I feel very fortunate to have received this box of off cut Maple scraps from Mike at (Thanks Mike!) He also sent me some off cuts of black walnut and redwood. I wanted to try and make something interesting with the Maple and this was what I came up with. This was probably the most fun I’ve had so far with a turning project. I am very pleased with the way this piece turned out. The translucent blue just goes perfect with the maple. Thank you very much for watching, I hope you have a great day! Holy moly. This one dragged me into a new dimension and spit me out a more relaxed human. Great project mate. Thanks for letting me lose in your videos
The planning and prep work you put into your pieces is amazing. This is a beautiful work of art. The maple just floats there when the light hits it correctly. Just amazing. Great job!
Stunning piece my friend. Maybe your best yet. Really appreciate your attention to detail, your fine finishing. The top ring just seems to float above the piece. You are truly talented. All the best , sir.
I always enjoy watching you taking us through your projects and especially the end results. There's always at least one detail that makes them stand out, and on this one, for me, it's that step in the neck. Superb.
Wow now I have the perfect place for this to stand in my newly decorated front room - absolutely gorgeous piece of work 💙💙💙it! Good to seeing a new video from you too! 😃
As expected, another stunning piece!! Your projects all turn out gorgeous but one of my favorite parts of the videos is how clean and tidy your shop and tools always are, it makes the viewing that much better!!
This turned out beautiful! Really like the floating top effect. Thank you for taking time to build, film, edit and post this video. Liked and subscribed
It's really beautiful. I love the shape and the thin rim in the blue resin. Not many turners do these types of shapes, especially neck detail, but it is lovely. Thanks for making and sharing this outstanding piece.
Awesome piece of wood turning!!! I liked and subscribed to your channel because I love watching people like you making something amazing out of wood ❣️❣️❣️😊🇺🇸🇨🇱
That is a thing of beauty. I love the way the rim appears to be floating, excellent. Interested in the wall panels around the lathe. What are they? Thanks.
Thanks! They are acoustic panels I picked up on amazon. The bright white wall made filming difficult so I put these up. I’m liking the way they look in the videos so far. Thanks for noticing. Hope you have a great day. Scott
That's awesome. Could you do a video n show how you find what angles to make all your segments or do you just divide the number of segments by 360 or 180 since there's 2 angles? Thanks
Flat tool rests from simple woodturning tools. This was the absolute maximum depth I can go with the tools I currently have. They also have some longer scrapers available, but I have not gotten them yet. Affiliate link is in the video description if you want to check them out. Thanks for watching. Hope you have a great day! Scott
I wanna get into wood working/turning SO BAD, but dear lord - lathes are EXPENSIVE and that BEFORE you buy any of the carving tools. 😢 Any tips on finding anything secondhand?
It can be pretty expensive if you try and get it all at once. Definitely recommend trying to find a used lathe. Estate sales can be a great place to find a good one cheap. Just have to be patient. Thanks for watching. Hope you have a wonderful day. Scott
I don't know that anyone cares but if you were interested in a saw blade sharpener at a reasonable price I got a VEVOR Circular Saw Blade Sharpener from the Jungle store for $200. I use 14" metal cutting blades for $140 each and it does a good job. Reading the reviews it might require common sense to operate effectively. That's a super power few possess.

I suffer with anxiety and this helps soooo much!❤
From scrap to stunning... needs to be where the light can fall through it!
The planning and prep work you put into your pieces is amazing. This is a beautiful work of art. The maple just floats there when the light hits it correctly. Just amazing. Great job!
Very nice! It looked good when it was spinning, too, and appeared to just have stripes.
Turned out more beautiful than I thought it would be! Great job!
It's very relaxing to watch someone working who seems to be totally relaxed.

Such a stunning piece! But what I loved most was the great editing and showing the entire process so others can be inspired to try it. Thank you 👍
The music was good too!
I bet the process of cutting and gluing took more time than the turning, such patience! Very classy, thank you for sharing!👏👏👏

I'm wondering how this vase will look in the dark with LED light inside, not too bright or details will be lost.
🎉😊🎉
what is the platform rest you use to get deeper in the bowl?

Great job ! 👍 Not cheap to buy..🤷🏼♂️
What are you using for those tube molds?
They are concrete footings tubes sold at hardware stores.
