Great video, just ordered mine now, they really will solve the annoying problem of pulling all the covers off the grip to swap out dead batteries. Thanks
I got these today for my birthday 😊 I really recommend not using the pull tabs (not that I know currently) but I just take the pull tab off and use my fingers take the batteries out
Hey there Sir. To start, thank you for all the videos. They really do help. I know this video a year or so old, but I was wondering if you've had any trouble with the tracking, using this combination? I've heard mixed reviews about how the Kiwi controller strap on the back will cover some sensors and effect gameplay. Is this true? (Or have you experienced this?)
I found this weird product in Amazon and I want to show the world but Amazon links don't work so now I can show the world in a different way RUclips links
I don’t think they do work with the Anker. The rubber on the grips add extra bulk on the handles, so I don’t think they will slot into the dock, and definitely won’t charge them.
Hi, Kiwi isn't my brand (that would be cool if it was!), I am not an ambassador or linked with them in any way, they do show our logo on their website because I cover a lot of their products, but they mainly send out their new products for free and I get to freely say what I think about them (good or bad). I affiliate link to their products on Amazon or their own store, which I earn a small commission from them at no extra cost to you, this helps cover the time it takes to review, script, shoot and edit the video/article, but that's pretty much it. Hope this helps.
Okay so I need some help, I recently got these pro grips from kiwi and VR cover’s halo protector and they feel absolutely amazing!, only issue is that the kiwi grip blocks two senors where the triggers would be at, is there anyway to solve this issue?
Honestly, do not worry about that. There’s plenty of sensors to backup the two that maybe blocked, plus they are hardly used much, because the quest can’t see them when you hold them normally. So I wouldn’t worry about it. I’ve never had a problem.
It’s velcro so plenty of adjustment. Don’t have them too tight. They don’t need to be so tight, just enough to let go and not have them full down and off your hands.
After testing it, I found that the semi-transparent battery pulling films are 100% redundant. It's useless. Don't put them in the grips~ You could pull out the batteries with your finger nails with ease.
It is right :) It is one of the best in my opinion. The rest are a combination of other accessories that would cost more than these ones. It also depends on your preference on covering the sensor ring, or having more comfortable straps. As an all-in-one grip, this is hard to beat IMO. I am not a fan of thick plastic bulky grips, I prefer silicone, but with straps that aren't attached to the sensor ring.
@@OQPlay Thanks a lot for very useful insights Anthony. I guess the I'd go for Kiwi since the battery opening is a great feature. I hope the straps are comfortable and not easy to break. Stay safe
Thank you. For me, the straps feel great, the velcro gives you as much support as you need. They are PU leather, so they don’t warp or deform with lots of movement. The best bit is that I ‘hugs’ your hand in a way that doesn’t force how you grip the controller, which a lot of straps with sensor ring connections seem to do for me.
@@danny-leerichard8896 sorry english is not my first language and i am still learning and having a hard time understanding different accents, hope you understand. Stay safe
Do you mean the Anker charging dock? If so I do not know as I don't have one. Seeing as the controllers go into a cradle, it would be hard to tell without trying it out. The side strap looks like it might get in the way.
@@uykiimxz there is this vid where you gotta do slight modification but it'll work by jat something idr the rest, I probably just get the original grips and take them off to charge
I’ve heard from reviews on Amazon that where the grip secures over part of the halo unit it affects the tracking
It goes over two sensors, but honestly it doesn't affect performance. The Quest doesn't need all sensors to be trackable for them to work.
@@OQPlay thanks for the info I will buy them as I need something secure for my hands when playing
@@OQPlay Oof, I was about to buy them but I don't like that.

Could you possibly cut out holes where the covered sensors are at?
Definitely gonna pick these up. Also for anyone getting headaches in vr because of blue light, kiwi also sell blue light deflecting lenses.
They do. Hope you enjoy them when they arrive.
My large hands feels like im holding a kids toy with the controllers, i ordered the grips i hope it makes a difference.
grips arrived and i couldnt live without it now. so comfy now and no worries of having them fall or anything
Glad to hear you're enjoying them

I mainly ordered these due to my battery door being squeaky
This solved the issue!

These are so great and fit my hand perfectly!
They are awesome 🤩
was gonna buy the original one but this is SO much better thanks for the info :3
Buying it

been using this for a while but it started to get cut
Started to split? That’s not good 😞
Not sure if this has been asked, but how well does it work when docked in the Anker charging station?
I don’t think they do work with the Anker. The rubber on the grips add extra bulk on the handles, so I don’t think they will slot into the dock, and definitely won’t charge them.
Thank you so much , just ordered from amazon ..
Awesome! Enjoy 😊
Pull the tabs out then up. The battery comes right out! :)
Yup, that's the way to do it. Thanks for watching
Got a question, my default cover broke and is very loose, if i buy those KIWI ones will it fix my problem?
Yes as you don't use the default covers in these grips. Same with a lot of other charging grips out there or charging docks with controller covers
Just curious. It's always useful to know when hearing a review. Is KIWI your brand or are you an affiliate?

Haha I know its been 2 years since this came out but Im ordering some right now, hopefully they work well!
Good choice, you'll like them I am sure
@@OQPlay I got them around 2 weeks ago, these are amazing! Thanks for recommending them.
I don’t know what to do I tighten them to the max and they are still loose
Sounds like you’re doing something wrong. With Velcro you can gap them very tight. Unless you have paper thin fingers and hands.
my only complaint is that they break, i've had two of them break within 4 months, other than that they are fantastic grips
Oh that’s a shame
Is it removable?
You can remove them easily, yes.
do the controllers with the grips fit in the official Oculus carrying case?
These one’s do, yes

Awesome!! I hope you’re enjoying it.
How do these feel compared to the older version without the battery flap? Do the cracks of the battery flap bother you? Are the straps any different?
Straps are pretty much the same. Feels great! I don’t notice the flap at all. It’s a better version over the original for sure.
Can they stack into each other, to fit in a case?
These can yes. Not as easy without, but it’s possible.
I dont know why but with me they are either too tight or too loose and i just cant find the sweetspot, do you have any tips?

@@noniluke Not from stress, no. If you bite them in response to hunger, then it won't be a problem.
