Nice way to repurpose a 12V lead acid battery. Having said that, you can quite often find kits online comprising of a battery casing (similar in size to these lead acid batteries), and a set of battery holders, which basically allows you to create your own 12V Li-Ion battery pack, thereby saving the need to open a lead acid battery. These are ideal for powering portable electronics - though bear in mind that it won't be a full 12V output, as it is nominal 11.1V (and minimum 7.5V - 9.0V, maximum 12.6V). So you might want a buck/boost converter if the output voltage is critical.

I would think a buck/boost converter would be a must if your load is sensitive to voltage being within a close tolerance. I would have replied to your post directly but RUclips seems to have disallowed that. Maybe I made a mean reply to an idiot and they are spanking me. I did not realize one could get a case that matches the lead acid dimensions. Interesting.
Also, just realized: The Lithium Ion battery is 14,000mAh capacity, not 15,000 (each cell is rated 2,000mAh) The battery pack is not designed for 100A discharge current. The protection PCB may be rated at 100A but the cells are rated at 2A discharge current each - 14A total. Trying to draw 100A from that battery pack will make it very unhappy, very quickly.
He stated 15,000mah, meaning that he could draw 15amps from that battery for 1 hour. If the cells are 2,600mah, this battery will deliver 7.8amps for 1 hour. More or less only good for a 10amp constant draw.

@@Iinustechtips Lifepo4 are different then li-ion. You can charge the lifepo4 (4 cells 3.6v = 14.4v) with ought any issues. Dumping 14.4 into 12.6 li-ion is a problem lol.

Additionally, terminal connectors should be crimped with the appropriate tool rather than relying solely on soldering. It's crucial that the connectors are curved so that the metals can embed into the wires. This ensures that if the cable heats up, the expansion won't cause the metals to loosen from the wires, as solder alone may not provide sufficient support. By curving the connectors, any expansion will facilitate a deeper embedding into the wires, thus enhancing their contact.
The issue with using a 3S Lithium-Ion configuration is that the nominal voltage is just about 11.0 V. Most devices you might use this in will cutout by 11 V or even higher. This means that you can only use half of the available capacity, or about 7 Amps, which is what you started with. Of course you could use full capacity if you connected the battery to a Boost converter then out to the device.

This is just bad information to be giving out. This is why they make specific battery chargers for Li-ion, otherwise everyone would be sticking all kinds of voltages on lithium batteries. Remember they need cv/cc chargers. A lead acid charger is not a cv/cc charger.

The batteries were placed in 5 columns and 6 rows and thick nickel stripe was used for spot welding. I used BMS 6S.The problem is that in few seconds, not more than a minute, the battery gets extremely hot and smoke begins to appear. Please explain the error.

I tried the same but got one problem, my ups works normally on this battery if its already on and give backup after power cut, but if there is already power cut from grid then i can not start the ups iven if battery is fully charged. I need grid power to wakeup the ups I dont understand this problem help me

I have been using the other 12 volt 3S 40A BMS boards but the voltage always reads lower than the battery pack so I just ordered this BMS because it’s balanced and hopefully this one turns out better than those cheaper 12 V 3S BMS boards. I’m going to follow how you soldered it. Btw that pinky nail being longer than all other nails lol I think I know why.
Yeah I got balancing issues with my pack even though the bms got balancing resistors, I fully charged every cells to 4.2V and assembled the pack but after discharging and charging it the pack voltage stays at 4.2V, 4.0V, 4.0V, what to do?
