It's a metaphor I think for how the times changed, in the first film - it was just classic dinosaurs, and he was the end all be all - but as the films evolved, and definitely as they started creating hybrid dinosaurs, it needs help because it's no longer the natural order of the dinosaur world they originally lived in before they went extinct.

i did the teeniest bit of research the first time this popped up to me and apparently t-rexes (i would assume other carnivorous dinosaurs as well) were absolutely capable of sneaking up on their prey. the loud shaking and vibrations are probably for dramatic effect; it is hollywood, after all.
Always assumed if you could hear the ground and things around you shaking, the dinosaur could already hear you and didn't care if you knew it was coming. Or they weren't hunting.
At 2:51, if you pay attention, as the camera zooms in on Rexy as she lays on the slab, there is a split second where you can see her image from 65 millions years ago as she lay dead. You can actually see the quills on top of her head.
It's obviously written as Rexy taking "revenge" for what happened to her original self back in the prologue scene during late Cretaceous. But it doesn't really make sense in the movie anymore since that scene was cut from the final theatrical release for some odd reason. So there is no way for viewer to connect that to this detail.
2:48 I could just imagine them filming this scene and the director saying "DUDE WHAT ARE YOU DOOOIIING!!? SHINE THE SPOTLIGHT OVER THERE ALLREEEAADY!!!"

Low budget and short deadline for the writing staff. Almost all shitty movies can be traced back to shitty money-hungry executives/management, not the staff who actually worked on the movie.
It would have been interesting if the Spinosaurus from Jurassic Park 3 had turned up to fight the Giganotosaurus. Alan would look at the old Spinosaurus and say: "Look who's turned up"
Everyone laughed at the director's claim that the Giga was going to be like the Joker, but that honestly would have made that scene much better. We would have at least had a bit more of a sense that it is good and important that the other two animals gang up and kill the other one animal. Instead, we were just confused on why we were expected to have a sense of victory from just random violence. The Indominous was more of an unhinged psychopath Joker than the Giga ever was. Though it would be even better if they all just acted like normal animals.
This movie didn't make me care about any of the dinosaurs. The Giga and Therizinosaurus weren't really relevant to the plot at all and were barely in the movie despite having a battle at the end. Even Blue and her baby barely have any time on the screen. The first Jurassic World movie did a much better job at making me care about each of the dinosaurs and how they interacted with people and other dinos. I think the Indominus worked very well as an antagonistic dinosaur, and every scene with the raptors was great.
I really, really, REALLY don't understand the "like actual animals" thing that people keep talking about in regards to these movies. Like bruh. Just watch walking with dinosaurs or some shit, the people that watch anything related to jurassic park just wanna see dinos fight. If they acted like real animals it'd be pretty damn boring, hell, they probably wouldn't even escape in the first place, and then it'd just be a movie about a theme park.. and why is it that people care so much about "scientific accuracy" suddenly when, like, even the original movies didn't even have that? And to their credit, honestly, I've always loved the dilophosaurus from the first one even though "iT dIdN't hAvE fRiLlS". Also the hybrids were a cool idea. They were hybrids to begin with, and let's face it, the human race is so jaded that at this point regular dinos probably WOULD get boring after a bit, and the fact that they look like, all monstery and unrealistic plays into the fact that they're supposed to be unnatural and stuff.
@@thesteelsquid863 I agree. Dinosaurs are animals, but they're extinct for a reason, and this franchise proves that. "Nothing in Jurassic World is natural." -Henry Wu. This clearly implies that not only is the Indomimus never was a Dinosaur to begin with, but the entirety of the Dinosaurs aren't Dinosaurs at all. Just bastardizations of real life Dinosaurs created by humanity.
I love how at 0:01 everyone is looking at different places because no one told them "Hey, the T-Rex is going to enter from this side, so look here!" [Not those actors fault btw, that's bad direction].
I should point out that according to more recent studies, it's very unlikely that Therizinosaurus or its close relatives could use their claws as effective weapons, as their hands and fingers wouldn't be strong enough to withstand the force of a slash and would almost certainly break on impact. Not only that, but Giga had no reason to let go of Rexy's neck the moment it bit down. All it had to do was keep the pressure on until Rexy gave out either from blood loss or suffocation.
We don't know if carnivorous dinosaurs tended to kill like lions (suffocation at the neck) and other cats - or like bears, who simply tear their prey apart while its still alive, because they can. Suffocation is actually a pretty advanced tactic that likely took lions and tigers EONS to perfect, especially given that it's mostly instinct, and isn't "taught" like human tactics are. It seems more likely to me that raptors and the mighty T-Rex (and their frankenstein counterparts) would kill brutally, like bears or wild dogs or birds of prey - ambush, then attack until the animal is dead or at least injured enough to start eating. Like Alan says in the first film: "You are alive, when they begin to eat you." Furthermore, this comes off like a territorial spat, not HUNTING. As in, this isn't about feeding. It's about dominance. Therefore, these animals are likely to use different tactics than if they were trying to kill for food. Animals who are trying to assert their DOMINION aren't always trying to be lethal - but simply tell other animals "fuck around and find out". Obviously that escalates to lethal results sometimes, but it's not always the result, unlike hunting.
@@wilder11 T Rex is a bone crushing dinosaur, it's skull is uniquely built to crush its prey, hence it is much broader than the Giganotosaurus. If it can get the Giganotosaurus' skull between its jaws, it can apply more than enough force to crush the skull. Giganotosaurus' skull, on the other hand, is built more for severing flesh. It has a narrower skull and is built around bringing its head down like an axe. It wouldn't be as focused on gripping the rex, and instead should be trying to rip chunks out of the rex's hide. It also has a lot less strength to resist being crushed, since thats not something it would have to adapt to in its climate. T Rex and Giganotosaurus did not interact in nature, this would be a really odd pairing for a fight.
@@dannyboiidare5631 ....not a very good one. It looks like the script writer was a 6 year old describing the scene and the rest of production had to make it. JP had dinosaurs that behaved like animals with some liberties taken to make them scarier. There wasn't a 'bronto vs raptor vs rex' scene because the focus was on characters getting off the island, not a random dino fight club with vanity shots for a high profile cast.
I am genuinely curious first off why they decided to re-use the T-Rex for the final fight in the movie, once again. Second, why did the Therizinosaurus even come into the fight considering it's not infringing on its territory? And, if it is on it's territory, why isn't it fighting the T-Rex?
This two scene "fued" just feels so tacked on and obligatory. It only exists because they felt they had to end with a dinosaur fight. It worked in Jurassic World because the Indominus was set up as a true villain and terrorized the park for the whole movie. So the end was satisfying. Here, the Giga is just another Dino acting as it should. No reason to hate it or root against it other than most people like Rexy more.
I was so confused as to why the films was trying so hard to make us cheer for the T-rex and Therizinosaurus. I was wondering if I actually nodded off and missed the part where they revealed the Giga was actually the real evil mastermind all along.
Yeah and Indominus was like a manufactured monstrosity - not just an ordinary beast. It sort of represented the scientists trying to play god creating a monster. It wasn't acting like a normal animal - it was recklessly killing and destroying everything. In a way, it was like Frankenstein's monster but even without any real redeeming value. It felt like it was mercy putting down a failed experiment and sold the idea that the T rex, raptor, and big water boi were nature re-conquering man's meddling. I personally hate all these new shitty dinosaur movies because they have nothing on the OG. That said, the finale scrap between in Jurassic World and that theme was well done for me. This movie? Dogshit.
as jurassic world continues i get more and more appreciation for just how well done jurassic park 3 did the spino vs rex fight. Now dont get me wrong i know that fight has its issues but compared too the world fights its a thrill ride. I miss the brutality and speed the jp3 spino and jp1 raptor fights had they felt realistic and powerful because of how short and brutal they where. Meanwhile in the worlds series the only time we got close too that was the indominus killed the ankylosaur after that every fight has essentially been a marvel movie fight where they take several minutes and the only damage that really matters is the killing blow. If they ever make another jurassic movie(which i am hoping they dont please just make a new original dinosaur movie just let the series retire peacefully) my only request is that they give us a fight thats animalistic and a minute or less, i dont care if the characters remain bland and the story bad just give me a proper damn dino fight
i also like that the spino actually started to eat the t rex it only showed up LAAAATER but at least it ate some of its kill in world all carnivore fights are just movie monster goes nomnomnom another movie that just came out with the exact same problem is meg 2 where the megalodons the kraken and the lil dinos all eat either nothing or they eat boats, wood, rocks, plastic also like 50 ppl per meg and they just keep going like swimming black holes those poor megalodons are shitting plastic boats with steel inside for years or die because they cant shit it out its movie monster logic of ppl who cant write for shit same here these dinos just fight cuz they are randomly fighting if you have seen the jurassic world games, the dinos there will also just ruthlessly kill each other all day long no logic carnivore sees ANYTHING with a pulse its nom nom time exept they dont eat the kill
also, the first three installments had suspense. just remember the part of the first movie where they had to leave the bunker and turn on the power again. absolute perfection. even if most people didnt like the third movie - compared to this absolute NPC shitshow we just saw its a masterpiece.
Yah because the dinosaurs in the first three instalments (especially the first) actually felt like animals. They were grounded in some sense of reality. These ones feel like King Kong Vs Godzilla, or as you say, a marvel movie 🙄

*How to make this scene better.* Before the scene even starts, establish the Giganotosaurus as a threat throughout the movie, just like the Indominus Rex. Make it go rogue and start causing a riot at the Biosyn labs as the humans are unable to properly control it, that way the audience can understand that this thing is a monster. Hell, make it ambiguous whether or not it's a hybrid like the Spinosaurus in JP3. Both were able to take down T. Rex so it's plausible. Or even give it a personal reason for why it dislikes humans so much, maybe a numerous amount of painful testing/modifying made it pissed towards the scientists, so it gained a vendetta for humans. Also, get rid of the locusts, we don't need them. If we're gonna have large arthropods, can they at least be real ones like Meganeura or Arthropleura? Once the 3rd act hits (make it sunset and/or sunrise, we can't see anything at night) and the entire cast encounters the Giga once again, it's absolute chaos. All the dinosaurs are running wild, *all of them.* So the main characters have to deal with not only escaping the Giga, but also all the other havoc from the other dinosaurs. If the Giga does have a reason as to why it dislikes humans, it would make more sense why it would be focusing its attack on them and not the other dinosaurs around it. And then, all the little dinosaurs begin to scramble away, the Giga loses its focus on the humans, and stares into the distance. All that can be heard are footsteps, deep ones. The ripples in the water do not lie, and that's when she shows up, Rexy, in all her Tyrannical glory. Sure you can keep the fountain logo thing I thought it was cool, as cheesy as it was. The fight ensues, and let the 2 fight *ALONE.* No assistance on Rexy's part, just let her win a fight solo again for once! It could also be retribution of sorts, since the Giga killed Rexy 65 million years ago. And because Rexy has been around longer than the Giga, she would logically have more experience in fighting. Let the fight last a while, let both Rexy and the Giga take serious damage, actually show the mighty and powerful bone-crushing jaws that the T. Rex possessed, just a good 1 on 1 dinosaur brawl. But in the end, Rexy just barely becomes victorious, one more message to the Animal Kingdom that she is the true King of the Lizards. Whether or not you want Rexy to die from her injuries here is up to you. I personally think her dying from the wounds would have a greater impact, especially since the whole cast would be there in her final moments. She could let one last roar and collapse from her injuries, gazing at the humans who've seen her entire adventure throughout her lifetime from her birth, to Jurassic Park, to Jurassic World, and finally the human civilization, as she closes her eyes and she takes one final breath. "Goodbye..." *tl:dr* Make the Giga threatening throughout the movie, get rid of the locusts, let all the dinosaurs running rampant across the lab, have the Giga and Rexy fight alone, Rexy wins and potentially dies from the injuries, surrounded by those who saw her entire life through.
What makes this scene so shallow and unearned is the sheer amount of disconnect. These beasts had no business being here together. The giga wasn't even bred to be evil. It wasn't even wrecking the preserve. Rexy wasn't shown to be a loose cannon breaking out of paddocks. And theri has no reason to leave its territory. There was nothing there to force it out of territory. They just wanted to evoke the old dino movies of pulp 70/80s cheese. I get it, I enjoyed the movie for that very reason. But this could have been done better.
All the dinosaurs in the valley were led here via implants in their brains to try and save them from the locust fire. But there were never measures to avoid violence amongst them. This isn't about evil. This is about territory and space.
Theri just seems like a better dino than plain ol rexy ngl Like at this point, they're just milking rexy for a whole lotta fight scenes Same thing applies for Blue

This movie is shit. Trevorrow killed dinosaurs. He killed the franchise.

And Rex has more powerful bite and stronger neck, the first bite of rex should be enough to do the Job.
Like Alan says in the first film: "You are alive, when they begin to eat you."
Furthermore, this comes off like a territorial spat, not HUNTING.
One question then how did the theri protect itself?

Now I’m disappointed as hell with them making the locust plot and not expanding of the idea of what their title really means, Jurassic World, meaning dinos everywhere but nooo make the 75% of the movie about bugs, forget about the Spino, and put in another team up in the end of the movie, sloppy writing.
I hope the next jurassic world movie doesn't fucking lie about its premise like this one did.
3:03 if dinosaurs could talk he would deffo be saying “oh is that how it is you jumping me now, both y’all a bunch of b*tches” 😂
Rexy just wants to live in peace... and all these dinos keep encroaching onto her territory
The crazy part is that a new study that just came out recently says that the t-Rex had the intelligence of a chimp and could have been capable of culture .
So I could better see him utilizing tag team tactics like this now more so then before .
@@angelbrother1238 that was disproven, also rexy is confirmed to be a female

This was genuinely the first Jurassic movie i ever saw that actually bored me so much i wanted to walk out of the theater. I only stayed because my brother loves the movies and i always watch them with him.
Me too. I am a die hard JP fan and have seen all the JP movies on cinema. But I almost walked out of the cinema after 20 minuter watching this horrible movie…
You're a good sibling.
I saw this on Max or Amazon and I literally stopped watching after an hour. This is actually the first time I see this end fight. Looks like I didnt miss much.
It’s honestly like they got a 5 year old to write the fight scene. “AND THEN HE STABS HIM WITH HIS SWORD HANDZ!!!”
What did we learn?
Shoot a flare and a therizinosaurus appears!
Jurassic Park Franchise has fallen almost as far as America has fallen from its origins. Impressive. 10/10.
Pov: You're playing The Isle and you're witnessing the fight between a newb rex, a veteran Chad murder turkey, and a toxic giga.
the isle is cancer
Looool thats great, i bet most have never played the isle. great game
@@Mutilatedteddybear Lol maybe in 2016, more like one of the worst games ever now.
wish that was still the case, now the game just sucks dick
I never realised that when the camera is zooming in on rexy‘s „dying eye“ during one of the lightning bolts she has feathers and the background changes to trees. I‘m guessing as a return to the original rexy that was killed by the giga in the opening
I saw it too
It's because Rexy remembered the Giga was who killed her before and she didn't want that to happen again.
Kinda like how mechagodzilla was taken over by the soul of king Ghidorah. The soul of the first t rex gave rexy some extra boost to finish off the giga. Even tho in reality those two dinosaurs would have never met
@@jimmyschneiter5850 yeah true but remember we're talking about jurassic world, and even the name of the movie is inacurate because dinosaurs like t-rex wouldn't have lived in the jurassic period, but the creaters of the movie taught jurassic world sounded better than cretaceus world
@@jonathanmendoza2906 indeed. No facts here lol
I saw the first one in the cinema and it remains to this day one of the best films I have ever seen. I had to walk out after 30 mins of this twaddle.
I turned off my torrent after 5 minutes lol. First one in cinema as a 6 year old was the best movie experience of my life.
3:02 that look from rexy is goofy asf😭
you know its not a jurassic movie without 2+ big dinosaurs squaring up.
*Jurassic Park 1, the lost world, and fallen kingdom would like to know you’re location*
Fear the Tickle Chicken
*T Rex and Giganotosaurs fighting with their teeth*
Therizinosaurus: 💅💅
I miss the old days when movies didn't have main character shields and characters felt they could die at any moment. And dinosaurs actually felt like a force of nature rather than how to train your pets. And this whole franchise was about horror rather than Dino's Vs Dino's
I would've been more blown away when the Mosa came in hot jumping 2000 miles on the giga and squashing him, that would've been nuts. 🤣
2:05 The Giga's face when he sees the Theri stand up
Giga: Ohhhhhhhhhh shi-
*How to make this scene better.*
Before the scene even starts, establish the Giganotosaurus as a threat throughout the movie, just like the Indominus Rex.
"Goodbye..."
*tl:dr* Make the Giga threatening throughout the movie, get rid of the locusts, let all the dinosaurs running rampant across the lab, have the Giga and Rexy fight alone, Rexy wins and potentially dies from the injuries, surrounded by those who saw her entire life through.
Mother of god, nerds really don't have a life.
You should’ve been the director of this film

Much better idea
@@kongzillatoho4558Blud thinks he did something.
3:26 Never underestimate Rexy
Damn right 🦖
Yeah but giganotosaurus wouldve won if there wasnt a therizinosaurus
Or Theri
I love how a carnivore and a herbivore are working together to defeat another carnivore
Imagine whoever came up with that in between shot of Rexi in prehistoric times at 2:49 would've set that as the standard for quality of the movie.
I didn't even notice that! That's an awesome shot.
You’ve got a good eye. If only we got more stuff like that
It never happened in the theatrical cut. This is clearly from the extended cut.
This was my favorite part of the film. I got to walk out after this.
The poor Giga... bullied simply for existing.
True
3:18 the therizinosaurus was like "lets go I got the kill"
2:05 this is unironically the only part in the movie that genuinely got me excited.
Theri just seems like a better dino than plain ol rexy ngl
Like at this point, they're just milking rexy for a whole lotta fight scenes
Same thing applies for Blue
theri feels like that one side boss that's not part of the main story but is incredibly powerful
Same. The whole time I was watching this movie, I was involved and mildly excited, but when the Theri pokes in... I felt like a young kid again, reading my dino books and watching dino DVD documentaries
I like how in the span on 3 movies Rexy needed two fake out deaths against a carnivore bigger than it before pushing her big bad enemy into a dinosaur better equipped to kill it.

I forgot this movie existed
It’s so forgettable ... I saw it first day and one time after that and that’s it ... I completely forgot about it... such a disappointment and awful movie... I can’t forget about... the LOCUST ! the dinosaur we all love and adore !
It is the worst in the series thats why
Geez what a shame
@@DarknessIsThePath nah that's fallen kingdom
@@bilbobaggins9451 That movie was bad, so I can't imagine this one.
i kinda hate how recently the only way for a t rex to win is through an unlikely team up. which is true but.. it just feels so unrealistic to have 2 random dinosaurs team up to kill a bigger dino and then go their separate ways respecting each other for the team up
Rex would win 99% of the time against a giga
Yeah the giga is bigger (only slightly) but a rex still has the stronger bite force
The gigas top jaw would be broken and shattered after the rex bites it
Not only that the neck bite should have killed it too
Lol
@@grub833 Also in fact the T-Rex is bigger than the Giga, ok the Giga maybe was taller and longer, but the T-Rex was heavier and more muscular, which in biology makes it bigger

Glad they gave the therizinosaurus more screen time
This one fight scene encapsulates the hatred for the fans the director and producers had, they had every chance to give fans what they wanted, every chance to make a decent movie. However, they actively chose to ignore everything and everyone and produce a 2 hour long middle finger. Good job.
This fight should've lasted longer and been more epic. This is the last movie of the franchise come on people. Yall can do better than this
It’s literally not the last movie though, it’s just taking the franchise in a new direction.
Fight was unreal an dumb to begin with.
Spino ending trexes life mid movie was better than these overdramatic endings.
