    Kool, I had an 89 b2200 automatic. Sold it in early 2000’s with 220k miles. It still ran great, 29mpg. It was starting to use a bit of oil tho…
    Looking forward to your future videos. Wish I still had mine.

    There is a hole in the bottom of the filter housing on the carb. You'll need to plug that hole ( It would normally be used as a connection to the oil breather port on the valve cover ) ; If you haven't done that already. -- plugging the hole just prevents dust and dirt from bypassing the filter and going into the engine.

    In the US for the 1980 model year, it was sold as the B2000, which used a 2.0-liter F/MA engine, replacing the B1800. The diesel 2.2-liter B2200 was sold from 1981 with the chassis code UD (introduced during 1982 for the United States).
    If it has a carburetor then it isn't a 2200. Straight from wikipedia, the gas engine is the B2000 as it is a 2.0 liter engine. The Perkins diesel is the 2.2 liter B2200.
    Your truck is great and so is your channel, just wanted you to be aware as a fellow B series owner.😅

      youre wrong, my truck is a uf chassis, all b2000 and b2200 sold in the u.s. from 1986-1993 are carbureted unless originally sold in california. my truck uses the f2 2.2l carbureted gas engine, the uf b2000 uses the fe 2L carbureted gas engine.

      naw man, B2200's were 1987-1991 i think. 2.2l gasoline engine. I have a 1989 B2200, and it is carbureted. The factory carbs are complicated and a pain in the butt though.

    Hey, great videos! How have you been liking the Weber? What have you found are the benefits of having it vs. the stock carb?

    • @Blue_B2200
      @Blue_B2200  7 месяцев назад +1

      biggest benefit is probably throttle response, power isnt really improved at all but it feels more accurate to when i press the pedal, it also increases intake noise which is nice

  • @anthonycorda8583
    @anthonycorda8583 4 месяца назад +1

    Do you need to take the rubber grommet off from in between the throttle cable, Saw that in another video

    • @Blue_B2200
      @Blue_B2200  4 месяца назад

      not sure if you mean take the grommet off entirely or just remove it temporarily, definitely not permanently. i also dont recall having to remove it to install the cable but i could be misremembering

    Next time use some marking fluid like dykem or even a sharpie to see the high and low spots while you sand it flat

    • @Blue_B2200
      @Blue_B2200  Год назад +1

      didnt even think about that, really good idea, i actually ended up sanding a little more than i showed in the video to make sure it was good but I'll definitely keep that in mind

    what power source do you have the choke hooked up to? im having trouble locating the wires.

    • @Blue_B2200
      @Blue_B2200  6 месяцев назад

      theres a wire that connects to the alternator which is what i connected it to, you have to cut the factory connector and crimp on a new one because its held in place solid on the factory carb

  • @UniqueAerial
    @UniqueAerial Год назад +1

    Would you please show how you wired the Electric Choke to the distributor???

    • @Blue_B2200
      @Blue_B2200  Год назад

      unfortunately cant go back in time and record that however i can tell you, all that i did was cut the wire of the choke and then peel back the insulation a little bit to get some wire visible and i crimped a connector onto the factory wire

    Why do you have to take the icu" what’s is it for? And with the weber is it running better and faster? And keep the good work man

    • @Blue_B2200
      @Blue_B2200  Год назад +4

      you dont necessarily have to remove the ecu however its of no use unless you want to go back to the factory carb at some point, they can be sold on ebay for about $100 so i took it out because i figure i may as well make some money back from the price of the weber carb. it's running a lot better and smoother than factory with the weber, throttle response is much better but i wouldnt say theres a noticeable increase in horsepower at all, fuel mileage (when properly tuned) is also better which is an added bonus

  • @chuckconnors615

    So I am curious why would you do the $526 Weber vs the $160 no name carb on this truck?

    • @Blue_B2200
      @Blue_B2200  Год назад

      the cheaper weber knockoffs are known to have inconsistent chokes, fuel mixture screws that back out, etc. so i went with the one i knew wouldnt cause me problems, nothing stopping you from using a replica though

    • @Blue_B2200

    • @carlandersonlll6861

      Why would you want a cheap Chinese made knockoff when you can spend a few more hundred dollars to get the genuine Webber carb that you will only put in once and have no problems. With the cheap Chinese carbs theres problems with them.

    • @Blue_B2200
      @Blue_B2200  24 дня назад +1

      quite honestly i didnt feel any power gain over stock, these trucks are severely restricted by the exhaust so intake modifications dont do much, but this does simplify working on the truck a lot, it makes general maintenance way easier as it frees up a ton of space in the engine bay

    • @peacepuffz
      @peacepuffz 24 дня назад +1

      @@Blue_B2200 Yeah it looks nice! I've got a 323 BF 1989 so will look for a kit that fits that. Have you thought about getting your valve cover power coated? That can set the engine bay off nice.
