I’ve learnt so much from you in the past few months since discovering your channel and I’m really enjoying Playing with my powders again, I’m always amazed at how pretty embossing makes everything. Another fab video Marion. I’m so grateful to you for taking the time to explain all about WOW embossing powders and how they work, and I now know what to look for when buying some xx
What a great informative video! Great explanation and demonstration of the uses and opacities of the embossing powders. I really found it useful thank you x
Thanks so much, Marion, for explaining about embossing powders. I'm still a beginner and have always found them a bit intimidating. Willtry some of your methods.
Another wonderful video Marion! I love how ‘real’ you are in your videos-it really makes me feel I can have a go and not be afraid to mess it up! Your personality really shines through in all your videos and that makes them a joy to watch 😁
Hi Shirley, hope you had a lovely birthday !!! OM stands for Opaque Marbling, I will explain it in another video as its something that happens when you use it with WOW Melt It. xxx
I’m watching this for the first time and am floored by the beautiful results on those coasters!!! I wish I would’ve seen this in time to make for Christmas gifts 🎁 Now I can practice and maybe I’ll perfect it by next year. Thanks for all your wonderful help as I’ve only been card, making for nine months. Looking at my supplies you think it was 20 years 😂
Hi Marion! Thank you for such an informative video. I like to know as much as I can about everything and there isn’t anyone that’s done it until now with this! Thank you,
Hi Marion, I only just came across your channel today. This is only the 2nd of your videos that I have watched. I love what you do! This video was so instructional...thank you! 🙂
You are absolutely adorable! 💖 Learned so much, and loved the bit about why you bought the tape! A good personality and humor go a long way in making learning easier, and you have both in spades!!!
Omg , I absolutely love your accent!! Thank you for sharing this very useful information and techniques with us. I am still learning here in NC ( U.S.) I so Appreciate all of your teachings that you are sharing. 🙂
Enjoyed watching today, lots of info on embossing powders, thank you. The video was fine, I didn't realise you had so many problems with it, I'd never have known! Found you when I was watching HTCN & you were a guest in the studio, love your work. x
I love, love, love your videos, you are brilliant. Thank you so much for showing us different methods etc, I love it all. I am new to embossing, and you've taught me such a lot, in the last few days since I found you on here. I really love the colours you chose - blues and turquoise are my favourite colours, especially teal. Do you ever use thick, flocking powder? I bought some but am useless at using it, and making it work!!! I love the glass coasters, I'd have never thought of doing that - superb idea for gifts. I must get down to Pound land ASAP!!! Take care, bbfn, Val xx
Thanks so much Val, so glad you’re enjoying the videos. I’ve used the WOW flock and tend to mix it in with the powder for a more textured look. Hope you get some coasters !! 😍😍😍
Thank you Susan, in fairness I’ve been playing with embossing powder for over 40 years now and I love to experiment, so I just try things and if they work great and if they don’t then I start again 😂😂🥰🥰🥰
Oh Marion! I just found a snow sequin mix that’s all whites and red! I’m never a red n green Christmas girl. Always pins Turquoise, lime, etc, but this mix is so beautiful! I am going to see if just maybe I could get a slight discount done I’ll need 12-25 of these! But how brsutiful that could be. I had the perfect mix picked out in my cart but it would have cost $30 USD! So I just put one on my cart to see it and they’re all gone. This is Christmas in July. So it will be going fast! I must watch my expense because I make so many and still afraid they’d get crushed in mail. But I’d like to make a few maybe. Idk. I spent hours on the wow site and I just don’t know what to get since I don’t know how I would use them and then get so tired and frustrated I just close and sign off. It’s too hard to tell what they’ll look like melted. And as I said idk what all I can do with them yet. So I’ll r waiting for the backgrounds one and 2 or 3. Sending crafty hugs!
That sounds lovely Denise ❤️❤️ re the WOW site, don’t forget if it’s the Christmas sparkle card you’re doing I only used Sparkles (pure glitters from WOW) you don’t heat set these, you only hear set the embossing powders. I hope that helps ♥️♥️
@@marionemberson yes dear I do remember the Christmas card is sparkles. The sequin mix that sold out would have been perfect with the sparkles you used! But I just couldn’t spend $30 on sequins and then still need to buy all the powders and then worried about how they will do in the post. I’m worried about the sequins because they are stacked up a little. The sequin mix I found now is white and red with white snowflakes. I’m sure it would be beautiful, but it’s a lot of money for sequins and I’m sure sparkles for that many cards. But I still looked on wows site and found a transparent red glitter that I think would look great with maybe the white blaze and idk what else. It’d be beautiful but too costly for 40. I’m dad because I just knew that’s what I wanted to do , I love those! But I’m disabled. Lost my leg in a car accident at 45 so I’m on social security disability. So idk if I can afford those.
@@dizzinese I’m so sorry to hear that Denise 😢😢 so how about simplifying it, mask of a strip, do the glitter lines, pull off the masking tape and stamp a festive sentiment in the space, that way you keep it flat, so it doesn’t cost as much in postage and you don’t have to worry about the sequins getting damaged in the post. ❤️❤️❤️
@@marionemberson great idea! And I can add a few beautiful glass rhinestones here and there or better yet., make the straight bottom line after taking mask off a thin line of glue and add seed beads! I’ll come up with something. Your idea is magnificent. Thank you
Hi Marion loved your video I'm very new to crafting and would love to start making cards embossing etc etc. Wheres the best place to buy the embossing powders please x

I haven't a clue what I need to buy or where to buy it lol. I have got white card and envelopes quite a good few clear stamps and blocks. Wouldn't mind one of those things you have but I can't afford to pay that amount right now. Can you recommend one that's any good at a reasonable price. Sorry for all the questions x
@@karenmclaughlan9128 that’s ok, I’m happy to answer what I can… I haven’t personally used this one but it looks incredibly similar to the MISTI and about a quarter of the price 🫣 amzn.to/3bUD57R I’m not going to lie, I adore the MISTI but I totally agree it is expensive. As for powders go with your heart, just choose some colours you love, if you love them you’ll use them and I really recommend the wow embossing ink pad, that’s also linked in the video description, if you have coloured inks, get a clear and or clear sparkle embossing powder. Don’t over do it or you’ll blow your mind with choices and then won’t use half of it. I hope that helps… I have to get ready for work now, but if you have any other questions, just put them here and I’ll get back to you when I can xxx
Hi Jess, although the WOW powders are anti static, they don’t like moisture, be that oil or sweat from your fingers, so yes the talc absorbs the moisture. I hope that helps xxx
