that ain't impossible you just have to think outside the Box

i was expecting some type of trick to get sphere into cube. Oh, nope! Legit turned it inside, lol wow!
Haha, that's right no cheating here!
Same lol
Normally, people will soak the cube and then press the sphere in while the wood is flexible, but where's the fun in doing things the easy way? :P

Hardwork is never appreciated but this needs appreciation!!!!!! Great!!!!!!!! A work of 6 hours and a video of just 9 minutes.. we can't imagine how much work, energy, and concentration is needed!!!!! Great job!👍❤️
Awesome job.. it's hard enough getting a decent finish on a normal sphere nevermind one with a box around it 🤘
Thank you Andy! I'm glad you like it, it was tough trying not to scratch the resin with the wooden cube but it ended up looking good 😁
Oh Andy
I saw some of your work, like the wedding wine glass. I liked it.
What was that blue material
That bald person will not reveal
this is genuinely the coolest thing I have seen someone make out of resin and a tree
This is the most underrated Chanel on RUclips
Cheers, I hope more people find me!
@@JamesGarwood we all do,bud
But but but... He got an almost perfect sphere BEFORE sanding it. These are insane skills.
Beautiful. I am very impressed
Thank you so much! I was thinking of you when I was gluing the perspex on the outside, I was going to put a "hi jedrek29t!" On my bench top but I was so focused on not screwing it up I completely forgot! 😖
Hi jedrek29t😍

I saw this done in metal. It was a bit different, they start with a solid cube. This always impressed the hell out of me. I've been waiting to see a wood turner do it. Great job.
As a new wood Turner I followed your way and I'll pleased to say it worked perfectly

A beautiful wood and well seasoned block. Very clever way of making and polishing sphere.
Your next challenge: a cube inside a sphere !
It’s people like you who inspire the heck out of me. All it took was creativity and imagination and that’s what I admire of your work. You are gaining a subscriber my friend keep up the amazing work.👍

Salute to ur magical hands!! It’s so interesting watching the whole process!!!
Really intriguing project! Out of all my resin guys I watch, I've never seen this done. Awesome job!!
Thank you very much! I try to be different and make fun things no one has seen before 😁👍🏻
Remarkable is the only word I can describe what you just did. Well done
That's great, James. I haven't seen one of your videos for a while and you came through in awesome fashion. Thanks. Take care. Bill
Cheers Bill, it's a lot easier now to get stuff done in the new workshop so I should be able to get a few more out this year now 😁
People would not have a clue that's how it's made. Very cool!

I could watch this all day.
I like how you didn't beg for us to sub just asked nicely once
I watch several creative wood turning craftsmen on RUclips, but I get annoyed with so many of them trying to be goofy, stupid hokey jokes, unbearable synth music, unimaginative projects, wacky ideas that turn our horrible, or just copying each other's ideas.. then I found your channel. Brilliant concepts without the goofy banter and noise music. Love it. Thank you
I just found James and fully appreciate this style of turning video, I dislike all the things you mentioned as well.... Andy Phillips and Matt Jordan are also great!
And just when I thought I had seen everything 😲
Simply amazing 😎
Thank you very much 😁
It looks very nice while cutting an shaping sphere and very much edible after finishing...nice job
Thank you, it doesn't taste as good as it looks... so I'm told 😅
I actually subscribed after seeing the subscribe thingy on the container.

The idea alone is more admirable than the product itself. You have a talent way more than those 499 thumbs ⬇️! Thank for sharing your ideas!
That needs some extra ordinary abrasive skills
Haha, yes it did! 😂
That is madness your patience is through the roof
Thank you, I do like the challenge and I am a patient kind of guy!
This next test involves discouragement redirection cubes. I just finished building them after you had your, well, episode. So now we’ll both get to see how they work. There should be one in the corner.
it actually looked like one of those cubes when he was making the sphere inside.

This is absolutely stunning!! Wonderful job :D

When this guy left his home, he told his father, "you're the man of the house now".
Lmao
Came for the pretty blue resin sphere, stayed for the really laidback video, subbed for the awesome creator! :D
Good job. Awesome video!
Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed it 😊
You sir are a very clever man ! That was a real joy to whatch this.
Simplesmente fantastico! A peça ficou extremamente perfeita e linda. Está a venda??
EXCELLENT VIDEO!!! EXCELLENT WORKMANSHIP!!!!
In ancient temples of India u can see this work on stones.....
There's no way you just did that 😳 that's so cool man.
Hmm, sell it as a puzzle, the goal is to disassemble without breaking the ball or the shell 😂
That would be unsolvable...
Its solvable

Amazing. Looks simple but you need the idea first n the perfection to execute it. Hats off
8:24 Why does the pot of Yorkshire grit say “lemom”? Shouldn’t that be “lemon”?
They ran out of lemons?
Or they ran out of dictionaries?
p.s. sharp eye!
This is come ship-in-a-bottle-type stuff here. Great work!
I'm watching a yew cube on RUclips
i love seeing such videos ....the art to make and create something by hand is amazing to watch
Well now I feel like an idiot for always wondering how these things were made, it seems obvious now. XD
It's easy when you know how! A bit like a magician revealing their magic tricks!
@@JamesGarwood well .. its easy when you have all that great equipment and talent
Mystery solved! Now I know how this is made. Impressive!

Haha, well done Caleb! 🥳
Incredible !! Mesmerising project, thanks for sharing your wonderful talent 😊
Put a pair of magnets and the ball could float.
Good idea
My dad loves this channel and always sends me videos
Tell your dad I appreciate him sharing and watching my videos 😁
That’s just toying with peoples brains 😂
OMG, I seriously thought that you would turn the block first, then wet the wood so you could pull the thin sides apart to allow a marble or ball in, then once it dries and returns to normal shape it would be stuck in there. Really awesome, thanks for the vid.
Just making the cube to start with is very nice work! The rest is just magic 🎉
That was amazing to watch!
You aren't a turner, you are a magician!
That are looking so good. Well done!
Thanks so much!
Wow! You are very talented. It was a joy to watch you work.
That is showing some incredible talent there. If I had seen an item like this in a store, i would have sworn the wooden cube must have been cut open and then glued back after inserting the resin ball. Incredible talent. Thanks for sharing.
Next time put a little wooden cube in the resin ;)
Amazing work!
Wow great skills, love the result, it helps to have the right tools and yes hr of work and experience.
One mistake can just destroy the whole hardwork😅😅
Awesome 🤗🤗🤗🤗
This guy deserves 1 million subscribers for this. Awesome work man😀
6:25 ohh dammnn what a sneaky bastard 💥....Well. ... Great idea👌😂. I would never have thought of it
Awesome dear it was hard but with a good experience u done this👍👍👍
No BS and no tricks. Thumbs up.
No trick only Hardwork. Awesome. Good
Ugh! I want one!! lol I'd never put it down! ♥ Beautiful!
Ya learn something new everyday. Thanks for sharing!!!
10 hours.
It looks like it can be done in 2 hours tops from the video. Insane the amount of dedication required just for this apparently simple, but beautiful piece.
Why are there 915 people giving this a thumbs down. There are some idiots out there. It is brilliant, I must have a go. 👏👍
Magnifique! La même en blanc, la même en rouge et ça ferait mon drapeau! Sérieusement très très joli ! Bravo!
Thought you were gonna make the ball outside of the box, put the wood in hot water and squeeze the ball in, i was pleasantly surprised. Nice work.
Beautiful!
Back in the 80's, at George Brown College, I took a Cad/Cam course and wrote a program for a NC machine to cut a 2 inch sphere inside a 2 inch cube.
Worked perfect, until my ball end mill broke!
And it was the only one the school had!
Oops! I hope you got it finished and still have it somewhere?
@@JamesGarwood
Yes I still have it!
It is worth more to me than my degree LOL!
Thats great, if you still have it and are on Instagram tag me in it, I would love to see it
@@JamesGarwood Yes James, I still have it, but I am not on Instagram, sorry!
Great job on using the resin for the sphere. Have seen wood in wood, but this is much better looking with the contrast. Have been wanting to try this, the speciality tool is holding me back. Would be great if you would just post a PDF attachment of the tool profile that was used to grind one. Great Job all in all.
Cara, você é um gênio! Quem pegar um desses ja más vai saber como colocou a bola azul dentro do cubo. Parabéns pelo trabalho.
woooooooow totally unexpected and beautiful works!!! great job!!
Amazing! Maybe People in the future will study it as amazing ancient technology

Excellent idea. Exelent procedures. Perfect execution. Keep it up.
and then some day a guy made a master piece from raw wood .....excellent work worth watching every second.
Congrats on the video itself but at the end it looks like the reflector cube. It looks nice.
