    I though you only needed 6S for 24v... I am confused, if these are 3.7v nominal voltage that would make it 25.9V and 29.4V fully charged. I am thinking of building the same for my scooter that uses two 12в lead acid batteries.

    • @mcells_batteries
      @mcells_batteries  6 месяцев назад

      Hi, in battery world is 24V for 6S and 7S...like a 48V is for 12S and 13S. Same 60V for 16S and 17S. It's rounding.
      For replacing 2 12V lead acid batteries is good choice 7S connection.

    • @fraserm803
      @fraserm803 4 месяца назад

      The slightly extra voltage dima in either 6s or 7s makes no real difference.

    • @fraserm803
      @fraserm803 4 месяца назад

      Also those 12v x2 lead acid battery type scooters do not charge or hold charge for very long due to the electric motors being
      very power hungary.
      Bsst to just buy li ion scooter with brushless wheel motor.

    • @DimaProk
      @DimaProk 4 месяца назад

      @@fraserm803 The scooter was free, I figured I could make use out of it if I build a Li-Ion battery for it. The sad part is when my son was 4 it was perfect for both of us to ride it. 3 years later he kind of outgrew it and I am sad I put this project for too far long on a backburner :(

    Nice build, very clean, thumbs up!
    But 2 comments from my side:
    -At 5:10:
    Too dangerous in my opinion: While welding on the second side of the battery, there should be some tape for isolation on every cell you are not working on at that specific moment. If you missplace your strips left or right or one strip falls down on the pack while handling it or something like that you´ll get a short. Also if there is a metal strip or anything else conductive left getting under the pack.
    -Why are you using black for the positive discharge wire???

    • @rockefelleragent1357
      @rockefelleragent1357 Год назад

    • @GulftodayT
      @GulftodayT Год назад

      @@rockefelleragent1357 I just wanted to know that is it suitable and safe to use with inverter because the discharge rate will go insanely high and 18650 can not be discharged more than 10 or 15amps cont.

      @@GulftodayT Samsung 40T 21700 batteries might be better way to go... as they can handle very amp discharge (30+A continuous). Are you planning on powering large electrical appliances like a heater, AC, etc?

    • @GulftodayT
      @GulftodayT Год назад

      @@rockefelleragent1357 yes I build a 24v 100ah battery with 18650 cells for my home AC and water pump, but unfortunately the damaged from charging and discharging process because 18650cells don't have that ability to work with inverter. but I will try to make a new one with life-po4 like 21700

    • @rockefelleragent1357
      @rockefelleragent1357 Год назад

      @@GulftodayT If you don't mind me asking are you using solar panels to charge your battery to power your home appliances like AC or heater? If so, can you tell me what size panels you are using and how they are connected (series or parallel)? What inverter are you using? What is the input voltage required for your AC air conditioner (or heater)?
      As for the 18650 battery cells they will do fine powering your unit through inverter if they are quality name brand new conditioned cells and set up right. I don't recommend using LIFEPO4 batteries as they have lower limit of operating voltage range and cannot handle high amp charging and discharging. Samsung 40T 21700 may be the best battery to go with as they can handle high charging and discharging, and it doesn't lose charge in freezing/below-freezing temps, extremely efficient and reliable.

    A physical barrier more than kapton tape would be preferred for the BMS/balance cables. Something like barley paper but this is a really minor thing to point out. The fact that you're using kapton paper is enough honestly, RUclips is full of Indian kids using cells that look like they died 10 years ago and have been rusting away at the bottom of a river ever since, put together with zero capacity, IR testing, no balancing is done prior to assembly they don't even look at cell voltages and then they solder some random wire to the terminals and call it a day. Followed by 1200 comments saying "Genius boss you are great. I wish one day to build battery like you"
    Ehhh 20 seconds later the barley paper comes out!
    This is a quality build, just don't use the Smart Daly BMS's. The dumb ones are just fine though, good price and they work.

      @georgehanan1252 3 года назад

      @@Bharani_0601 these are compatible in 7s mode, the ups will charge these batteries up to 70%. It will reduce the maximum on time as battery not fully charged due to higher voltages but will least much longer and still a lot better compared to lead acid batteries. If you already have them in hand just use these. But I agree it will be better using 3.2 volt batteries in 8s mode, such as 32700 you can put 16 batteries inside UPS with 2 leadacid at 12, also more safe to use lifepo4 batteries as these not exploding.

    What would be a 7s to ?P for a 24v 22ah -/+ battery pack

      @mcells_batteries  3 года назад

      Hi, maybe 6 or 7P. When use 3500mAh cells with 6P it will be 21Ah. When use 3200mAh and 7P it will be something about 22Ah.

      @@mcells_batteries Alright, can I use the same port to charge and discharge? Would it cause any problem in the future? The BMS that I am going to use supports this feature.

    How can I assemble batteries with a capacity of 24 and a current of 150

    • @bobforte9343
      @bobforte9343 2 года назад

      Capacity of 24Ah? You’ll need a (insert number for voltage) S and 10P pack if using 2400mAh cells. (Insert)S5P if using 4800mAh 21700 cells. 3000mAh cells would be (insert)S8P.
      The first number I’m omitting is the cells in series. 7S for a high 24V. 6S for a very low 24V. 4S for a 12-16.8V and 3S for 9-12.6V. Thankfully 36V fits just about perfectly at 10S with 3.6 nominal and is close enough for 3.7 nominal cells.

    Brother Nice demonstration and excellent clean work. I just have one doubt.. why did you use a black wire for battery and charge positive ? and why a blue wire for battery negative ?
