it feels like SOD is going wrong direction. Instead of making the classes more "playable" by adding more spells like dmg mitigation, cc, resilience to, they are adding OP spells with insane dmg. What's it gonna be like on 60? 7k HP getting one shot every time? They will have to buff gear.. otherwise they would have to nerf every class.
Some of my fondest memories of classic was getting my PvP gear & Unstoppable force & 1 shot reckbombing people with Seal of Righteousness, proc's on every hit.

With mage it is actually like that PoM AB+AS, dead. Boomies and spriest will also kill you before you ever connect with them, so what's the difference really. Damage is out of fucking control haha.
Should you also count the time between running to and from the enemy to get into melee range? its just a much of a muchness. Don't think too deep about it.
And I dont. Boring af, even lore wise shamans were using one hander weapon, doomhammer etc. 2H might be fun for pvp and it actually is working for pvp right now not for pve
You will still go deep ret. 15% on SoR isnt worth dropping 15% Physical and Holy along with 6% 2hander and 10% Sanc. Only reason would be you want to have Holy shock but not suck in damage output.
@@aignite Seal twisting SoR is only like 90ish damage uncrittable with Crusader debuffed. Problem is the mana upkeep is unsustainable for twisting every swing. Auto attack physical damage still accounts for 40% of your damage losing the 15% physical is a 7.5% loss average. Not to mention AoW on SoM with wild strikes means that you'd hardly ever get the GCD to even twist and it is a major DPS loss if you fail a twist that doesnt either judge SoM or have the swing trigger a SoM hit.

The thing is with sp for max burst you have to setup on the way. You need 3 spikes + swp on the target to actually do big burst. That way you have a 100% mind blast critting for 1800ish and swd gritting for 1000+
still RNG for spriest. 3 spikes makes mind blast 90% crit, not 100%. swd doesn’t receive a crit modifier from spike at all. void plague better than twisted fate in BGs anyway.
That is pretty much impossible. max int gets you to between 6 and 7 % crit. Getting 2% more crit is technically possible with irradiated robe and engineering belt but those are bad pieces of gear + you still miss around 1.5% crit. @@visha0203

pre starsurge for procs on a mob, before the start, then starfire into starsurge into whatever after mainly a wrath or sunfire if a crit happens on the previous casts, and not dead yet. Could also be cheky and wait until you get a starsurge crit pre cast, to make starfire cast even faster for the first hit.
