Even at the height of their popularity (2014-16), when asked what type of group they want to be remembered as, they would not want to be a top girl group ( which they were), but a long lasting group like you see a lot in 1st /2nd boy groups. From bomb threats/ death threats, to fake bullying scandals, these girls persevered.

That song you listened which is in 2018 I'm so sick was the mark of the new Apink. You may have watch some of them from dramas or web series because each member has been able to act in dramas and 2 of them already had their movie as well. The only remaining 2nd gen active group that transcends with the new generations and always slays any concept. they usually comeback once a year but they will always slay
2nd gen girl groups are the best. So many groups but all with their own concepts and styles. And unlike 3rd and 4th gen groups, they freely interacted, collabed and supported each other. Even the fandoms supported each other generally with only 'fun wars' and no toxic fan wars like we have now.
Son Naeun is no longer a member of Apink. She left Apink earlier this year to concentrate on her acting career. Pink panda (Apink fandom) are pretty upset. BTW…BTOB & Apink are best friends (Naeun & Ilhoon are childhood best friends; Chorong (leader) is best friends with Changsub). The other girl you said looked familiar is Jung Eunji and she is very famous is Korea (for both singing & acting). Apink started with a cute concept and stuck with that mostly until I’m So Sick in 2018. They are still the reigning girl group with most music show wins for their song L.U.V (17 wins). I think you would like NoNoNo, Five, Mr Chu (the first three I recommend performances rather than mv), LUV, Eung Eung, Dumhdurum, & Dilemma (Dilemma is on their 10th year album but wasn’t released until this year due to a legal battle with one of the members; Dilemma is also the last album title track featuring Naeun).

I'm a bit upset that nobody's talking about After School, so let me just say they're one of the most talented and hard working GG ever, PLEDIS did them so wrong... They initially debuted with a "Pussycat dolls" concept and a graduation system (members were added every year and they would leave the group when they decided to move on). The leader Kahi is one of the best dancer in K-pop (she was a backup dancer for BoA among others, and became a dance coach on Produce 101), she handpicked the original members and was PLEDIS dance trainer for the first 2-3 years. Raina is a super strong vocalist, Uee, Nana and Jooyeon are now actresses (and Uee blew up immediately after joining After School, she was doing full-time acting during After School active years), E-young is a multi-instrumentist (at least 5, and she opened a music academy), Bekah was a great rapper, Nana was originally a model... The girls learned marching band drums for 5 months for their CB Bang ! (Girl crush song) ,they learned tap dance for Shampoo, and trained pole dance for months for First love. It was so intense all of them had rips on their palms, Lizzy, Raina and Nana got injured (wrist, leg, ankle) for this, and the tattoos are actually a smart cover-up for all the bruises they got from pole dance practises... They were known for their dancing and top-notch synchronisation, because they had many line-up changes they had to be really versatile and each member managed to cover several members. Also, their sub-unit Orange caramel (Raina Nana Lizzy) is iconic and completely different of After School concept, it's quirky and Trot based, their songs are iconic !
Apink and 4minute used to be labelmates as 4minute was under Cube Entertainment and Apink was under ACube, Cube's subsidiary. ACube went under several mergers, became Plan A (labelmates with Victon), Play M (Apink+Victon+Weeekly), and is now presently known as IST Entertainment (Apink+Victon+Weeekly+The Boyz)
2nd gen is more my taste, mostly 2NE1 with a little bit of Sistar & SNSD. Try I Love You (acoustic) & the mv. Also the Come Back Home ballad live version. But for more hype and banger anthems typical of 2ne1, watch the 2013 Seoul Olympic stadium
For sistar, beside hyolyn, soyou also still active as soloist (she recently droping new EP), and the other 2, bora and dasom, focusing more on acting career. But last year hyolyn and dasom release a single for a project, but as a fans of sistar, it feels like mini reunion lol 🤗 Hyolyn has powerful vocals while soyou had this soft breathy(?) Voice and dasom has even soft voice, that's why hyolyn voice feels like highlighting on their songs, but yes their voice really blends well 🤗 And i think sistar had the best ending, i mean they release a goodbye song, perform it, and on their last week of promotion they do special performance, medley of their hit songs ☺️ I really want you to react more to their songs they had a lot of bop song 🔥🔥 My fav are i like that, give it to me, lonely(their goodbye song)

Minzy is the vocalist with the red hair in the Come Back Home Video. Dara is with the addicted boyfriend. Bom is the one that's left that is a strong vocalist.
4 minute's Hyuna and Jiyoon are both still releasing music. Jiyoon is the vocalist in the EDM group PRSNT. And she has fairly successful solo work under the name Jenyer. Of course nobody needs help finding out what Hyuna is doing.

4Minute has unique choreography and marvelous vocals. The group as a whole is one of my favorites, Sadly the company let the most skilled members go and kept the one with the least vocal skills. (IMHO).
