Your video is so much fun. For the snowy Forest sweater try combining it with wide leg pants in cream or black with a block heel boot or pump and put your hair up. You will be back in proportion and look like the winter Queen of cable sweaters!
Wow! Wow! Wow! The criteria for your rating system was brilliant and really useful. I really feel that my sweater knitting over the last couple of years has missed the mark. So I actually came up with, and wrote down, my criteria for 2024. Much of what I wrote was reflected in your rating system. Looking forward to watching part 2 of your review. Thanks
This is awesome to hear! I love that you've complied your own rating system for this year. For my own knitting, I felt a need to have a baseline guide to compare my knitwear and I'm quite happy with how it worked. Did you ads a different piece of criteria to your rating system? I'd love to know, as I feel my criteria should have the ability to grow and change with more experience. Thank you!
Thumbs up x 12! What a wonderful round up, and I love your format here it’s so thorough and it really is what matters thank you very much for all the time it took to create this! High five 🙌🏼 from a fellow rustic yarn lover. Can’t wait to watch part two. 😀
Thank you very much for your generous words! I had such a great time putting all of my knits from 2023 together and really wanted to review them in a constructive way that can help grow myself as a knitter this year. And yes, rustic yarns have my heart. ❤️
I appreciate the time, care and thoroughness it took to put this video together. I love how many colours you use. Justice for your Lou Genser, it looks amazing on you!
You did an amazing job organizing and presenting your information. I watch these videos to learn, really appreciated all the detail and look forward to more videos from you.
I'm so happy you enjoyed it! I felt a need to base my knitwear reviews in a way that could be applied to all of my garments. Thank you very much for your kind words!
Thank you very much! I'm so happy you enjoyed it. I had a great time putting it together and am excited to compare my knitting next year to my knitting of this year.
That was a great episode. It's so interesting to review your knits and see what actually gets worn or what you just loved knitting not so much wearing. Process vs product. Happy New Year. Kim
Jennifer I’ve so enjoyed watching your podcasts. I’ve especially enjoyed the combination of travel and knitting. I’m enjoying a serene snowy view in Halifax as I watched this episode. Tomorrow off to Florida where I will attempt to balance my love of wooly knits and Florida temperatures. Happy New Year!
Congratulations for all of these wonderful sweaters! You are an inspiration! I wish you a happy new year, with many beautiful projects, health, wonderful travels and joy with your dear ones!
Woah I can't believe you knit all these stunning sweaters in ONE year, so impressive! The ruffle turned out so lovely! Happy new year and I hope it has lots of wonderful things in store for you
Thanks Jennifer for this podcast and all the others, always fun! I’m so impressed with all the knitting you managed to do in 2023 and you have more to share!!! Meanwhile I’m still working on my socks LOL! 😂My faves: Ranunculus, Felix and Field Sweater 😊
Thank you very much! I have loved knitting up a storm this year. I'm excited for your socks and hope you are loving your time as you knit of them. Happy New Year!
I purled a row where I wanted to anchor my ruffle. After finishing the sweater, I went back to the anchor row, picked-up those stitches. Then, one every other round I increased by stitches. For this ruffle, I increased every other stitch, so you end-up with heaps of stitches on the needles. I did the kfb as my increase. I hope this helps!
I really enjoyed your video.... just one question... what is the use of "she" for objects ? English is my second language (French is the 1st) and until recently "it" was used.... did I miss a few classes ....? is it a trend ? because I heard that in other podcasts....
It depends on the person speaking but “it” is the most commonly used pronoun. “She” can be used in place of “it” but this is usually done for an item you’re attached to. This is simplifying it a bit, but is generally how “she” is used in English to refer to objects. If you’re not sure how to apply it when you speak “it” is perfectly acceptable
Thank you very much! "It" is the non-gendered subject pronoun used in English and as our nouns of non-living things are not associated with gender, "it" is used for things (e.g., The sweater is beautiful. It is beautiful). However, @yay5112 explained the "she" use well. It isn't proper grammar to use a gendered subject pronoun when referring to things, like a sweater. I use "she" when referring to my knit items as more of a term of endearment.❤️
Hello from Jasper Alberta! I’m so happy you broke the sweater curse! I made a sweater for my ex but thankfully still close friends. So we are all working to break that silly thing! I’m new to your channel and found you through Irina over @fiberchats. Yay for another Canadian yarn cast! Knit on!
It's a delight that you're here! The sweater curse is a thing! The Sweater That Broke the Sweater Curse sits ideal and isn't being worn. It's slightly tent-y. I have to say, I'm not completely sad about it. It was a learning experience of garment construction for a man. Happy knitting!

I love this idea for styling! And, as for the winter queen of cable sweaters, yes please!!!
I am LOVING this episode. It's so satisfying to hear such a detailed assessment of each knit. Thank you for all your work!
What a lovely comment! Thank you very much. I had a great time putting it all together and using this rating system to help guide my review.
Really appreciated your rating criteria on your knits! What a great review! Thank you for sharing!
I'm so happy you liked it! I had a great time reviewing everything I've knit. Thank you for your kind words!
So interesting to see your knits with the rating system. I enjoyed this so🥰
I'm so happy you enjoyed it! I really enjoyed creating the criteria and can't wait to continue to use this rating system in the future.
Your Lou Genser suits you more than you think! You look lovely in it x
That's so nice! Thank you very much.

Thank you very much! I find I get into a colour phase and knit on that colour for a bit and then onto something new. It's very seasonal as well.
Loved the stats!
Thanks! It was fun pulling it all together. I'm excited to compare what 2024 will hold!
Just started watching and I’m loving the data analytics!

how did you do that ruffle... i need a knitted pattern for a DRAMATIC ruffle so i can mimic the ruffles crocheted beanies they are so cute!
