Hi Smokin Joe. Thank you for posting this video on RUclips. It is incredible to look at a classic Cobra 29 CB radio. It is such a cool radio to look at and here in operation.....!
Thx radio man I love your videos. thx for producing them. I am considering sending my 29 to you for a tune up.
Thanks one of my radios is that cobra 29 nice upgrade, thanks
Wow, 40 PEP amazing. How do you do it? Must be a magic wand!! ..like out of a Harry Potter scene. Is that the max power that one could expect from a single final 29?
I have a cobra 29 ltd classic doing 40 watts with a 2078
dam thats cooking
Love the three power supplies I got from you.still working great... thanks
George Barton ahh yes good to hear!
can I drop one of these into a 142gtl? it was stock, are these drop in? I put a eleflow in my other 142, and it works fine just wondering if the hg's would be alright without all sorts of equipment
I have a Cobra 29LTD Chrome. When the S/RF, SWR, CAL switch is down on CAL to calibrate the antenna, there shouldn’t be ANY static interference right? That is, without keying the mike? When I key the mike to calibrate the antenna, the SWR meter seems to be working and the red antenna warning light doesn’t light up. This Cobra has ALOT of static interference no matter what setting it is on, even without my car running.
if you add variable pwr n turn it down what happens on the big end
How many bird average watts does it swing to???
Keep up the good work 440 cb shop said that
I’m in Tx and ur service
Your sticker looks nice, waveforms ..ehh...Ill pass on the Hg-1969 ....did you ever get the AM regulator working like you said in the other video? Been waiting for that....There was some vid's of someone doing that work but gone now, update?
Thanks for your reply............
George Barton your welcome. Thank you for watching! If I can ever help let me know
442built is the real deal.
Great!
I really love the 1969 finals. Were to get them at is not easy or should I say expensive. Do you have to do mods to make it work or just switch it out?
What I was wondering if there was other components that had to be changed or just the final?
HEY JOE I HAVE A COBRA 29 ltd lt power up but does not TRANSMIT or receive can you help me
He passed away.
Need a phone for your shop
What's the avg watts???????
+George Barton the standard bird 43 measures carrier power not "avg" watts . Carrier power means power measured without the sidebands present. Basically as it implies your carrier or dead key. Am is properly measured in PEP. All these guys showing big "avg watt" swing ate using hacked up splatter box radios.
I have 3 radios 2 general lee’s hp -40 and a galaxy 98 vhp they are work radios Use them in my semi and 2 in my 2 pilot cars they are not to clear but strong I was wondering if you could look at them and do any improvements you feel needs to be done. Thanks
by the way...your phone number dont work
