@@cindydemanche3839 Really? I figured it out after Mercola came out and set the record straight after his best selling keto book. He said that it shrinks the muscles, bones and brains. There's clinical evidence it starts shrinking muscle even before two weeks on it. It essentially consumes the body to keep the body going and functioning.

When first diagosed with T2D in 2012, my doctor prescribed medication and I was referred to a diabetic dietician who gave me very specific instructions on diet and exercise. I rigidly followed the diet/exercise recommendations. I gained a significant amount of weight, my A1C increased, and my doctor prescribed a second pill.
After a year or so, my lovely wife found alternative treatments. Long story short, we learned that we should follow the exact opposite recommendations that the health care organizations pushes. Additionally, it appears to me that the FDA's food pyramid is completely upside down.
After changing my diet to the upside down model, I've lost almost 50 pounds and my T2D is now managed without medications.
Thanks for undertaking this effort Dr. Berry.

I was close to having Type 2 diabetes and the standard medical advice and treatment did nothing to help me. When I discovered Dr Berry's advice on RUclips I found a way of not only reversing my condition but turning my health back more than 20 years. I lost weight, do not get up 4-6 times in a night, skin conditions gone, so much more energy, brain fog gone, not so grumpy. Thank you Dr Berry and blessings on the American Diabetes Society. My wife has been a type 1 diabetic for 50 years now. She has been ketovore for a year and was just keto for a year and a half prior to that. Her A1c went from low 9s to 6.0 as of a few weeks ago. Her retinopathy has got way better to where she no longer has any eye bleeds anymore. She had eye bleeds for over 15 years and now not one eye bleed for almost 2 years.
Her endocrinologist has been absolutely no help for the last 15 years and when she tells him why and how she is now doing so well he literally has no interest in listening to her. They even went as far to tell her she must eat carbs. She said NO!
He wont even consider her success enough to tell his other patients to try help them. Its like a bad horror movie.

My dad, who is 74, has been a severe type 2 for decades. He was so severe he had to see a specialist because his regular doctor couldn’t keep his diabetes under control. After decades on medications, I got him to try keto. In about 12 months he reversed his diabetes to the point he was off all meds and lost about 100 pounds. I went full carnivore but he stayed more with meat-heavy keto. It works for him! And he’s sticking with it.
I was never a diabetic but I was very obese and had hypothyroidism. On carnivore, I have also lost about 100 pounds over the last year and my thyroid has had some improvement with the addition of iodine supplements.
I haven’t had quite the success Tory as my dad because I still struggle with my thyroid, but my dad’s diabetes is 💯 under control. After decades of bad advice and terrible meds, which only caused more problems than they solved, he is the healthiest he’s been almost his entire life!

Thank you, Dr. Berry. I'm a 62-year-old female with a 20-year history of poorly controlled type 2 diabetes. For most of that time I took a non-insulin injectable (Trulicity) with ever-increasing dosages over time. My endocrinologist pressured me many times to go on insulin, but I refused. It didn't make sense to me. I'm happy to say that next month will be 1 year since I stopped the non-insulin injections. I take no medication for diabetes. I've lost 75 lbs. and my A1C has gone from 10.9 with meds to 6.0 with no meds. I fully expect to be under 6.0 by the end of 2024. My highest C-reactive protein (that I know of) was 55 (FIFTY-FIVE) and it is now normal at 4.3. My highest fasting insulin (that I know of) was 77 and my last blood work 6 months ago it was 19. I expect it to be even lower now. My liver enzymes have normalized, after being out of range for two decades. My kidney function on my last blood work was still stage 3, so I am hoping for improvement there. I have been taking 3 different meds for HBP; Metoprolol 100 mg twice per day, Indapamide 1.25 mg once per day, and Losartan 20 mg. three times per day. I now take 50mg Metoprolol just once per day in the morning. I'm still taking the Indapamide, and then the Losartan has been reduced to 20mg once per day in the morning. My blood pressure continues to normalize, I test several times per day at home. I've taken meds for HBP since I was 20 years old and at that time, I weighed only 125 lbs. at 5'10", I was told it was hereditary. For the first time in 40 years, I see a time in my near future where I will be off of it. 12 years ago, as I was approaching age 50, I was taking 14 daily medications. I now take the 3 for HBP but again I expect to be off those within a year or less. I still have considerable weight to lose; my top weight in 2018 was 360 and my height is now 5'8". My current weight is 285, so about another 125 to lose. I'm not full-on Carnivore, more like Ketovore. I would say that my tope recommendations to anyone wanting to reverse type 2 diabetes or just improve their health is: 1) stop all processed food-like substances (they are NOT food). 2) stop consuming inflammatory vegetable and seed oils and be aware that all fast food and nearly all restaurant food is cooked in them so just cook your meals at home with single ingredient whole foods. 3) prioritize sleep 4) move your body. Not everyone can run/jog/walk. For me, walking still hurts quite a bit so I use a rebounder, do body weight squats, and kettlebell throws, and I just got a vibration plate which I discovered 5 minutes standing on it will reduce my blood sugar by up to 30 points. And 5) reduce your carbohydrate intake dramatically. I still eat some berries most days, a few nuts and seeds, and also raw milk and a little very dark chocolate. But gone are the days of sugary soda, candy, cake, cookies, etc. and I can honestly say that I don't miss those foods, and I especially don't miss how they made me feel. Thank you for all you do for this community. You are and have changed many lives including mine.

Wow… what an amazing story Elizabeth!! Keep up the amazing job!!
I’m 62 yrs old and in Feb 2023 I found Dr Berry and adopted a Proper Human Diet (keto and now 90% carnivore).
I’ve not only lost 98 lbs to my lowest weight since I was 20, but I’ve also reversed/cured…
My T2 diabetes, high BP, migraines, acid reflux, chronic arthritis and fatigue, brain fog, IBS, bipolar depression, anxiety and a lot more and I’m OFF ALL MEDS.
My energy levels, mental clarity and focus is off the charts and I have felt this amazing in decades.
Im not sure if you know who Kelly Hogan (My Zero Carb Life) and Dr Lisa Wiedeman (Carnivore Doctor) are, but they would tell you to eliminate all sweet tastes (like the berries, diet soda, chocolates, etc) to end your sugar and carb addiction completely.
This will help you to cure your high BP, diabetes, arthritis and inflammation and regain full mobility so you can begin to walk and exercise again.
My arthritis in my knees and back was so bad that I could barely walk and now I’m walking 5-6 miles every morning with my dog.
I hope this helps you and best of luck and continued success!!😊😊

I've been type 1 for 49 years and it's not a good disease to have. So much work and frustration. But I'm blessed to still be alive and in pretty good shape. I work hard to take care of myself. I went in a coma was how I was diagnosed and dr said they are close to a cure and I would not have it very long but here I am still with it. They won't find a cure because there's too much money in it for the pharmaceutical companies. 😢

I am SO thankful to hear there is a new organization-beyond ADA. My sister worked for that org and I was shocked at the lame, dangerous information they pushed. I have friends that are diabetic that have so completely bought the ADA crap that they are convinced there is nothing they can do for themselves. It’s heartbreaking….

I'm glad ya'll started this ,I got no help from the Diabetes association. I am doing the Conavore diet and almost no carbs ,2 meals a day walking intermediate fasting, my blood sugar is at 261. In the morning now and I will keep going .I can't donate now because I am on only S.S. check and it's not much .Under 800 . I went through a bad divorce with no Income and I had to give up my job of 69,000 a year because of Diabetes. But I found you and Jason Fung and now I have an option. Thank you so much and keep going ,your helping heal their lives and destroy this disease .

Gail… keep up the great work!!
I’m 62 and have been on a Proper Human Diet for 586 days (started keto, then ketovore and now 90% carnivore).
I’ve not only lost 98 lbs, I’ve also reversed/cured my T2 diabetes, high BP, IBS, migraines, acid reflux, chronic arthritis and fatigue, depression, anxiety and a lot more.
I now look and feel like I’m in my 20’s again and I’ve not felt this amazing in decades!!
You can do it, even on a fixed income Gail.

Thanks! Keto and now carnivore have kept my A1C down to safe levels for years now. I avoided any diabetes complications, but I was sure headed there according to my doctor. He was going to prescribe medication when I turned it around (have have kept there for over a decade), simply by eating a PHD (though early on I'll admit to cheating). I've been carnivore for 2 years now and at age 66 take no medications, have great BP, super blood work, remission of arthritis and inflammation, plenty of energy (biked 300 miles in 5 days recently), and am sharper than I was 10 years ago. Mahalo!

I’ve suffered with chronic bipolar depression and anxiety for decades and after about 6 months, I began to slowly wean off all my psych meds with the help and supervision of my psychiatrist and I’m now off all meds.
I’m 62 yrs old, 586 days on a Proper Human Diet and I’ve lost 98 lbs and reversed/cured my T2 diabetes, high BP, migraines, acid reflux, arthritis, fatigue, brain fog and a lot more.

@@Papacarnivore15 Thank you. I will definitely stay on it, I see no reason going back eating crap. I've been doing carnivore for 2 years. Most of my suicidal depression, severe anxiety, and all of the hypomania are gone, but I still have chronic fatigue. I haven't had those fast results many people are talking about, my results came very slowly, but I think I'll eventually become completely healthy and start a new life. I'm 51.

Not only in America. I'm South African and so many cereals etc. here are South African Diabetes Association or South African Heart Association approved but when I ate them my sugar went through the roof. I actually discovered low carb by accident years ago when I ate a "bad" breakfast of bacon and eggs and my sugar was great afterwards. But I was always told that was so unhealthy. It was only after discovering channels like yours that I realized that those foods were actually good for me.

I just set up monthly donations. My A1C was 6.1 (highest ever) and BG 118 and I’m worried. My Primary Dr wants to see me again in 3 months and I was told I might need medication. 🙄 No one, per usual, asked me what my diet looked like or gave me any instructions to avoid becoming a T2D. I know it’s possible to regain my lower levels. I’m in transition to keto/carnivore and my naturopath (ND) said carnivore is “extreme.” I’ve been reading all of the “anecdotal” stories for almost a year now and everyone can’t be lying! Good luck! 😃

That’s great that you’ve decided to adopt a Proper Human Diet!!
I find it comical that your Doctor believes that you eating a PHD is “extreme”.
Humans have been eating fatty meat and eggs with some veggies for 2-3 million years. If somehow eating this way was bad for humans, we would be extinct as a species.
However, humans have only been eating the Standard Western Diet loaded with sugar, toxic veg seed oils, highly refined grains, chemicals and pesticides and glyphosate for about 80 yrs and it’s making humans fat, sick, depressed and anxious, with tons of auto immune diseases, diabetes and cancer.
I’ll do the Proper Human Diet thank you!!😊
