And don't forget Gozer The Sumerian God of Destruction who was also worshipped by The Sumerians The Hittites and The Mesopatamians and that includes The Babylonians I love watching this video it's very interesting to watch plus did you know that Tiamat the babylonian Goddess of Chaos had her own Ziggurat and She went to War with Marduk The King Of The Babylonian Gods who made the world from her corpse in babylonian mythology? There is or was a Ziggurat, outside of one of our Military bases in Iraq.. Myself and another Soldier visited it back in 2004 deployment.. He and I were able to walk up the many steps, towards the top..That's as far as we could go..Amazing work.. I've done some more scrolling on here...I found a site..Ziggurat of Ur..And the birth place of Abraham..
@abdullamohammed_ I don't remember the location..That was back in 2004.. It was close to an old burial site where,I think high ranking Elders were buried in large underground burial sites..All of the bodies had been removed due to an excavation back in the 1920s..We were told that a local dwelling, was the home of Abraham..It was a large structure of just the remaining walls and flooring of the home, that remained..It was within walking distance of the Ziggurat and the burial site..Excavation of the burial tombs were done in the early 1920s..
Intetesting, thank you! I was curious about ziggurats since I learnt that they inspired the Hanging Gardens. I wanted to picture in my head how they would look like *.*
Interestingly. Archaeologists have found at these sites. Circled around the Ziggurats encampments or housing where lived ( it is presumed ) " professional proccesioners " religious practitioners whos entire function was to perform ritualistic procession around the ziggurat or temple. They carried effigies of their gods along with musical instruments very similar to certain practices you will find around the world today.....
My dear, there are PLENTY of ziggurats left, quite a lot of them in good shape. Anatolia is littered with these structures. Most are not especially huge, but they nonetheless are imposing structures relative to their surroundings. Most simply are not famous, which may be why you are not aware of them. On my humanitarian mission to Turkish Kurdistan (the greater Diyarbakir region), I climbed one and coud see several on the horizon. They are ALL OVER Turkish Kurdistan.
These numerous ziggurats built in antiquity, of the kind that I saw and mounted, were used by the Kurds' ancestors in antiquity as message (and obviously, sentry) posts. Messages would be flashed from their heights, to pass along the system of these structures to pass along information, especially of a military nature. The ziggurats continued in use over the ages for various purposes, to store crops, as guard posts for the locals, as bastions during conflicts, and so forth. These ziggurats are plentiful and they remained in use, of course for other purposes as time went by. They were too useful to destroy.
1:00. If your talking about the temple in Babylon, being the temple asked Tower of Babel , Well it isn’t in Babylon or in Mesopotamia, Or the land of Shinar.. they got the translations wrong when they were deciding the Bible and other religious books. I think They intentionally got the land of Shinar wrong or were the tower of Babel is located. I seen evidence , of a great man made structure on top of one of the highest plateau’s in the world . If I were to build a tower that was to reach the heavens. I would of built my tower on it. There is a giant pyramid On top of Mount Kailash in Tibet . If you look at the surrounding land there, you will find evidence of structures and megaliths all over that area that looks like it was intentionally blown up ,to hide a city that dwelled there some 5000 years age. The Tower of Babel was destroyed by God and only a third of it still stands today . The measurement of what the tower looked like was theshape of a pyramid that Took 3 days to walk around its base. As it tells in the Bible (sort of tells about it. Only referring it to the city and the tower. The books of jasher and Jubilees desires it well. The Judaeo-Christian interpretation, as found for example in the writings of Flavius Josephus, explains the construction of the tower as a hubristic act of defiance against God ordered by the arrogant tyrant Nimrod. There a couple other religious books were they speak of bable . The have video here In youtube were they over satellite pictures of the mountain and the surrounding land. But it only allows you to zoom in so much to theyowers base for some reason you can tell they are huge carving of something all along its base (the base takes 3 day at the least to walk around it. It’s absolutely huge. There many unusual thinks about mount Kailash. The home of 3 religions most holy mountain. And get this. The governments of Tibet, China, and India wont allow anyone to submit the mountain they won’t even let you get close enough to the base . Let alone search the area . It’s said no man has ever summoned the peak except for2 people, and bad things happened to both of them.its also said to be the home of the Hindu god shiva . Also has a theory of-it one being a nuclear reactor of some kind. And the near by lake is completely radioactive. With nuclear waste from the reactor I assume . Look more deeply into Mount Kailash, if you want correct answers to the tower of bable.✌🏼
The Bible is history and Genesis is the account of God's creation of mankind, creatures, earth and heavens, the fall of mankind, genealogies of nations and the famous Ziggurat; the tower of Babel. Where God confused the language of mankind that was ONE by new languages. God dispersed mankind : scattered them over the globe. Each person created a new nation with unique language. That's WHY we see similar ziggurats all over the world, from the cultural dispersion. God's Word is truth.

Because that's how their language has been constructed
