i was waiting for that to be tried like as soon as they made it to the chain the first time, but for some reason it takes shobek a very long time to start trying that, or even just blinding the guy on the chain. also hemo is just not a good build in SoD, thats why he actually started doing damage once he switched to anything else (saber slash in this case)
Why is nobody pointing out how Shobek tricked him by walking backwards that very last time, shaman didn't expect the distracting shot there. The shaman really was outhustled. Its like a boxer who keeps throwing the same massive shot over and over a certain way for opponent to expect it, then just slight alteration for the KO.
This right here is why classic world pvp is just amazing. He used the environment, he used potions, he used trinkets, he used the shadows, HE USED A RANDOM PERSON WALKING BY. But the shaman had the elements on his side, so he had just stood there and fought, as close as he could possibly be to the very elements themselves. Amazing, like genuinely incredible.
Sadly, 99% of the fights aren't this. It's some rogue 10 levels higher than you ganking you repeatedly because they're 12 and its hilarious to be a kid.

How is using an ability from his spellbook considered cheating? How is using terrain to his advantage considered cheating? Aren't these things common in pvp matches? You strike me as someone that thinks because a rogue can initiate combat from stealth, they're cheating by doing that. Heads up my guy - you are mistaken.

Took a master in rogue to kill this shaman... the class imbalance is real. The shaman played "well" cause he just self heal and place the same totem over and over again with almost unlimited mana while Shobek had to time most skills perfectly and praying it doesn't miss.
he is a good rogue, but hes using hemo swords in SoD, which just doesnt seem to do damage in pvp. if you look he actually starts doing reasonable damage once he switches to saber slash. it sucks that non-dagger builds are punished in SoD, but it is what it is i guess
I have fought a battle in the old days in Vanilla. It was me as a priest versus a paladin. It was a 1v1 battle that took over 30 minutes and I loved it. It was all about endurance just like your fight.

Shaman would not have fallen into lava without Shobek's distract. Keep in mind that was like the 5th or 6th try too so shaman knew about it already. Plus there was zero fall damage which means the shaman failed his lava jumps as well. He had plenty of mana to cast bigger heals but didn't. He was outfoxed which is a 100% viable way to lose in a duel. He was playing a broken class but lost due to failing to react to some of most basic mechanics in the game. He lost fair and square but also is obvi a good player so he earns our respect.
I liked the showmanship.... walking backwards on the tight rope while giving the viewers a good view was pretty funny tbh.... you cant deny that he's an entertainer....
