they did to Ilum during Fallen Order.
@@justinkelley9448 😂
@TheNormies You do not want the base destroyed. If the Madalorians capture it like they did the space ships, that is a lot of infrastructure that they do not have to build again, It would be a great starting point to spread out from.
Did you also notice that only half the fleet showed up at Mandalore, there is half the fleet missing. Look at the images so they planned for an attack.
33:28 Maul is a Dathomirian, but his race is a Zabrak
Paz couldn't have flown out. His jetpack was smoking when his gun overheated because it's what the gun drew its power from. So once the gun overheated, it disabled the jetpack
Dave didn’t want that death. Johnny Favs wanted his character to go out like a BOSS
I can’t wait for Rebels Reactions😁
Really???
When ??
@@rockerojerez349 they already started the show , after clone wars reactions are done on youtube , they will post the Rebels reactions
@@rockerojerez349 After Clone Wars they finished Tales of the Jedi and now they’re doing Rebels.
28:35 Gideon isn't a Grand Moff, he's just Moff xD
Maybe not in actual title but I think he deserves Grand
33:29 Dathomirian Zabrak, their a sub-species as the origin planet is Iridonia: Master Eeth Koth, and the female bounty hunter Sugi from CW are Iridonian Zabrak; there's one other but I can't remember his name, I think he's with the arrest group in ROTS...
They are not pointless. They are power couplers. Obi-wan and Qui-gon actually fought in a power plant. These walls are not Power couplers......Just shield walls.
That intro…what even happened 🤣🤣🤣 love you guys! Lol
Hello guys. That guys has still not given up his Hydra days😆. Space Bakshi, from AOS.
You might be onto something with the "enjoying the ride" bit.
Bully Grogu now having a Mech-Droid. No living creature is safe now, when he's hungry.
The Mando guy on the Planet that u know from somewhere else, i just remembered he is the guy in the new Top Gun movie, when John Hamm and this guy have to decide if Maverick can lead the team again...
Warlock
I really enjoyed the fight and action scenes but I was upset that Mando was captured and Pac was murdered! I want to know who is the spy! So now I guess the Mandalorians have no choice but to unite because the Empire is out to destroy them!! Giancarlo is such a great bad azz as Moff Gideon!
2:02 - how did you forget that Baby Leia was kidnapped by RHCP?
4:03 - Oh, shit, you must've been walking around like R2-D2.
34:57 ahahah they're just saying stuff 🤣
they were the proto praetorian guards!
Jon Favreau played Pre-Viszla in the Clone Wars that's why he plays Paz.
THANKS for this!!!!!! I had to see the dog to see that huge Grogu pillow :)
34:33 He couldn't fly out without the risk of being an open target to any of those imperial troops on stand by, plus all of the artillery they have in those hangars at the other end of the ravine. Bulldozing through was his best option in this kind of situation.
That Hux’s dad not young hux
Its actually his brother
He’s right it’s Brendol Hux the father of Hux from the sequel trilogy.
@@Anonymous-rc7kq no the actor is domnhal gleesons brother, but the actual character is the dad
I had a college roommate who could best be described as equal parts Bobby Hill and Zoidberg 😂😅
Why did the Armorer have to be the one who ferried the wounded back to the fleet? They were on there way to see the literal reason for her existence. Anyone could have taken the wounded back. Very convenient for her that she wasn’t there when the ambush happened. Just saying…
I’m sorry but Din is The mandalorian! Next season he needs to be the main character still.
He cannot fly, you can see his Jetpack sparking before the guards show up
They set up the tension of this episode so well...
"This is the Way."
Burn the Imperial paint clean off of our Metal.
While everyone is trying to guess who else could be an Imperial spy, here are two theories that I thought of:
1.Paz Vizsla is part-Wookiee.
2.Moff Gideon is a cultural appropriator.
I feel like getting to the point where you recognize meiloorun fruit is basically a rite of passage for Star Wars fans -- getting into Eric territory, here.
I don't know how much of it is due to the fanservice bits really working on me, but I thought this episode was great!
I can’t believe Moff Gideon captured the Mandalorian before liberating from the Imperial Occupation!
Rana, love action Chopper was in the AHSOKA trailer.
Marketa, you want Grogu to speak ... Ta da!
Chris, um ... "Drip" is a nickname for really a stylish outfit. That's your story. Stick to it! 🤣
Damarin, smart play, don't even get into the conversation. 🤔👍
It's not Jon Favreau playing as Paz Visla anymore.
the thrawn namedrop had me going crazy
This Hux is Brendol Hux, Armitage Hux's father. Armitage would still be a child at this point, probably around 8 years old or somewhere around that range.
They literally mention the Praetoroan guards twice in the beginning of the episode. You've all seen The Last Jedi. Who they are should not be confusing.
OK give us a Mandalorian drop-ship battle ride at Galaxy's Edge, and a 'make your own Mandalorian helmet' with optional armor parts including jet pack.
Happy belated birthday 🎂 🥳 🎉 🎈 🎁 🎊.
Yoda lived to be over 700…so Yoda species years are like 100yrs to every 10 human yrs. That means Grogu is like 5. I’m going to need you to start talking lil buddy. Let’s pick up the pace lol
It's got to be a Trojan horse situation cuz we never saw how the mandalorians that were on mandalor were injured. They are probably infiltrating their ship.
Rana reacting to this episode is the best lol. Love it
