Both very close series and had the other team won in one of those 3 examples, history would’ve been much different. As a Padres fan, I’m really happy for the Nats, especially for Strasburg. I was rooting for the Brewers, but I've seen too much baseball to not know what was going to happen in the 8th. That HBP was big, the broken bat dunker, a walk - it was going off the rails before Soto stepped to the plate. Grisham's error in right just insured I was getting to bed on time. Either way, Milwaukee just wasn't in a good spot to make a deep October run. Better luck next year. Going forward, I'm hoping the Nationals play a good series against the Dodgers and sour their chance at winning another pennant.
