I am an elementary school teacher. What the Professional Athletes do with regards to celebration has been terribly hurtful towards the younger generations. A lot of kids quit young, because they can't handle emotionally handle the taunting.

@@Ether-pb5gb None of that stuff has anything to do with baseball. If kids can't handle taunting then they shouldn't play sports. Sports are are super competitive and opposing players are going to celebrate and showboat. You have to be mentally strong and be able to take it if you want to play. If kids can't handle opposing players showing emotion then sports are just not for them.

I'm a die hard Nats fan, and I think that Soto is being a jerk. Sanchez's salute to Martinez who broke up his no hitter is a good example of good sportsmanship that I expect in all sports. One of the reasons that I'm done with NFL football is all the showboating, taunting and other nonsense. Not to mention the thuggery. It's against the rules, but you still have to throw strikes.

Using a foreign substance for grip isn't the same as PED's. Pitcher still has to throw strikes. It doesn't suddenly make it easy. It's not like a corked bat where it gives a huge advantage in ball travel.
It's against the rules, but a lot of players in the game are fine with it.
