Really cool to see a channel still doing down-to-earth stuff with Mazda B series trucks! I got one from my aunt for $1 several years ago, a '90 B2200 regular cab. Wanted to make it into a project but eventually gave up due to lack of resources (and I had no experience working on cars, thus no confidence to DIY stuff without a guide). Ended up with an EG Civic for a project and the B2200 was somewhat neglected, heading out on the road once or twice a year at most. Now that my EG project is getting closer to "finished", I'm getting the itch to return to the Mazda and do something with it. Crazy builds like Gingium's drift truck are fun to see, but achievable mods like bedliner, a slight drop, and better brakes are what I'm now planning for mine thanks to your video series. Maybe even a Weber, though it'll take more than that to make my truck "fast"...
thanks a lot man! i appreciate the kind words, i completely agree with what you said about the crazy builds, i love gingiums truck but its just not attainable for me or any other normal person with limited resources, im just a high school kid in his driveway working on his only vehicle so i figure if its something i can do then most other people can too, i think the relatability aspect is a huge part of the viewership experience aswell.
@@Blue_B2200 Gingiums trucks ok but its setup for drift and would be trash for daily road use. Search online, the old forums have tons of d.i.y. stuff. Id rather bag and body drop a b2200 vs drift. I looking to buy a rot free b2200, then im gonna start a full build series. Body drop, bags ect
personally not what im going for with the truck, going for a more 90s japanese modification style with the end result of it being something fun i can take to autocross events
The photos in the link show the rotors being 5 lug, are those the rotors you ordered and you received 6 lug? Just curious would love to have slotted rotors for my 89’ b2200.Nice video man👌
yes that is the same place i ordered them from, i also was concerned with that however when they showed up they were in fact 6 lug, seems to just be a generic image that they use for it
@@Blue_B2200 thank you so very much👍 wanted to throw on slotted rotors for some time but was worried about receiving the wrong rotors. Great video, have you used any drum components from R1?
havent used any drums from them, i did have to replace my drums and wheel cylinders but not any shoes or other parts so i ended up buying separately from rockauto/O'Reilly's
