Kudos to Jesse and Anna, but for me Alyssa is the rockstar! Going up the roof, pulling it up, hammering it, putting screws, going down again and again. Probably will be editing videos later tonight and cook some dinner. Gosh! Super Wife!!!
There is no way I could be doing that but I get to experience it vicariously through your videos. My hands are sweating like I’m up there. Amazing. Beautiful roof.
Of all the tasks I've watched Alyssa take on in this project, this is the most amazing! I just don't know many women who would/could step up and make it happen. So amazed!
You guys just show us that you should never give up, no matter what. From the beginning we were impressed the both of you best of luck to you and take care.
I wonder if Alyssa realizes how far she has come from the first 25 vids. She does complex construction tasks as naturally as breathing now. It is impressive to see.
Having Anna makes the world of difference ✊ she is a amazing help to have around and a real troper 💪💪 I’ll hope you can pay her back in a way that really helps her out in the future🤝
Anna is awesome!! She really has a way with materials. Jessie you're doing a great job, but Alysa is a maniac on that roof!! Up so high and you guys seem so comfortable. It is so awesome that you didn't listen to the comments and higher a roofer, all you needed to do was step back and figure it out. Great job.
Alyssa, You are such a trooper. You amaze me with your skills and knowledge. I could not scale up and down that roof like that and you make it look easy. I could see in your face how tired you were when you finally got off the roof. You guys are just fantastic.. PS I need you mailing addy for something I would like to send you for an early house warming gift. I know I will still be here when that day comes.
Allysa, you are amazing! If I still owned my construction company I would hire you in an instant. Just a suggestion, wear a tool belt. Put the screws in a pocket, drill a hole in base of hammer and tie to belt, anchor drill to belt as well. You can then hammer and screw in one run which will save a lot of time and energy! Love what you guys are doing and the fact that you discuss all your errors and thought processes.
I know that you have probably already finished the roof since these videos are a couple of months behind. Can't wait to see how you dealt with the plumbing vents. Keep up the good work and BE SAFE!
So here's an reaction from the Netherlands. My English is way to bad to expres my respect for what you all are doing up there. I'm following your channel for quiet a while now and I wish I'd had half the persistance to keep going on of you guys while working on my own house. And that house is already build and just needs maintenance. So keep up the good work and keep it save. I surely want to watch your channel further for a long time. And a big applause for Anna!!
Alyssa, I agree with RA Wilson his earlier comment that you are so ambidextrous, climbing the ladder while working the mallet, and hand tools with your left hand !👏Jesse you got crazy right/left skills too! 👍 Anna, you “Rock”, and are amazing! 🙌🏻
Hats off to Anna! She is one heck of a trooper and a great person/sister. Between her and Alyssa's parents you have a great family to have helped you as much as they have. We think you are doing great, while doing so much. Between the build itself then the video work to get them on line for us to watch and then all the other things that have to be done around a house/building site. THANK YOU for all you have done!
Wow guys. You are amazing. Alyssa, I don't know how you do that last hoist up to the ridge! Looks scary. And kudos to Anna. You have to have the best sister in the world. She has devoted so much of her free time to this build. What a blessing she is. Thanks for the videos!
Good job guys! Losing one roofing panel is a no sweat situation, one of yous on the other hand slips, or accidentally herts or cuts its self would be devastating a roofing panel should be the least of your worries. God bless you both including Anna!!!
You all are doing an awesome job, but Alyssa gets extra props for working the high-side, that really takes nerves of steel. "J", you've got yourself a true American Bad-Azz wife.
Gah, the first video of yours I haven't been able to watch in it's entirety as it was triggering my vertigo and I damn near fell out of my armchair! Thank you Jesse, Alyssa, Bugaboo (& Anna) for the regular updates and best wishes for your fantastic project. Love from the UK.
I am amazed at how comfortable you Guys have got with working at height - those shots of you laying back on the ladder halfway up the roof put it into scary perspective! Be safe x
That's funny that you mentioned your abs are sore. I saw yesterday's video and I was thinking with the amount of climbing, lifting, hammering, and everything else, you should have biceps the size of my head.😄
Anna is a godsend, the two of you make one of the best construction teams I have seen in a long time. Please be careful remember it is quite a height, always check your ropes and ladder to make sure they're safe keep up the good work guys.
A tip, from someone who has done quite a few of these. Hang you ladder from the ridge with a rope attached to the ridge, lay it on top of the metal roof, sketchy but gets it done. Keep up the great work!
It's getting better Jesse and Alyssa. Your approaching the half way point for your installation of your metal roof. I am so glad you have been safe thus far ! keep up the good work and stay safe. Love what your accomplishing on your house. Hope ya beat winter weather on that roof. UGH.
I am so happy for you that the flying sheet of roofing iron only hit the ground and didn't injure or worse anyone on the roof or the ground. That roofing sure looks the bees knees when up there. I like it very much.
I just want to say, thank you. Recently, your videos have been my 'Ahhh' moment after I finish a long stretch of teaching. It's so awesome to see how much progress you are making! You guys are such troopers, Anna included. But please try to take a little time to rest and recuperate! Burnout is a very real thing (I teach ESL online, and have been working 6 days a week for the past 2 years; I also teach a class in Sunday school at my church. So essentially I've been teaching 7 days a week for 2 years. Burnout is REAL, my friends. I finally decided to take off Saturdays; so next Saturday is my last Saturday until I can have a real weekend again! :D ) Thank you for sharing your journey with us. It is very inspiring. :)
Sometimes i am scared for you but i tip my hat off to you. I learned a lot from you both. Be patient and take one step at a time and you will over come your challenges.
Jesse you hit the family jackpot with Anna, what a trooper. Given the profile of your roofing spans, it's not surprising you are keeping to a true square, unlike sips and almost every other building material, roofing is pressure rolled from coils of sheet normally 100+ meters in length then guillotined at the length the customer requires. Given the height and angle of each of the 2 raised ridges, you would have to make a monumental bulls up to get out of square after the original span has been laid. Looking good so far. Keep up the good work.
You are doing a fantastic job folks! If you still want to use that panel contact someone that does PDR (paintless dent repair) on cars. They can restore almost any damaged metal to original condition without damaging the paint any more.
This is crazy you guys ... wow ... good thing you are not afraid of heights ... Alyssa you are a WARRIOR ... doing what you do is FREAKING amazing. Don’t know any women that would do what you do...
Alyssa ,jesse,Anna...great,great,great,jobs guys roof looks amazing u guys kicked ass thank u for this amazing video super stoked in the next video..u guys rockkkkk
you guys are kicking it, it took me a month too do my cabin, which was only a 40x30 it killed my ass to get them on the roof, then hang off along the slope, which was a 12/4 drop.
I think Anna is the star of the show. She's busting it down on the ground keeping production moving. Go girl!
Sherwood330 mmmnn
Kudos to Jesse and Anna, but for me Alyssa is the rockstar! Going up the roof, pulling it up, hammering it, putting screws, going down again and again. Probably will be editing videos later tonight and cook some dinner. Gosh! Super Wife!!!
There is no way I could be doing that but I get to experience it vicariously through your videos. My hands are sweating like I’m up there. Amazing. Beautiful roof.
Anna definitely deserves many many thank you dinners when it's all said and done!
Of all the tasks I've watched Alyssa take on in this project, this is the most amazing!
I just don't know many women who would/could step up and make it happen. So amazed!
How many men would go up there? You couldn't get me up there with a red hot poker!
What a great sister! You two are blessed with an awesome third set of hands.
Alyssa is one brave woman. That is a very steep roof. Most men would not make that climb. Hats off.
You guys just show us that you should never give up, no matter what. From the beginning we were impressed the both of you best of luck to you and take care.
I wonder if Alyssa realizes how far she has come from the first 25 vids. She does complex construction tasks as naturally as breathing now. It is impressive to see.
Anna was an enormous help, y'all take good care of her
Having Anna makes the world of difference ✊ she is a amazing help to have around and a real troper 💪💪 I’ll hope you can pay her back in a way that really helps her out in the future🤝

Anna should have a permanent special place in the house! What a great friend!
If we were to ever meet, I'm never going to challenge either one of you to arm wrestle. I'm so impressed.
Looking good thank goodness that no one was hurt when that pannel went flying. Thanks Anna for all the help.
Alyssa, You are such a trooper. You amaze me with your skills and knowledge. I could not scale up and down that roof like that and you make it look easy. PS I need you mailing addy for something I would like to send you for an early house warming gift. I know I will still be here when that day comes.
I'm wondering how many sisters would be such warriors to help you with your build. You should be grateful. :)
You’ll sure miss Rosie-Anna when she goes home. She’s been a big help and does great work. Keep up the good work and thanks for sharing with us.
You guys are very fortunate to have Anna. She’s awesome !
Allysa, you are amazing! If I still owned my construction company I would hire you in an instant. Just a suggestion, wear a tool belt. I marvel at Alyssa going up and down that ladder swinging the mallet and hoping from the ladder to the roof top. Unreal.
I am seriously impressed !! Alysa is a Trooper !!!
Anna is a true trooper!
Yeah im jealous
Alyssa, I agree with RA Wilson his earlier comment that you are so ambidextrous, climbing the ladder while working the mallet, and hand tools with your left hand !👏Jesse you got crazy right/left skills too! 👍 Anna, you “Rock”, and are amazing! 🙌🏻

I think the contraption is amazing, well done you guys again for achieving the journey so far.
Allysa is always the voice of calm and reason! Go Girl!!
Alyssa, you’ve climbed that roof like a pro!
By the time you get done you’re going to have the kind of tone all those yoga girls are going for.
You two are lucky to have Anna.
I just want Anna and Alyssa to know that I think they are both awesome! 2 strong women! Go girls!
I am amazed at how comfortable you Guys have got with working at height - those shots of you laying back on the ladder halfway up the roof put it into scary perspective! Be safe x
Jesse you got an amazing wife. Beautiful, talented, energetic, and still isn't afraid to climb on top of your house ridge repeatedly. Wow.
I am so glad that you brought us along on this adventure.
That's funny that you mentioned your abs are sore. I saw yesterday's video and I was thinking with the amount of climbing, lifting, hammering, and everything else, you should have biceps the size of my head.😄
Please keep more videos like this coming. I personally enjoy seeing more work throughout the video. It shows how hard the work is to
I'm so very impressed by you all! You are very inspiring as a couple to work so well together.
Good timing caught me just before bed time. 👍
What a tuff woman Alyssa is !!! Lucky man Jesse...
I love standing seam roofs! You guys are the epitome of persistence and teamwork!
That rope tie off point for your fall restraint looks a bit long. If you fell I think you would be coming off the roof.
Anna is a godsend, the two of you make one of the best construction teams I have seen in a long time. Please be careful remember it is quite a height, always check your ropes and ladder to make sure they're safe keep up the good work guys.

Seeing this roof install really makes me want a Standing Seam on my next house. Can not wait to see out you top the ridge and eaves out.
Jesse you hit the family jackpot with Anna, what a trooper.

Outstanding progress, Aside from the wind trying to help you test durability, the day went good.
