Fraser played those same mind games, and I imagine Toomey does as well (she had a "full day of eating" video that showed a paltry 2 to 3,000 calories a while back). The joy of that enormous training volume is that you don't need to be too picky about how clean you eat . . .
@@swholliday1 yes you do. Not for fuel-purposes, but for inflammation purposes and cortisol control, yes. Most of these guys are eating structured when the cameras are off and doing a “Hail Mary” when crossfit cameras come into town. Hence the fast food, bs they’re eating whenever they can. I don’t blame them, I wouldn’t want to be in the kitchen cooking steak rice and veggies six times a day with a camera in my face the whole time, when they’re supposed to be filing training, either.

@@Ddiaz007 he’s gotten smaller but has more muscle maturity. I’m less amazed by his physique and more by the fact he can still even do this after 10+ years of Froning-level volume, catching bad lifts and still completing the lift, inflammatory diet in the first half of his career, all of which are terrible for your joints. It’s amazing he can still train like this an qualify and keep WINNING the games. His genetics truly are superior not only with aesthetics, but for recoverability and durability. Considering most of his competition from his individual days are now retired, broken and train maybe once a day, this is incredibly impressive.
