Regarding the spoiler-y part that is in the huge red hole: There are 3 really important kinds of structures that I've found: -Yiga Clan Hideouts: defeat all Yiga Clan members and you'll be given a blueprint -Mines: They have a chest that most of the times is 20 energy crystals to upgrade your energy meter, but in some rare ocasions you can get the Armor that you got from Amiibo in BotW. If you explore the Sky Islands and get Old Maps, the maps will mark which Mines have those pieces of armor Forests: Somewhere inside the forests you can find a Hollow tree with a chest in it
I first started watching you for your Shrines videos so I definitely would love one for this 😁 sometimes the way the guide (not that there's one for TotK yet) explains things gets confusing so having a video actually SHOWING what you're supposed to do, is very helpful.
Something I found out today, If you have save data from BOTW on your switch, your horses from that game are still in the stable! I'm starting the game on a max stat/max bond horse and it makes me happy to think he's been with me through both adventures!
I found someone named Meeshy walking around on the path around that first shrine and she literally just tells you about Misko's treasure location. And she is even generous enough to mark the caves on your map, neat!
I've finished everything...all 1000 korok seeds, all signs, all wells, all caves, all bubbul gems, all items, all shrines, all lightroots, all Yiga/Zonai schematics, and I'm still at 98.99% completion. So I've got quite a search ahead of me to figure out what I missed. It's POSSIBLE that I could've missed a couple caves that have multiple entrances.
This tips video was way better than expected. I half expected some recycled tips from breath of the wild. Nope, this was fresh and important. Thank you for your hard work.
The best method I’ve found so far for the giant rock guys in my Playthru on breath of the wild, was to use a two handed weapon and use the charge attack, but cancel right before it would use the smash attack so that I could save the durability, and by that time, he normally knocks you off, and your stamina will recover decently because you didn’t use all of it 7:45
My first set of armour was the knights armour, thx for showing this one. Additionally, there are wild horses that are used by bokoblins with a towing saddle. Poor horses.

Follows for all shrines. If there is a shrine up top..there is a light root right under. Name always spelt backward...i thought it was neat
The fact i never thought abt using stamps to mark shrines...also the fact the light roots are directly below the shrines is huge
A list of shrines per region series would be greatly appreciated ! 🎉
Just want to say I really appreciate the dedication you put into these videos. Unmatched & extremely helpful
A cool tip that I found is that if you shoot a multi shot bow with dazzle fruits 2 times, the puzzles with the yellow hexagon that require light can be skipped. I did it with a 5 shot but it may work on a 3 or 2 shot. I'm not sure if you would have to shoot more dazzle fruits though.
Another new big Switch release, another moment for Austin John Plays to shine. It’s like a holiday season all its own.
I don't know why, but I love watching these after I have finished the sections of the game covered by the video.
You helped me so much with BOTW and I look forward to going over all your tips on TOTK. Thanks a bunch!
I watched all your videos and I just bought the game and I just arrived on the ground, there is so much to do that I don't know where to start so I'm going to watch all your videos again haha
Thank you so much.
After watching this video, I now have a reason to be even more confused about which one to start with.
But I'm so excited.
I had no idea that Link can just ascend through the Stone Talus. Ascend has to be one of, if not the best video game ability. The more I use it, the more I love its uses.
Ascend is such a blast to use! All of the abilities are so much fun. I honestly forget to use ascend in a lot of situations and then I remember to in order to get out of tough places!
Honestly the best in the business. No one is this detailed when it comes to new games. Hope your also taking time to enjoy the game man.
make sure to sleep at the stables too, because it gives you a second pony point
Thank you for keeping that Bear moment for us to enjoy 😂
6:09 that one sidequest plus like all the DLC armor from BOTW. This is a logical extension of previously established Misko.
Also how did you get Mikanos from Misko? That’s amazing
I got a bunch of those fire thrower things from the sky island before I jumped off and then fused them to most of my spear weapons and then just cleared out hyrule castle for the good gear before even doing anything else
Horses have a literal horsepower stat. Fantastic.
The light root to shrine connection is amazing and the best news by far.
Thank you so much for all of these Tears of the Kingdom videos! I just started playing the game a couple of weeks ago and I've learned so much from them. I've watched almost all of the videos on your Tears of the Kingdom playlist. Keep up the awesome work!
I want to play the game on my own, but sometimes it is impossible to get stuff or understand the best places to explore. Thank you for these videos.
5:38 it's a really little change but i like that you press a to pick up rupees
I should've started with Rito. I started with Zora, and Prince Sidon is insanity inducing with how often his avatar got in my way before I finally had to shut him off lol.
Regarding the spoiler-y part that is in the huge red hole:
There are 3 really important kinds of structures that I've found:
-Yiga Clan Hideouts: defeat all Yiga Clan members and you'll be given a blueprint
-Mines: They have a chest that most of the times is 20 energy crystals to upgrade your energy meter, but in some rare ocasions you can get the Armor that you got from Amiibo in BotW. If you explore the Sky Islands and get Old Maps, the maps will mark which Mines have those pieces of armor
Forests: Somewhere inside the forests you can find a Hollow tree with a chest in it
I first started watching you for your Shrines videos so I definitely would love one for this 😁 sometimes the way the guide (not that there's one for TotK yet) explains things gets confusing so having a video actually SHOWING what you're supposed to do, is very helpful.
Thank you so much for the content! There are so many helpful tips in this video. It didn’t even dawn on me that we could ascend out of a cave 🙈
The video ended. And I instantly want more. Can't wait to see Austin 100% this game
Something I found out today, If you have save data from BOTW on your switch, your horses from that game are still in the stable! I'm starting the game on a max stat/max bond horse and it makes me happy to think he's been with me through both adventures!
btw meesha can also appear near zoras domain before crossing the first short bridge
I found someone named Meeshy walking around on the path around that first shrine and she literally just tells you about Misko's treasure location. And she is even generous enough to mark the caves on your map, neat!
Thank god your back on Zelda and we have more adventures to come
I've finished everything...all 1000 korok seeds, all signs, all wells, all caves, all bubbul gems, all items, all shrines, all lightroots, all Yiga/Zonai schematics, and I'm still at 98.99% completion.
Im soo stoked! I asked my dad if he could take me to gamestop after school and he said yes!
The best method I’ve found so far for the giant rock guys in my Playthru on breath of the wild, was to use a two handed weapon and use the charge attack, but cancel right before it would use the smash attack so that I could save the durability, and by that time, he normally knocks you off, and your stamina will recover decently because you didn’t use all of it 7:45
"wutter" get's me everytime 😆
Thanks for the quality content!
Metal weapons actually do more damage against a stone talus than stone. Try something like a soldier broadsword. Tons more damage. 👍🏻
I love how I chose the same symbol as Austin when it came to marking shrines
5:25 not Austin calling Blupees “Blurpies” hahaha 😂😅
Thanks for a very thorough lesson on auto builds that I’m definitely going to make and save as favourites.
Finally picked up my copy I can’t wait to get started ❤ Ty in advance for how many of your videos I’ll need
My first set of armour was the knights armour, thx for showing this one.
Additionally, there are wild horses that are used by bokoblins with a towing saddle. Poor horses.
Can't wait to play this game. Been waiting till I'm done with finals this week before I jump in. For now I'll just watch your amazing content.
22:10 that face he makes when he says the other two abilities are “Ok I guess” 😂
Hey Austin! Just a heads up, I had epona registered in botw and had it in the stable on my last save. Totk recognised that and imported epona to my game. Didn’t have to scan my amiibo which is great as I didn’t bring them on my holiday.
oh man im so glad Austin is still here. I need these tips so badly. I'm still used to the BoTW tactics i have lol. Unfortunately it definitely doesn't apply to this game. XD I keep dying. XD
I love that you left the rock stranded bear in, cracked me up. Keep up the great content
