Woodturning- Shape of my heart; inside out turning
HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 13 фев 2021
- In this video, I made four shapes-spade, club, diamond and heart by split turning skill.
While you are watching this card suits ornament making video, you will be able to understand how to make stick holders for easy and safe inside out turning.
Hope you guys enjoy this video and wish you can widen your thoughts about woodturning.
Notice.
This video is not a tutorial but entertainment.
When using any kind of tools and machinery, I strongly recommend you always have to refer precisely to the manufacturers' guidelines & safety manual.

We are not good at playing music. Please turn your volume down if you are a big fan of Sting's. :)
I was a wood turner for nearly a decade. Split turning is one of the more useful things I learned. It works even then making 12 foot long 10 inch wide columns. However I never thought to split them and put them together with the negative space being part of the design.
That is some serious creative stuff right there. BRAVO.
Thank you for your comment, John. I really respect your experience about that humongous column piece turning!
@@woodboykr it’s a super cool technique. One of the things we used to do all the time with split turning was glue them up so they were hollow inside. To cover lally colums. Turned round on the outside but square inside. Split turning is rare. Not everyone knows about it.
Believe it or not, I am convinced that this extra ingenuity is a product of Chinese Science Socialism. Koreans are so smart because they are able to draw knowledge from the Western Science, as well as from the Asian Science. The Asia also has a lot of practical experience in addition to having the largest knowledge base in the world. Look at Kia. The other day I offended some Infinity fan by saying that it looked like a Kia. They got upset but I thought it was true.
Lots of clever preparation to make finish easier, like the sheets of paper between the planks. - A minor piece of advice: I’m an artist who frequently designs playing cards. I always make diamonds a little taller than the other suits. If a diamond is the same height as a club or spade, then the diamond looks a little small in comparison.
I recognized the diamond had to be larger like you commented. Thanks for your advice!
Oh wow! I want them.
I am NOT by any means a wood worker. But I truly enjoyed watching an expert at work and the creativity behind it. Absolutely a great job and two thumbs up !!!
Thanks a lot sir!
Very clever work, well done.
Most of the time when I watch turning videos I think "I could learn to do that, but it's more fun to just watch". This one beat me. I can't imagine negitve space like that. Thank you, I really enjoyed watching.
Thanks Daniel! I'm just taking more inside out turning videos. Hope you will enjoy my next works too!
I've never seen anything like that in my life! Fantastic. You sir, are incredibly talented.
I like. Super. Thanks
Super Super, gefällt mir sehr
This is one of the coolest things I've ever seen. I never even imagined turning negative space, never mind actually seeing someone do it like this. So clever. Also maybe it's just me but they're begging to be filled with resin lol
lol. I'm just making another split turning piece which is filled up with epoxy. :)
@@woodboykr awesome, can’t wait to see it!
For me it's the empty space that makes it brilliant, filling it with resin would betray that.
Brilliant so intelligent and wow wow
I am imagining, how nice it will be the resin shape made from the hollow part of these cubes...
Tbh that was what I was thinking when I saw the thumbnail. But I'm not disappointed at all. This was amazing
A pleasure to watch. I like the - glueing with paper tip! !! !!!
Nice work, thanks for sharing. Hope you and your family had a good weekend. Full View and Like always clover ☘️ ♠️♦️❤️
Thanks for your watching, Allen!
Fenomenaleeeeee👌👍🤙🤩
Thank you Enrico!

That's awesome, I've never seen anything like this before!
Please fill them with resin! A transparent red and a transparent blue would look really cool, especially with light shining through.
Someday I will try to fill up the hollowed space with epoxy resin. Thanks for your suggestion!
Beautiful Amazing Brother
Speechless and even though I watched the entire thing I'm still scratching my head in amazement lol stunning and BRILLIANT!
Wow , I can not believe this
it is fantastic
you are 🌟🌟THE BOSS🌟🌟
The singing was... wonderful. Keep up the great wood turning ; )
Very cool
Thank you!
@@woodboykr are youbon insta or facbook man?
Unfortunately I'm not.
You are a genius!
Thanks!
Really clever, I love it! "Your" method is much better, reusable, "cleaner" and safer, no possible explosive failures. Brilliant
Thanks Mike!
Wonderfull. Thanks for sharing the video.
Amazing creativity. Love it 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
Thanks J'Lyssa!
기가 막힙니다~~^^

감사합니다. ㅎㅎㅎ
Wow, so simplistic, yet ingenious as well. I was especially amazed by the club. Great work!
Thanks Brian! To be honest, club was the hardest to make it.
Muy buen trabajo..excelente!!!👍
Мастер👍👏👏👏👏
Very impressed sir..a lot of talent went into those and came out with amazing pieces of art..🔥
Its an art woooowwww ... you are amazing.. you are not just a woodboy .... you are an artist 👏👏👏👏👏
Wow excellent projects. But even better is the technic on making inside out hearts. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks Edward!
I mean, it is a better way to do it if you're doing it often, but a jig made with CA glue and barely a tip of a fastener to hold it together struck me as far more likely to blow apart at speed than the tried and true method. Nothing wrong with the idea of the jig, but I wouldn't trust the way it was made.
I've always enjoyed that song. Your skill is very impressive, thanks for the end cap tip, that's very useful.
Thanks William! :)
Plus, I know I messed up the good song. So sorry. :(
@@woodboykr You did pretty good. You hit the notes.
i like that with the end caps to hold in place. thank you :)
Thanks a lot! Aaron~

Yeah, that's why I'm living as a woodworker. ;)
@@woodboykr I like hearing the sounds your tools are making. I could do without your choice in music--music choice is so personal. when I hear how your tools sound I have an idea what mine shouild sound like if I am doing things right. Keep the videos coming!

Nice work, can't help wondering what they would look like filled with resin and an LED inserted from the end to make them into lamps.
Liked the technique 1st time I have seen this done. Could adapt this to CNC routing
Brilliant 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
