this is ten times funnier when we find out they're in the Bigwallet savegame and Grandma is esentially threatening the siblings with pulling a Bigwallet on them: leaving them to struggle on their own with no money
It’s ridiculous to me, that doing activities together doesn’t grow relationships. Because in reality those activities would grow their relationship. The sims team needs to get on that. There’s no reason that if sims are all in the same “group” with the grey icon, that they shouldn’t be gaining relationship
If you're on PC and open to playing with mods, you can kinda use SimRealist SNB to accomplish similar. You can have Sims share savings/credit accounts regardless of if they're in the same house and so then the money in an account where a Sim dies is then managed by the other people who share the account.
I started this yesterday and because Grandma has the family aspiration, she wants kids. Apparently the grandkids don’t count. So I had her have a science baby with Grandma Eleanor from Growing Together. If those grandkids won’t get along then Grandma will have a do over kid and make them help raise her. If we are going to have a toxic family dynamic, then let’s go all in.
@@mackenziedesire7515 I always rescued Nervous and set him up with a family, couldn’t take the guilt of experimenting on him. Circe and Loki were a fun toxic mess to play though.
I completely didn’t register the thumbnail and thought this was going to be about the big wallet kids fighting to the death to see who was going to own the bigwallet ranch 🤣
I had the siblings fish together a bunch, it helped their relationship and had the added bonus that they didn't autonomously started fighting and at some point they even earned the outdoor enthusiast trait. Having a shared trait helped with having positive interactions regarding that shared trait 😅
The easiest method I found was to just have them play Don't Wake the Llama continuously on the game table, it was the ONLY way I could get Ava and Eddie to get along.
I had them play on the games table from growing together in a tiny home :D Went pretty fast too, and they all gain relationship with everyone at the same time.
The most effective way to remove negative sentiments is to build new ones like attending festivals together, building a snow pal, cooking together, basically any activity that builds new sentiments. I STRONGLY recommend NOT letting them have a difficult dynamic
I gasped when James chose the same lot I did for this scenario. They really give Tartosa vibes. Ava and Eddie are the most difficult. Lila got with the florist at the cart and Nyssa loved her the most.
I just imagine they were all putting on an act and these messages were "evidence" for grandma lol. "Look grandma we're totes besties now! Just check out all these nice messages we sent each other on social bunny!" *glares at each other when she's not looking*
When you said Ava was a Bella Goth wannabe I laughed so hard because I am playing the same scenario and had Ava get pregnant by Mortimer as a bit of extra drama.
I kept giving Ava gifts of money, I didn't loose it, as it stayed within the household. She slowly checked of her aspiration and the friendship went up pretty fast
James your joy when playing the Sims, gives me joy and makes me want to immediately play my game. Thank you for being such a positive voice and force for this game win so many people are speaking against it these days!❤❤❤
I would actually play scenarios if they had you unlock items (that still could be cheated in from debug, kinda like the career unlock items). That way I’d feel like there was an incentive beyond the aspiration points.
thats what i was thinking, itll be worth it even if its just another way to get the items locked behind careers because theres just... some jobs i never want to play but have really cool items...
I don’t know why, but I think Lila just doesn’t have any shoes for her outfits. She’s either wearing only socks or is just barefoot. Dunno how they managed that because I think she’s like that for almost all her outfits lol 😂
Hilariously, I also felt like they belonged in Tartosa! Also, I'd love to see you do each scenario! Especially the one where the kids' parents are abducted by aliens.
I just rewatched this and was reminded of the time my 90 year old blind mother was sent the audio book 50 Shades of Gray by the American association of the blind by their automated lending library! Her comments were hillarious!!
A little amazed how you completely ignored the vampire that showed up at the dinner party. Would have been a laugh if the vampire turned Grandma, she never died and the two of them ran off together with the money at the end.
I think Ava always gets the most, she got the most in my play through also. I got no bonus but I think that was because I ended up changing their personality traits through gameplay
I actually wish the game played out like scenarios. The prompts make it feel like each Sim actually has their own story. There could be a set of dialogues based on each trait. Like if you had a Mean, Active and Jealous Sim, it would develop a unique story based on those specific personality traits. Each Sim's dialogue would be different depending on the combo, if that makes sense. 🤔
the "power couple" scenario did the same thing to me where it saved over an existing file and my legacy that i've had for two years+ lost a father bc of neighborhood stories while i was completing the scenario, it was devastating
I just played this and by the end Lila was the only one with a positive relationship with grandmother and her siblings, the only one with a job and the only one who got promoted, the only one with any skills, and she still got the least amount? I think this game hates Lila tbh
I LOVE this challenge. I created a grandpa and parents and then they met with an untimely death😈 but now the family tree is complete. It also gave them a chance to go to a funeral together which helped improve their issues. I have a Scenario Save. I enter that and save then go back to main menu before I start the scenario so its at the top of the list so the scenario automatically starts in my Scenario Save.
A trick to meet sims is to create a club and you can add sims from the world without having met them. once the club is create they will apper on the relationships pannel!
I literally played this scenario for hours. I got them to cook together all day. Photos didn’t work so I locked each of them in a room and worked on relationship on by one. And by the time I finally got all of their bad sentiments out and full relationship (and all the bad sentiments from them spontaneous yelling at each other) my game wouldn’t tick the task off and I couldn’t get it to complete no matter what. I even resorted to cheating their sentiments to be adoring and stuff. But it just never worked so I gave up and deleted the save LOL
The same happened with me too. It just wouldn't let me finish the tasks although I completed them. I searched online and it's a known bug that hasn't been fixed yet as long as I know.
What really quickly helps is to let them all do charity work together. (Don’t know how it’s actually called - my game isn’t in English 😜) really liked the Szenario.👍🏽
I rly like that the sims started with a few skills and an item in there inventory. I wish they did that with townies. This brings life to your sims world.
I just started playing this - my version = Grandma had family orientated trait and wanted a kid and got super depressed when she couldn't fulfill it. So now she's got a kid with someone much younger ( she's constantly at risk of dying with woohooing 😅). She eloped w/ her much younger husband, and that's when a pop up tells me this 'could' affect the scenario 😆 Lets see how that pans out...
The ‘heal negative sentiments’ is so hard! It’s the only thing I need to do to move on with the scenario, it’s Eddie & Lila’s relationship I can’t fix in my game, I got Ava to gain the good trait so she’s not mean anymore, just wish I could do the same for Lila!
I played this - actually went the route of trying to get them all to be nice, took FOREVER for the negative "feels" to go away. its a shame they don't have an inheritance mode in the game. in the end Lila got none of the money bc she was still a complete disappointment lmao
Amazing. I've had a "lost" sister descend on the Landgrabs, and then Jeffrey mystetiously died. The elder Landgrabs "went into senior living" in the city. This sister has the home now, redesigned it, married the son of a rich gangster, and they have 3 children who will vie (or die!?) for the family fortune. Its a whole thing in my lore. Lol
This grandma reminds me of my grandma. Holding inheritance money over everyone's heads, insulting us constantly, and expecting us to suck up to her. She's thankfully not in my life anymore.
dang even my grandma left me and my sister more money each than what Ava got; I thought this lady was supposed to be wealthy! lmao "I thought you had more money" haha me too I legit thought she was gunna dole out a cool mill.
I thought you were in the same save when you invited that first guy because I was sure he was the Bigwallet Nanny lol. I'm glad social bunny was able to help these smelly kids become besties.
Conspiracy theory: the sole purpose of nerfing the photo friendship exploit was so that people couldn't speedrun their newest Succession ripoff scenario LMAO
I had the same thing happen in mine! Ava got over 100k and the other two around 30k.. poor Eddie got ripped off as he was the one achieving the most 🤦🏻♀️

Do you think the rich sims in the world tell their kids stories of the Bigwallets to scare them to being good?
oh for sure! the threat of ending up homeless and alone when entering high school is real
"Who's spending money. Was that you?" And with that sentence, James got fully immersed into his role of angry grandma.
It’s ridiculous to me, that doing activities together doesn’t grow relationships. Because in reality those activities would grow their relationship. The sims team needs to get on that. There’s no reason that if sims are all in the same “group” with the grey icon, that they shouldn’t be gaining relationship

RIGHT! they should really fix that
they do gain positive relationships with the card game table in base game. thats how i got all my members to like each other in this challenge.
“Bella Goth wanna be”
3 mins in and James is already throwing shade 😂
Oshin sims said the same thing
throwing shade like it was an olympic sport 🥇
This makes me wish there was an inheritance system in the game that didn't require you to be in the household to get the money.
If you're on PC and open to playing with mods, you can kinda use SimRealist SNB to accomplish similar. You can have Sims share savings/credit accounts regardless of if they're in the same house and so then the money in an account where a Sim dies is then managed by the other people who share the account.

Imagine how rich your sims would be if the bigwallet family fortunes had been past on… and if you could go above 9999999999
So generational wealth under capitalism? 🙃
@@aascottie'capitalism' is descriptive not proscriptive. Adam smith described how it was not how it ought to be.
If only it just turned into an infinity symbol like it did when you had too many digits in the Sims 1
The Bigwallets are such nepo babies.

Lol same!
I had the siblings fish together a bunch, it helped their relationship and had the added bonus that they didn't autonomously started fighting and at some point they even earned the outdoor enthusiast trait. Having a shared trait helped with having positive interactions regarding that shared trait 😅
I had them build sand sculptures together 😂 works a treat
Fetu the butler casually going to millionaire’s dinners on his free days lol
His old employer
Ah Fetu!
Imagine if he was a millionaire himself and works as a butler for fun..!
love this :D and james didn't even notice!
How detailed this scenario is reminds me so much of the old Sims 2 spin-off games, like Sims Life Stories particularly.
It reminded me of stranger ville
That's given it too much credit
maybe they fixed the photo bug for this scenario. it would be too easy to complete by taking a picture of your sibling
The easiest method I found was to just have them play Don't Wake the Llama continuously on the game table, it was the ONLY way I could get Ava and Eddie to get along.
Don’t wake the llama was a godsend for this
I had them play on the games table from growing together in a tiny home :D Went pretty fast too, and they all gain relationship with everyone at the same time.
I had them cloudgaze and stargaze which worked for everyone except Eddie
Came here to literally write this exact thing
I played this scenario and everyone died in a fire except Lila🤦♀️. I was sooooo close to having them all get along too lol.
Same 😂😂
Lila had some secret plans, apparently.
Did Lila get an inheritance?
@@Kristenhas3catsNope. The fire wouldn't stop 😫. It just kept on going 🤦♀️

The weather in this game was perfect! It definitely gave me murder mystery vibes
I don’t know why, but I think Lila just doesn’t have any shoes for her outfits. She’s either wearing only socks or is just barefoot. Dunno how they managed that because I think she’s like that for almost all her outfits lol 😂
She doesn't and it's super frustrating

I bet who ever created her on the Sims team accidentally gave her shoes from an unreleased update or something lol.

He recently did a video on the alien one! It’s so funny.
