Yes you can! Had my P'up on Blocks for decades before I bagged it. I'd just add a 2" to a 2" then a 3" even if I remember correctly...still got my P'up, too.
I had a 1987 B2200 ex-cab. I had so many plans for it but I quickly fell in love with another truck and traded it in.
