This was an epic scene to watch in the theaters as an 11 year old. I remember my Grandmom and I got chills seeing the T-Rex come out.
I was 12 when I went to see this movie. Still an incredible fight to this very day…

just a small detail I noticed in the fight.
When Rexy realized she wasn't able to fight the Indominus Rex in a straight on confrontation, she actually changed her tactic into using the environment to her advantage by using her body weight as momentum to smash it into buildings and the lagoon fence to deal a lot more damage.
Idk, kinda cool to know that she's still a smart girl from JP1.

Yeah it's a cool detail. It makes sense that an older Rexy can't overpower a hybrid so when she gets a second chance she plays it smart and smashes it into buildings and throws it around. It's what made the final fight here better than the other two World movies
It's also fair to point out that at the beginning, Rexy thought she was fighting for territory. After the I-rex almost killed her, Rexy realizes, "Oh, it's THAT kind of fight!" and then metaphorically cracked her knuckles for round 2.
Indominus: "You can't defeat me."
T-Rex: "I know, but he can."
Mosasaurus: pops out of the water.

The moment when Rexy is let loose is amazing. I love how in the entire history of the Park/World franchise, they were always trying to one-up her with increasingly more gigantic and ridiculous predators, and yet she remained pretty much the true crown jewel of the entire series, and it never stops being an experience seeing her on-screen.

Facts. I get CGI is expensive but cmon give us some more Rexy screen time... That beautiful monster is what we wanna see more of.
@@Salvationz I think that's the point. They want to intentionally keep Rexy in the background a bit to keep it a sacred experience for the viewers for when she does appear.
As the newer movies come out I am starting to not see Rexy as an antagonist like she was in the first film, but now more of an anti-hero. She has had PLENTY of chances at eliminating our protagonists (Like she could have EASILY killed Claire just as an example in this short scene) but has instead turned a blind eye each time. She seems to always intentionally targets the human villainous characters of the series.
But sadly Rexy is growing old. She was 5 at the release of the first Jurassic park movie. Now shes 30+ years old, so here life expectancy is running dim.
Not to mention the Rex from Crichton's novel and Spielberg's JP was a true nightmare. Too bad the movie sequels diminished just how fearsome it was.
I’ve always loved how - even though the Indominus is distracted with fighting the raptors - Owen still chooses to stay and take shots at her instead of taking the chance to escape with the others. Because this is the best chance they have so far of taking her down, and because there’s no way in hell he’s letting his animals fight this genetic monstrosity by themselves.

My problem with this movie is that all the dinosaurs acted like humans, if that makes sense. Jurassic park had them acting like dinosaurs, with no personal attachments or resentments towards people and whatnot, they just....were. They acted on instinct. The dinosaurs in jurassic world act like scaly action stars and it was just offputting.

The 'Lost World' leitmotif playing when Blue comes to the rescue is the perfect cherry on this brilliant cake of a sequence.
No matter how many times I rewatch this final battle, I always get chills and at the edge of my seat. I remember watching this movie for the first time in theaters, I started clapping once the battle was over and then the entire audience started clapping. It was an amazing moment.

The indominus rex was my favorite dinosaur antagonist in the trilogy and this was the best battle in my opinion.
It legit took 2 velociraptors + 1 intelligent velociraptor, human sniper support, the king of dinosaurs T-rex, and a surprise attack from a water dinosaur with giant jaws to take this thing down.
Truly an avengers level threat here.
The fact that the Indominus didn’t get its neck snapped by the bite force from the mosasaurus that could potentially be even stronger than T-rex shows how invincible this thing really was.
That water dinosaur is called Mosasaurus or Mosa in short word
Technically, It just took the mosasaurus to defeat Indominus Rex, but yeah, I can see it.

What I really love about this fight scene is that it shows how smart and experienced Rexy is...
Rexy overwhelms Indomie at ' jaw to jaw' fight, but then as soon as Indomie began to use her hands, she knocked down.
However, on the 2nd round, we can see that she changed her fighting style into pushing and throwing so that it's tricky for Indomie to use her hands.
Rexy knows exactly how to get into Indomie's weak range and pushes effectively 😮

Best dino fight or any monster fight scene. So iconic at the same time nostalgia with our favourite dinosaur, Rexy and the Velociraptor (Blue the star here). Mosa finishing Indo Rex was truly the icing to the already wonderful cake.

@@ag8793 Honestly I think you're reading into it a bit more deeply than intended. My guess is they actually just didn't really think about it so it doesn't entirely make sense. Probably they just wanted to give her more screen time- she is one of the main characters and all- since she hadn't done much for a few minutes. Owen wasn't doing nothing either, so I don't think it's to say she's 'better' than him; he was with the kids, but keeping them alive, not just... sitting there. Either way... I didn't write it, so I guess I don't know. Being someone who writes stories myself though, it is surprisingly easy to miss silly things that actually don't make sense sometimes, and it is good to give your main cast at least roughly equal screen time.

Is nobody else gonna talk about how when only delta and echo are fighting the indominus it's going terribly and delta turns into fried chicken but when blue comes, after losing the entire time Rexy starts doing amazing and when indominus are close to the Mosaurus feeding area it somehow notices that a giant creature is there while when 1000 people are there it doesn't decide to jump out 💀
After the fight blue went to check on echo, who did survive the fight, as the Indominus only gently picked her up and threw her to the side, blue had a much harder hit and managed to survive. Also after the fight, a raptor noise that isn’t blue can be heard, and then blue turns her head and walks to wear echo was thrown. Charlie got killed by a bomb and delta got killed by the fire, but echo and blue survived. But then what happened to echo in 2018, why wasn’t she in the movie? She wasn’t in the movie as she was poached before the eruption, and this is why blue was so weary of people when they went looking for her
I think one of my favorite details of this, we get the Jurassic Park theme when Rexy exits the Paddock, we get the Jurassic World theme when Rexy smashes the spino skeleton, and we get The Lost World theme when Blue returns. This movie isn't perfect but I love Giacchio's work with the music.

I know they're dinos but this is seriously one of the top monster/kaiju battles in movie history. I've watched this fight dozens of times. It's so well done and so satisfying to watch.
Blue and Rexy are the true heroes of this universe. Especially considering how many times they've both saved the day. One of my favorite Blue moments is when she basically reenacts the final battle from Jurassic Park except the Raptor's the good guy this time!!! See the scars on Rexy's neck at 6:15??? Those are the scars from her fight with The Big One in Jurassic Park.

This is just a thought of mine.
Indominus never once encountered any threats from on or in the water.
She do know that living things needed to breath considering she waited after the two siblings jump off the waterfall.
But she never encountered organism that could breath and live in that environment.
Even if she does, she probably encountered fishes and the likes, therefore she also concluded that nothing dangerous could came from under the water.
Which is why she really isn't that bothered having her back to the water when the Mosasaurus is there.
If she encountered let's say a living crocodile or even a shark prior to this fight. I could imagine she would immediately scram from where she stands. Since she recognizes large body of water might contain something inside.
I might be overanalyzing and overestimating the Indominus, but I could imagine she is capable of piecing those details together.

Indominus's story is actually pretty sad. It's easy for us to look at it as the villian, But it's basically frankenstein. It was just doing what it's instincts were telling it to do. A creature born with power and intelligence, but no purpose.

If you read the original novel, a lot of things that were cut from or only implied by the first movie by changes to the story get brought into the newer films; I-rex was raised in a way that calls back to the novel's raptors; they're explicitly *psychotic*. Raptors are supposed to be pack animals, social creatures by nature like humans, but they weren't *raised* by other raptors. I-rex was already mentally unstable because it's a genetic amalgam, which is why it killed it's sibling, but it was then raised in total isolation, fed via crane like the original raptors, without contact from any other living thing, even of its own kind.
Even the part where it kills for pleasure is from the book raptors; in the novel there's a whole swarm of them loose, and way more personel were still on the island. The book describes scenes of bloody slaughter; hallways strewn with body parts and elevators caked in blood. The book raptors killed and mutilated the park staff, but mostly didn't EAT them.
And absolutely no understanding of the world around it
