Hedgehog fibers will take your leftovers and based on the weight, you can get a coupon for their yarn. It isn’t domestic, though, and you do have to pay the shipping to get it to them. Super fun to find your channel! ❤️
Thanks! Enjoyed seeing new patterns. I put a lot of yarn scraps in a suet holder for the birds along with some wool fleece for building nests. Then I saw our neighbourhood squirrel running by with a mouthful of wool! So adorable
Happy new year Emily, enjoyed your podcast today got some good ideas for knits this year. I think as knitters we should never compare ourselves to others because we all knit at different paces and have different skills loved all your knits even the one that was huge😊. I am amazed at all the wonderful knits out there ❤ I am 76 and want to knit more and more so thank you for sharing and am looking forward to this year and seeing what you knit, dye and spin. 😊
Thanks for the inspirations.Enjoid it really. The little bits of yarn: Crochet a simple cushion or blanket or need it to Fill something like " Sternkissen". Best wishes for you and your family, kindly
I enjoyed your recap! I knit the Find Your Flock sweater by Brienne Moody. It's worsted weight. There's 2 versions. I did the one with just the feathers so it only used 2 colors, but it could be a nice pattern to still get the feather vibe.
I literally LOL @18:41 you are so right! You’ve seen one and you’ve seen them all just different iterations although I do wonder how different yours look compared to Texas 😬 (that’s where I work).
I think you should put the tweedy bits in a photo frame. I think it would be a nice design element on the wall. I had never seen that before and I think I'm going to do that!
There are lots of beautiful sweater patterns inspired by nature from Finnish designers. For example colorwork patterns Metsänpeitto by Jenna K. or Metsä-paita by Lee Esselström. Niina Laitinen has both colorwork and lace patterns. I knit her Ikkunaprinsessa last summer and I love it!
Hi and Happy New Year!!! I found your channel during Vlogmas and enjoyed everything. Today I have been inspired and amazed at the amount that you accomplished in 2023. I hope 2024 treats you as well. Thanks.
I'm so happy I found you : ). Happy knitting in 2024 & I'll be watching! p.s. where is this mill that you mentioned? I want to knit more this year with local yarn. Thanks!
TWEED QUEEN!! Enjoyed your recap and thoughts on your makes! Happy for you that you'll be frogging that Tecumseh and re-using the yarn. Stratified by Tif Neilan is a worsted weight pattern that uses more than 3 colors but you could just alternate the colors in the different sections as you see fit with 3. Coloring Book Raglan by Aimee Sher is a worsted weight pattern that has one main color and then stripes so you could do the stripes with the 2 CCs. Happy New Year Emily!~Stephanie
Hi Emily, Happy New Year!!! What a wonderful podcast, congrats on all your amazing knits this year, I laughed out loud when you tried on the Tecumseh - hilarious!!! You inspired me to knit the wild flower tee by Tif Neilan and it’s actually one of my favorite knots this year, since that I’ve knitted a few more of Tif’s patterns and just love her patterns. Thank you for a wonderful year of podcasts, you are one of my go to podcasts to watch whilst I knit. Here’s to many more in 2024🥂 🎉
What a great video full of inspiration! I found your channel this year with Vlogmas and am so glad I did! I only kept up with 4 channels of Vlogmas this year because of how busy December was, and your was one of them! I loved watching you open your advents and make the Anthology throw!!
Thanks so much for sharing! love how you formatted this episode - different from all the others. I found you during vlogmas this year and I'm so happy I did. I love your energy and your makes. Keep up the great work!
Love love love all the knits! You’ve made so many beautiful things. The mittens are out of the ball park for me!!! Love your videos always. Happy New Year 🎉
Happy New Year! I recently found your channel and am loving it. I've been mainly a crocheter but have really gotten into knitting this past year and am planning to knit up my first sweater in 2024. I don't know if you do Amigurumi, but a lot of people will use their little scrappy bits as stuffing material instead of batting. This way, it gets recycled into other projects with minimal effort.
I do not understand how the sweater to be frogged could end up so huge. People knitting top down claim this is a great way to knit as you Can try thé garment on as often as necessary.
It grew quite a bit after blocking! And, through the yoke and chest I liked the fit, but once I added the arms, the writing was on the walls. I learn with every pattern 😊.

So many lovely knits, you are so good at colour work and your Sheep Camp sweater is just stunning!
I love your system of breaking down your favorites and your runner up and you're one and done. That's really creative and very interesting to watch.
Thanks! Enjoyed seeing new patterns. I put a lot of yarn scraps in a suet holder for the birds along with some wool fleece for building nests. Then I saw our neighbourhood squirrel running by with a mouthful of wool! So adorable

So happy I’ve found your upbeat channel! Amazing output for 2023, and I saw quite a few new-to-me patterns here which was great. 🎉

I love the idea of knitting a pattern from a MN designer, too. Thanks for the recommendation!
I found your channel by accident, love your personality! Subscribed when I realized you are wearing the sheep camp, just cast on, yours is beautiful!
Thank you!!!
DYING at the Tecumseh try on :))))
I literally LOL @18:41 you are so right! You’ve seen one and you’ve seen them all just different iterations although I do wonder how different yours look compared to Texas 😬 (that’s where I work).
Great episode. Love the way you graded each category. Beautiful knits.
You were a busy girl…love your grading them! 😀
Your knits are beautiful! I hope you find a great pattern for the sweater that was ginormous! That yarn is outstanding! I enjoyed your video.
Thank you!
I made 2 Felix pullovers and a Felix cardigan. Great pattern.
Great recap! It is motivating me to get around to making some of these.
You can do it!
I love seeing everything you have knit in 2023! I want to keep better track of everything I make in 2024! You have inspired me❤️
I think you should put the tweedy bits in a photo frame. I think it would be a nice design element on the wall. I had never seen that before and I think I'm going to do that!
Great idea!
I think you should turn your tecumsah into a big throw pillow. 😇❤️🔥
Your color work mittens are fantastic. I have never seen anything like that!
Thank you so much!
What a fun “twist” on sharing all of your 2023 knits. Happy New Year! 🎉🧶💥
What a busy year. You made a lot of pretty Knits. Happy New Year.
Thank you so much. You are an inspiration to this procrastinating knitter. Happy 2024!
Delightful to watch!!

Thanks for watching, Sandra! Love that goal. The mill is Badgerface Fiber at Get Bentz Farm - getbentzfarm.com/badgerface-fiber. Happy knitting!

Очень красиво❤
Hi Emily, that sweater #2 might fit my husband 😅 why didn't you stop ? 😮 nice podcast 😊
Adore your Tif Neilan top ! Did you dye the skeins or the finished object ?
Thank you! I dyed the skeins.
Can you tell me what patterns you used for your hot water bottle covers? Thanks!
Hi there! It is the Hot Water Bottle Cover by Emily Bolduan, a free pattern on Ravelry - www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/hot-water-bottle-cover-48
@@thebotanicalknitter - Perfect! Thank you!
Just a thought - for the yarn bits in the jar, would there be a way to put them out when birds are building nests? I think they’d love it.
All about keeping the birds warm! I’ve read to avoid yarn for safety reasons but i put out scraps of wool fiber and roving.
Why not frog it back to the yoke and calculate how many stitches you need to have a chest measurement with less ease?
Your Tecumseh you said you
Knit in worsted weight? I thought the pattern calls for DK? Is that possibly why yours turned out so huge?
👍👍🧶
