This is a VERY thorough and well done review, I think I will order these (using your link of course) :) As a new Meta Quest 2 owner, PLEASE make more videos like this!
I have both this and previous Kiwi grips. The new grips are much more comfortable and sturdier. Perhaps I strapped them to tight but the previous grips straps started to rip. The new grips are definitely sturdier and since they loosen when you tighten them to much you can't rip them. Another thing is you can get them in different colors. Blue for the right controller, Red for the left controller.
There is the AMVR charging dock that I recently reviewed that is similar to the anker charger and comes with grip straps too that might be worth you checking out. ruclips.net/video/X6x6neXnnCA/видео.html
I just got these, and so far I'm actually not loving them. They seem to make my index finger line up with the grip button, instead of my middle finger, so it's a bit of a stretch now for me to put my index finger on the trigger. I also now find I have to stretch more to reach the Oculus and menu buttons with my thumb. The issue is the side strap pulls my hands away from the natural position the controllers were designed for.
They do add some size to the controllers, which for some people is a good thing. It does sound like your hands might be too small for these and so you'd be better off with a smaller grip cover. It would be worth you checking out Kiwi Designs smaller grip covers which I did a review of here ( ruclips.net/video/Kw6D3JjLdJA/видео.html ), or the AMVR ones which also have a low profile, and which I also did a review of too here ( ruclips.net/video/9lg4xg9cW2k/видео.html ). Hope that helps.
How is it that I am the only person, seemingly, that has actually found while the controllers feel great… They are absolutely killing my scores in games like beat saber/pistol whip/ brisk square…. Like I can’t even get close to my highest scores that were made without the grips. And do not seem to be able to change that A month later
these seem amazing. though the amazon link for canada seems to bring the user to a seller from turkey. they are asking 125 cad for them. better to buy direct from the kiwi. just a heads up
Amazon links are dependent on global location and stock levels so the links don't always resolve properly. I certainly wouldn't pay 125CAD for them! At least buying direct saves you 5% off too! 😊 You'll have to let me know what you think of them once you get them.
Hey, I was going to go to kiwis website to get ready for a purchase, (and give you the credit). The link is giving me an error though. Have an updated one? Or should I just go to pay Bezos?
Hi Adam, Links updated now (kiwi design switched their website from kiwidesign.shop to kiwidesign.com which broke the links). Again, thanks for the heads up. 👍
@@MyTechGearGaming thanks! Out of curiosity, which gives you the higher boon? I would assume direct from manufacturer, as I know the affiliate links can be pretty miniscule.
Ginger boon? Direct gives a higher commission. It’s not much ( typically 5% ) but is better than Amazon ( typically 1% for tech gear ). Most important for me though is to only recommend items I’d actually use rather than just chasing the highest commission.
@@MyTechGearGaming it was a typo, it should have said "higher boon" as in better payment to you. Good to know direct is better. I'm looking to upgrade my face mask part, and grips eventually. I'll get you that tiny percent.
No. You're just replacing the standard battery cover with the integrated cover that is built into these grip covers. It gives you easy access to your battery whilst giving you a more comfortable controller to hold. So it's a win win. In my opinion at least.
I don't have that case but looking at the case though I'd doubt it because of the way the controllers hang in the case. I can definitely recommend the bobovr c2 case though as they will definitely house them. I did a review of it which you can check out here... ruclips.net/video/Tij82e7VD1Q/видео.html
I would say not as the controllers need to hang down in that case and these grip covers make the controllers longer so probably wouldn't fit. I still stand by my previous recommendation.
no. but, I am releasing a video on Tuesday that will show you a case that will fit not only these but also the elite strap and the VR dumbbells, all in a single case, so keep an eye out for that! 😊

I watched quite a few reviews on these and this one is the best one thus far!
Thank you for creating such a high quality review :)
Good work
Thanks for thr compliment. Glad you enjoyed it! 🙂
Nice video and nice intro 👍really good, that thing looks cool
And keep up the good work
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it! 🙂
something like this what works with the official anker charger would be a god send.

These look cool but I think I would go with the shorter ones if I got the headset coz I tried it and I don't rlly have a problem with the controllers
Everyone's different, and good to have the option of buying the smaller ones too so that everyone can find the right size for them. 🙂
@@MyTechGearGaming yeah
I’ve used my grips for only like 3 months and the Velcro doesn’t stick anymore, was searching hoping to find a model without this cheap Velcro 😕
I've used these since I got them and they're still going good. Hope that helps.
Does the strap on the side ever get in the way, that is the only thing that makes me questionable
Not for me it doesn't, and it being a silicone strap means it forms around your hand well too.

Are there any cons to having to remove the battery cover for this grip?

I'd say no as they are quite big. They definitely fit in this case though which I've reviewed here... ruclips.net/video/Tij82e7VD1Q/видео.html

How is it for a 13 year old boys hands
Depends on how large his hands are. For most people it’s fine. I’ve also recently released a ‘best grip cover’ video that you might want to check out.
Anyone have any issues with tracking with these I would assume you wouldn’t. The trackers probably can even penetrate the rubber.
I didn't notice any issues myself whilst playing.
