Hi! A Korean passing by :) They used the word "느끼하다" to describe the pancakes and that specific Korean word doesn't exist in English! The closest word in English is "greasy" so the subtitles had no other choice. It doesn't mean it has too much oil and it's oily (or cooked the wrong way). Koreans usually eat spicy, salty side dishes with rice and soup. So when we eat stuff like cheese, cream, bread and all the 'buttery' flavored things, some can feel queasy in the mouth or stomach (maybe somehow nauseating), and that kind of feeling/taste is called "느끼하다". So I guess this adjective is made based on the spicy and salty Korean diet! I do agree they were a bit too criticizing and careful, but I wanted to tell everybody that the word "greasy" isn't the same here in Korea! We just don't have the right English word for "느끼하다". :)
Thank you for adding this. I was thinking it may have been a language barrier word because we don't have the same meanings for things with the words across all languages. It's pretty interesting though
with al the corn syrup used in many amarican recipes even my german stomach would feel queasy Im used to a slize of rye bread with cheese, a bole of cereals or yogurt even germans that eat tost with nutella/jam/marmalade or a bread roll with slized meat would feel queasy because englisch and amarican breakfast is way to full to eat in the morning britisch stuff is to havy as a whole and amarican stuff is to havy or to sugary
Yes! And our breads- toast, biscuits, english muffins, bagels, croissants, etc. I will even make grilled cheese, or a cheese quesadilla, for breakfast. Maybe I'm the only one who also has rice, with salt, pepper & butter sometimes, in place of grits... And before anyone says this isn't American & that isn't American- who cares, it is still what plenty of Americans eat for breakfast.
@@AnnaH4R We eat rice with milk, butter and sugar for breakfast sometimes. We are surprisingly heavy rice eaters for being taught cooking by Hispanic, Native and Bohemian roots
what's the big deal if they want to use it plastic knives then let them use it. they don't have chopsticks so.... maybe they don't like touching greasy bacon
just an fyi when Koreans refer to a food being “greasy” they don’t literally mean that is has grease on it. the word they said in korean means that it feels heavy. Have yall ever had an experience where you’re eating alfredo or something thick that makes u feel heavy and nauseous and makes you not want to eat it anymore? yeah thats what they mean when they say that term.
Thanks, I was confused to how they could be greasy, this makes much more sense. I can't eat pancakes or waffles they are too heavy for me. More of a dessert in my book.
"How do you eat that?" "Whatever you like. It's not American if you consider that." This guy definitely spent time in the US. Most of us don't stand on ceremony in day to day activities.
We have this very strict tradition in our house. It's called "Mom spent 2 hours cooking this. Let's see if we can break our record and shove it all in our mouth in less than a minute"
@@Sentientmatter8 - No it isn't. You can be rich but you might grow up poor and end up rich or vice versa. Its not a static thing. My stepfather is middle class but his brother is rich. Its not a class thing they both had the same parents.
Americans don't typically eat pancakes for breakfast as a routine. It's something that a would be reserved perhaps for the weekends and even then only on occasion. Most Americans rush out of the house relatively quickly in the morning so typically it would be something with extremely small prep time and preferably even portable such as: cereal, toast, bagels, muffins, pastry or perhaps just skipping breakfast altogether and having coffee or tea.
Ya pancakes are normally only enjoyed on a special occasion and I really only eat pancakes for breakfast if I have some left over or if i go to a diner
Agreed oatmeal, yogurt, bagel, breakfast sandwich, smoothie, granola bar, etc. I have pancakes a few times a year at most. The main thing we worry about in the morning is coffee.

This is not "Americans' breakfast". It's "Americans' breakfast which koreans thought". And they have to more respect it because it's one of food cultures.
@@hud1231 - I eat 2 servings of hashbrowns made from frozen-in-the-bag, shredded potatoes, plus 3 or 4 eggs easy over, and sometimes one pig sausage (Farmer John), or 2 or 3 pieces of bacon, not Jimmy Dean, and not maple flavored. I wash it down with strong, black coffee. An hour later, I take Psillium fiber to get more energy from my meal, and better digestion. That's my biggest meal, usually. Lunch might be fairly big, or not, but dinner is always on the small side. I'm not educated on digestion or biology for that matter, but I wonder about digesting food while we sleep. For the folks who eat big dinners and digest during sleep, where does the energy go? To fat? I looked on the packet of those potato patties, like they serve at fast food restaurants, and I didn't like the low quality fat they use. I went for the bagged shredded potatoes because I can cook them in avocado oil. In Hawaii, they serve rice with breakfast. It's sticky rice, which is superior to loose rice, although, most Americans are mislead on this topic.
I know I don't usually. It depends on my mood, and how my bowels feel. I don't eat the healthiest, but I do eat healthy most of the time. Don't eat a lot anyway. It all depends on the region that the person is from. No one deemed American, besides the Native Americans, are native to America. Everyone else brings their cultures here, and it's fun to try them out to be fairly honest.
Honestly so true I leave for school in a rush bc i stay up late watching youtube and then wake up and have 10 mintues to get ready and well I'm a girl and I take forever even tho I wear the same sweatshirt everyday and in the weekends I will eat breakfast
I don't eat breakfast and I hardly eat lunch because I'm not hungry until I get home. I eat dinner but it's all home cooked. But I am not skinny which is a mystery to me.
That breakfast looked bland lol. See they should have given them a southern breakfast. Pancakes or waffles your choice. Scrambled eggs. Toast. Bacon, sausage, ham or all 3! Grits with salt, pepper and butter 😋. Oooh and hash browns. A nice cup of hot coffee, orange juice, apple juice or milk. Your choice as well. I like to cover all my food in maple syrup too!
I love how enthusiastic your comment reads and don’t forget the biscuits and gravy, that by far is one of the best breakfast dishes ever made. My mom always put just a tiny amount of sugar in the gravy to balance the saltiness I understand if it sounds weird but it works at least for me.
Your Ego It's not that I don't like it, it's just that I'm not used to people saying things from my country are "traditional", but to me they're just normal.
EpicGamingLogic I do love breakfast, but I don't have the time or money to make it all that often. So I do the same before work in the morning, I drink a protein shake, but I also take a vitamin. Though if I had the time in the mornings, I still wouldn't because I can't eat a heavy meal and be active right away. So for me, breakfast is a rare thing that is only eaten on my day off, or if I go to a restaurant, at dinner time, that sells breakfast 24hrs. Nothing beats brinner. Though I'm not a hardy breakfast eater, I don't like eggs by themselves, and I only like bacon. For me, breakfast isn't breakfast if it isn't like eating dessert for a meal with a salty and super crispy bacon compliment. So pancakes, french toast, or waffles with lots of syrup. Chocolate chip or pecan pancakes are both my favorites. Basically, it isn't breakfast for me if it doesn't feel like my foot might fall off after eating it.
Idk i wouldnt say this is accurate 🤔 where are the hashbrowns, the cereal, the milk and the orange juice. Also wth are apple waffles? If we gonna eat waffles they gonna be eggos and they gotta be crispy. And the pancakes are usually buttermilk with maple syrup. Eggs and bacon should be accompanied by bread and bacon is eaten with hands
Eggos? Eww. Do yourself a favor and get a waffle maker. It's SO much better to have fresh waffles. And apple waffles are great, totally worth trying - which is not to say butter and maple syrup aren't also a good option. And they do have a good point, rice and kimchi makes for a great breakfast too.
Normally pancakes, eggs and bacon are not eaten alone like this. They are eaten together so the salty/sugary tastes complement each other and keep the meal from tasting too salty or sugary. A bite of this, a bite of that. Just eating one can get old quickly.
i should try eating them together one day.. it’s just that i get full after two bites 😂 i live in the US so ihop is THE best, except their pancakes are too bigggg
You guys need a non-quirky American consultant. Pancakes and waffles should have butter and maple syrup. Eggs are a bit more subjective, but I think I would argue that a fried egg, or scrambled, is more American. That plate with a little bacon and a sunny side up egg looked wrong. I would prefer to see: bacon (or sausage), toast, scrambled eggs, hash browns, and ketchup.
+grim You aren't wrong. Let me try to figure it out. I think because the two eggs aren't separate and it's in a bowl. Maybe it's the lack of toast. I'm being a bit nit-picky.
that's it really there was no toast it wasn't on a plate no potatoes yeah if someone gave me that for breakfast like it was served to them I would have said: "What the heck is this!".
I could only think that who the hell makes a waffle greasy? I have made 100's of waffles in my day and not one was ever "greasy." But hey, let's go eat some boiled fish for breakfast.
I'm pretty sure I have literally never had a pancake, or waffle, that was properly made, that was "greasy" (IE, oozing grease out of every pore). If it's "greasy," you've **made it wrong** and should send it back to the kitchen to be made **correctly**. Hash browns (not shown in this video), yeah, okay, some of those I've had have definitely been "greasy." But pancakes / waffles? Nah, don't think so. Unless someone like slathered the entire thing in butter **after** otherwise correctly preparing it. Honestly, I kind of hate butter, and if I see that someone has shoved an ice cream scooper's worth of butter in a dollop on top of the warm pancakes, I almost immediately scrape it off, before it can melt and soak into my otherwise perfectly good pancakes. IMO, pancakes do not need a scoop of butter on them. Just a light drizzle of syrup (again, not enough to thoroughly soak it; it ain't soup!)...
If you watch enough of shows like the original Iron Chef, or other Asian tasting shows you'll find they have extremely low tolerance for any oils or butters. The pancakes are made on an oiled or buttered grill then had butter on top. It probably was a little greasy.
In Korean, there isn’t a direct translation for the expression. American food is generally more filling, or “heavy” to eat. That’s what they are trying to say instead of the traditional American term and definition of greasy. Us Koreans are usually used to lighter or easier to eat food that isn’t as fatty, sugary, etc.
@@RetroMonkey1999 their low oil tolerance always surprised me because from the korean/Chinese cooking videos I watch it looks like they use oil quite a bit especially on their stir fried dishes.
@@maryannet4710 It didn't say "American breakfast that Americans eat every day". These literally are American breakfast foods, whether or not the majority of Americans actually eat breakfast. When you see a breakfast menu, what's on it? Eggs, bacon, pancakes, breakfast sandwiches which have eggs in them, or are made with pancake buns, breakfast sausages, etc. Stop lying lol. If it's not a pancake, we sometimes get a muffin (blueberry usually, another sweet, sugary thing).
Sara Delahoussaye I’m aware the video wasn’t talking about everyday things. I’m just saying we don’t have it everyday since the person above me said most people do. I wasn’t even referring to the video at all? Besides, it would be better to portray more common things in the video anyway. In what way was I lying? Literally everybody I know skips breakfast and usually has an earlyish lunch
for a "big breakfast", its pancakes, eggs, bacon or ham or sausage links, hash browns or grits, toast with butter, and a glass of juice. adults also add a cup of coffee with it.
@@lumamagregenbogen2485 Nobody eats that every day. Most Americans eat a small breakfast or skip it altogether. Where is the sugary cereal? Let's see them eat some Froot Loops. :D I kind of expected this kind of reaction, since I am aware from various media that eastern Asian countries don't think of breakfast the same way we do in the west, and especially not as we do in America. They basically eat similar foods to what they eat the rest of the day and there aren't as into sweet things as we are. It's no surprise they thought of these more like snack foods and desserts. We do tend to eat some pretty heavy and sweet foods for breakfast. lol, And we're a bit short on kimchi as a breakfast food here. :p
Pity is that most of the sugary cereals don't taste as good now. :( They keep changing the recipe over and over and most are ruined. I want a time machine to buy them on the past. As for the breakfast thing. Well come on, plenty of american eat regular food for breakfast. Have you honestly never had pizza for breakfast? I personally have whatever I want, same for launch or dinner. If I want chicken breast for breakfast I will, which I had, two days ago, grilled :P And if I want pancakes, with egg and bacon for dinner. The is breakfast for dinner XD which is always awesome.

I don't think most Americans eat a traditional breakfast anymore. Maybe just a cup of coffee on their way to work. Personally, I usually eat leftovers from last night's dinner, but I don't think that's very common.
plenty of people have berries with their waffles or pancakes, even ihop has a 3 sauce table policy for the strawberry/blueberry bois out there. but no american in their right mind would eat a floopy soft waffle, that part of the vid was just weird..
Guys, as a Korean, the translation of the word "느끼해" (romanization: neukki-hae) has many different meanings. It can mean oily, greasy, cheesy (personality/literal), and nauseating, depending on the circumstances. I'm surprised not many KOREAN people pointed that out. I think they meant nauseating because if you think about it, Koreans eat less sweet meals regularly. Pancakes+syrup+butter are very heavy and sweet, which they would not be used to. In this context, 느끼해 means it feels unhealthy or nauseating. Even as Americans, we've all been there after our 7th donut or 5th pancake where we feel nauseous. I hope this explanation clears things up a bit.
stewjd76 I don't think that's right. Rich is usually a positive connotation in English while neukki-hae is almost always a negative connotation in Korea. Just my opinion as a Korean speaker, though I'm not the best. Edit: though, rewatching the video, they did comment on the richness and sweetness being overbearing. I still don't think the translation for neukki-hae is "rich" haha

Cereal is the worst kind of breakfast to represent America .Full of sugar . I do eat it sometimes but I think eggs and pancakes are more traditional breakfast foods
It's funny watching these videos because I personally don't eat that stuff everyday for breakfast. That's more of a special, Sunday morning breakfast that you have once a week in my house. I usually just eat cereal or toast with a banana lol

Tap Water ... For you LOL 😂. My man loves it, I hate it. I just don't like the consistency. But what's funnier is he loves crispy bacon and I love slightly crispy with the fat on the ends.
To answer the cute girls question about whether or not we gain energy from pancakes the answer is no. The majority of American breakfast food has so many carbs it will put you to sleep so we also drink really strong coffee with it. American breakfast food isn't supposed to wake you up, it's designed to keep you full for 6-8 hours. Coffee is what we use to wake up.
Actually, oily and greasy is not thier intention. But there is no proper meaning in English to translate. when Korean eat Heavy-Food (especially high flourfood. of course, oily and greasy also but in this case oily and greasy has a little different nuance) they say "nueggi-hae". For example, very creamy carbonara spaghetti and bread with over butter cuz iam just ESL student, in my comment have so many grammatical worng and i can't put in sentences smoothly. hope u understand what i illustrate and have a good day
They'd probably find cereal to be even weirder than pancakes for breakfast. Cold milk in a bowl with small pieces of sweet bread. hmmm I'd like to see their reaction to the different cereals Americans eat.
We salt eggs and bacon is salty. Americans use a lot of salt compared to Asian countries. What tastes normal to you would surely be salty to them. Just like how white rice is really bland and we add a lot of soy sauce. They just eat it without the soy sauce. Soy sauce is used in a lot of dishes, but they don't add salt to them as well. You don't notice the salt because it's always there.
Waffles with fruit toppings are very, very common. See restaurants mentioned above by sedriensmorgasbord, and also super common at an IHOP, a Denny's, or any classic American diner. I agree that their waffle looked sad... waffles should be very crispy!
+Jamaican Me Crazy True enough, you're right. I haven't been to an IHOP in years and years. Sometimes in college I would go there at night to study for exams, but I'm not generally into diners. Mostly I think they cater to elderly people, especially after church, and sometimes students. Or the people who go to Furr's cafeteria. I was just thinking that diners are a pretty common place to get fruit-topped waffles and pancakes. :)

I think the real problem is the word American as soon as someone say American food every word out of anyone's mouth is salty, oily, or fattening it can be an apple but those words will come out their mouth.
I do too but almost always I see them complain of to salty and most Americans don't have time to eat breakfast unless its bacon egg and cheese sandwich type and they so funny and timid about using hands
Stonemansteve II you are bruh. I grew up on Bacon, Turkey ham, and spicy Italian sausage but Korean grilled/bbq pork belly, rib eye, chicken, etc.. in bulgogi marinade is the absolute truth for meat lovers. Very balanced in sweetness saltiness and very savory but not greasy at all or bland tasting compared to a t-bone steak even with A1 sauce and the Korean way of cooking makes the meat so tender and very pleasing in the mouth texture wise.
I think that's why most American breakfasts are like that, most people don't have time to make a filling breakfast because most Americans either go to work or school at like 7 in the morning. Plus we lazy. When they said eggs and bacon were more snack like I was thinking to myself I barely have any patients for a bowl of Mac n cheese lol
I always eat some kind of breakfast. On weekends I usually eat bread, cereal or porridge. Other days I'll just grab an apple or a pear and eat it on the go.
this is the stereotypical american breakfast lol..... most americans dont have time to make any of those foods in the morning.. foods like cereal, yogurt, juice and fruit are more reasonable i'd say :p
I live in the states and I need to ask the one Korean with glasses how are pancakes greasy 😶 if he thinks that's greasy I can't wait for him to have a true American pizza or something
I'm not the Korean guy in glasses obviously lol but there're some stuff I can explain. Traditional Korean meals are mostly vege-based. So for some Koreans don't used to eat western food, they may think it's greasy. It's just about what they used to eat and I'm pretty sure the Korean guy in glasses meant no offence. However, I was also surprised by his reaction cause thought many young Koreans like to eat western food.
Im a New Yorker...there are different ways ive made pancakes...with butter and with vegetable oil...if its made with veg oil people can mistake it as greasy. I like to butter the frying pan over oil personally. But i do agree that a lot of our distinctive foods are greasy but thats only part of our broad cuisine!

everyone does.. how are you going to know what it is if you don't call it that lol. lemon waffles, apple waffles, banana waffles. what the heck do YOU call it, if not an apple waffle. Now, personally Ive never seen an apple waffle, ive seen apple pancakes, but ive only seen apple TOPPED waffles, with apple/cinnamon mix.
Whoever made these "American breakfasts" should be fired lol These aren't accurate at all. They added way to much butter and salt to everything. Like i get it, we're Americans and we like to eat fattening foods, but not like that!
Probably to make it more appetizing to Koreans. Koreans add about ten times too much salt to everything. I did notice the guy kept complaining his pancakes were too greasy. They must have fried them. Maybe nonstick grills aren't a thing in Korean kitchens?
More butter makes it better. Drenched in syrup is a must and some powdered sugar to reach heaven. We all have to die from something, might as well enjoy it.
Only if it's real maple syrup & not something nasty like Aunt Jemima or Log Cabin. Definitely no powdered sugar, it's not a donut. Myself personally I prefer blueberries on my pancakes over maple syrup.
Blueberries, or bananas, or apples **in** the pancakes. Just enough maple syrup to give it some flavor. But dear lawdh, if you drench it, you' can get the hell out. It ain't maple soup... :P Ahh, and did nobody mention french toast? Seriously... Granted that's maybe more of a weekend thing than a daily thing. But, seriously, french toast, with warmed cinnamon apple sauce? SO GOOD... ^_^

Do you happen to eat these one at a time at least instead of the massive ultra-calorific stack of dough plenty of nauseating syrup and some berries?
Hi! A Korean passing by :)
They used the word "느끼하다" to describe the pancakes and that specific Korean word doesn't exist in English!
bishplis err.. ok, I do love pancakes so cool down. And not everyone needs to love pancakes.

just an fyi when Koreans refer to a food being “greasy” they don’t literally mean that is has grease on it. the word they said in korean means that it feels heavy. Thanks, I was confused to how they could be greasy, this makes much more sense. I can't eat pancakes or waffles they are too heavy for me. More of a dessert in my book.

I use to eat pancakes and waffles everyday but it made me fat. :(

Your Ego It's not that I don't like it, it's just that I'm not used to people saying things from my country are "traditional", but to me they're just normal.

BEAKFAST!
Anna Yawn I hate breakfast lol just drink a protein shake instead
Manga Man um thanks for the time to reply all that I have read it all

You guys need a non-quirky American consultant. Pancakes and waffles should have butter and maple syrup. Eggs are a bit more subjective, but I think I would argue that a fried egg, or scrambled, is more American. That plate with a little bacon and a sunny side up egg looked wrong. I would prefer to see: bacon (or sausage), toast, scrambled eggs, hash browns, and ketchup.
Mrs Butterworth > maple imho
sunny side eggs are pretty americano classic so not sure why you think that looks wrong
+grim
You aren't wrong.
That sounds like a typical Waffle House meal.
When those two said the pancakes were too greasy all I could think was you two are not going to like most of American food
Hash browns (not shown in this video), yeah, okay, some of those I've had have definitely been "greasy."
But pancakes / waffles?

They basically eat similar foods to what they eat the rest of the day and there aren't as into sweet things as we are. It's no surprise they thought of these more like snack foods and desserts. We do tend to eat some pretty heavy and sweet foods for breakfast.

I hope this explanation clears things up a bit.
thank you for that information.
stewjd76 I don't think that's right.

@@user-fy1dn2mf4p He must not like korean pancakes or fried foods then, sucks cos theyre so good
Pancakes should not be greasy. Everybody I know eats cereal so they don't have to cook before work.
Kathleen K. Jacks Grandma I honestly love greasy pancakes.
The goat on strawberry toast thats disgusting
boomboy b Not for me. Tastes great if it's salty.
They'd probably find cereal to be even weirder than pancakes for breakfast. Cold milk in a bowl with small pieces of sweet bread. hmmm I'd like to see their reaction to the different cereals Americans eat.
Taun-Chi Gaming It would be funny if they showed an American eating some of their foods.

Broo..wheres the hash browns and grits??
The tired smol bean hash browns!!!! Man, how could I forget that one! Very American breakfast food
The tired smol bean THAT'S WHAT I'M SAYING
YEAH WHERE'S THE GRITS?! AND ORANGE JUICE AND STRAWBERRY JUICE?!
… and biscuits and gravy
Michael M strawberry juice?
honestly whoever made the breakfast is probably why the koreans didnt like it. Cause i dont remember bacon or eggs being salty....
I agree that probably turned most of them off from ever wanted to try American breakfast again
Madison Elyce lmao bacon is salty af. Eggs aren’t salty but the person probably just put too much salt on the eggs
Japan uses quite a bit of salt in their food.
Dear god if you're not getting thick cut bacon from a butcher you're wrong.
The way she ate the pancake u just knew she was going to hate everything American.
I've never heard of an apple waffle 🤔 and I live in America
Hannah Russell buttermilk waffles are the only ones I heard of and maple
Lol I was thinking that
Waffles with fruit toppings are very, very common. See restaurants mentioned above by sedriensmorgasbord, and also super common at an IHOP, a Denny's, or any classic American diner. I agree that their waffle looked sad... waffles should be very crispy!
John D how often do you go to IHOP for breakfast. I've been there once. My friends didn't order pancakes....
My Southerness was screaming for biscuits and gravy 😂😂🇺🇸
Too awesome for these fools.
Same but they ate that bacon like a heritic
Stfu yankee
Exactly!! If they come to Alabama we can show them a real breakfast!!
Yes!!!

i will forever find it funny how many asians use their knife to put the food in the mouth its like a second chopstick for them lol
Alara AOMG I dont even use the knife. I pass it to my husband for him to slice. sigh I have to learn for the military tho.
나는 영원히 그것이 얼마나 많은 아시아 인들이 음식을 입에 넣기 위해 칼을 사용 하는지를 우스운 이야기로 보게 될 것이다.
hahahaha I do that, but not really cos it's a second chopstick. I just feel badass eating off the knife lmao. I mean technically it's rude for western people, but since I'm asian I can get away with it hehehe

One guy says bacon is too salty, but prefers spam? Spam is way saltier than bacon
Tim Frost Korea have various type of spam. So Many people prefer to eat 'low salt, low calorie spam' .
Even some people boil this spam to lower more salt...
It's my case, and maybe that guy's case too.
There is a black market for American spam in Korea for some reason
spam is disgusting in my opinion djfjsj
It's cuz spam is yummier with rice. These Koreans are missing rice. 😂 But Korea has different types of Spam. Koreans eat much healthier and leaner stuff than Americans, so our types of food are not 100% like overseas foods.
Spam is a 100% American food, if you think their Spam is different than ours you're crazy? Who do you think introduced it to them? American soldiers during the war
idk there are a couple here who just look like they won't enjoy anything different ..
SK is not used to eating only salty or sweet stuff. it is usally a mix of both. Trust me if you went to SK you'd think that everything is either sour or spicy. People grow up in different countries with different taste pallets, its just something they are not used to.
The guy with the black rim glasses and his partner were such buzzkills. The others were fun to watch specially the blond girl. Interesting how they found the pancakes greasy. I personally never had a greasy pancake. And for goodness sakes, pick up the bacon with your fingers! Lol.
Gail Remudaro Thank you!!! Her face like a 3 year old being forced to eat brussel sprouts before she even took a bite, and she looked ready to spit it out before she even started chewing! I will hold my tongue on the glasses guy. 🤐
Fiona Spencer trust me I kept my comment/opinion PG. 🤐
Lol just their honest opinions 😂 does everything have to be so positive to be not-buzzkill?
XxAmiIzunexX just mine and others’ “honest opinion” - don’t be a buzzkill too
Gail Remudaro 😂😂😂 so everyone who disagrees with you becomes a buzzkill???
Bacon and Sunny-Side up Eggs without Toast?! Blasphemy.
Ryan Suddeth That's what I was thinking🤣 it's not really American with out some delicious sourdough toast or any other really.
Spitting out bacon like they wanted too is blasphemy
My roommate say some of our foods are salty as well. I don't understand how some say that and still eat ramen that has over 1,000 mg of sodium :/ lol
Soo Hyun lol
Soo Hyun omg so true!!
Soo Hyun That's why whenever I eat ramen (rarely) I dilute it with more water
Bxlla i put alot of water
Lol
I have to put in LOTS of water, then use only half the seasoning packet. Then, I season with Italian seasoning and a tiny bit of garlic powder. If I'm feeling fancy, I'll add an egg.

Hazardous 088 Could just be comparison. Pancakes ARE greasy compared to vegetables, but not compared to pizza.
Wyatt Best
........ What?
They didn't even compare it to anything.
What on earth do you do to your pancakes to make them greasy even a little bit?
martixagent
That's what I'm asking
Hazardous 088 I meant compared to what Koreans eat every day, which is typically rice and vegetables.
I'm gone 💀💀 these people are eating bacon with utensils
How else do you eat it?
mashed potatoes in a bun
kat .....that, that actually sounds really tasty. Just on it's own or with an egg as well? I kind of want that now, but bacon is quite expensive here sadly😔
mashed potatoes you can eat it many different ways with a bun you can have a fried egg in it if you want, melted butter, fried mushrooms~ anyway you want to eat it tastes good
kat I really want to eat bacon in a bun now
Also those pancakes look good, maybe I should come to America and try out the fashion and foods, my English speaking is no good but there will be no need to speak if I am shoving my face with tacos and bacon buns😂
:( You guys basically gave them a kids' menu breakfast.
Still, I liked this video a lot. :D I loved the girl/guy pair of the English Lit major, and the blonde woman! They were so interesting and funny and cute!
Naerwyn agreed and agreed
What's the adults menu breakfast? To my knowledge adults and kids pretty much eat the same breakfast.
Eggs benedict, biscuits and gravy, omelettes etc.
Big Nigga Anybody can eat that...
Naerwyn they cant exactly eat american adult sized meals, everyone on earth has food portions half the size of typical american meal (canada included).
This is so frustrating to watch, i live in America and nobody eats these things for breakfast, except maybe bacon and eggs. We usually just eat cereal on a normal day. I've also never heard of an apple waffle
I just had waffles for breakfast today....I’m American.... tho it is true that we don’t eat these things everyday. Unless there’s some leftover
Did everyone in America tell you that?
Whomever cooked that food does not know how to cook. Pancakes are never oily and too much stuff on that waffles (doesn't look like maple syrup)
Exactly! If the pancakes were oily, they were made wrong.
Too much butter or something if you want American food ask an American person my dude same with any other country you won't really get the right flavors if someone else does it like an Italian man/woman Trys to make Indian spicy curry it won't turn out the same
I think he was referring to the butter
They caked them in grease i bet.
I think the real problem is the word American as soon as someone say American food every word out of anyone's mouth is salty, oily, or fattening it can be an apple but those words will come out their mouth.
As an American this was fascinating to watch , but also bizarre.
Hunter Langley , Tell me about it😉!!, But it gives insight to how " American Food" Is veiwed. Even tho, This is somewhat generalisations.
I do too but almost always I see them complain of to salty and most Americans don't have time to eat breakfast unless its bacon egg and cheese sandwich type and they so funny and timid about using hands
Seriously, how do you not like bacon?!! Also, he mentioned some Korean meat that makes me think I'm missing out on something!!
Cool. I've had bulgogi, but it was made with just regular beef short ribs meat.
Bruh I barely got time for a full blown breakfast usually just grab a snack or don't eat at all... I'm hungry

You're supposed to eat bacon with your hands lol
LilythePerson I think that’s what made me the most angry
It makes me just as angry when I see people eat pizza with utensils instead of just using your hands
Koreans think their too good for that until they get cowed by a superior person.
I think they just wanted to keep their hands clean since bacon is hella greasy
Sure, and then just wipe your hands on your nice white blouse.
this is the stereotypical american breakfast lol..... most americans dont have time to make any of those foods in the morning.. foods like cereal, yogurt, juice and fruit are more reasonable i'd say :p

Dark Trooper ikr
Dark Trooper I'm pretty sure us Americans are used to grease because it's America
Dark Trooper
That is so true, I live in the states to and my family eats pancakes every day and there never oily.
Dude with the glasses didn't plan on liking any of the food from the start.

Ok yes but who calls it an apple waffle?

Whoever made these "American breakfasts" should be fired lol These aren't accurate at all. They added way to much butter and salt to everything. Like i get it, we're Americans and we like to eat fattening foods, but not like that!
Probably to make it more appetizing to Koreans. Koreans add about ten times too much salt to everything.
I did notice the guy kept complaining his pancakes were too greasy. They must have fried them. Maybe nonstick grills aren't a thing in Korean kitchens?
Ronald Yeah probably, they need to redo this video with an actual american making these breakfasts for them lol
Ahh, and did nobody mention french toast? Seriously... Granted that's maybe more of a weekend thing than a daily thing. But, seriously, french toast, with warmed cinnamon apple sauce? SO GOOD... ^_^

Jasper LaPointe with your hands?? Ew.
Jasper LaPointe I usually pick up the bacon with my fork (wedge it between the tongs of the fork). I usually don’t want to get my fingers all greasy.

Yeah, I use two of my fingers to grab the bacon and eat it, I don't think anybody grabs a fist full of bacon unless they want a heartattack.
Not hands but pinch it with thumb and pointer finger. Its like hotwings and pizza.
