I started out thinking that the whole round concept was ugly and by the time he finished, I found I never wanted to live somewhere more. Something about the fluidity of the space and not having harsh corners on the inside is very relaxing to me.
I feel like to furnish a round room you should do the opposite of what you would do for a rectangular room. Instead of having pathways through the centre and furniture against the wall, make the pathway around the edge with furniture centred. E.g. in the bedroom the bed can be in the middle with a dresser or vanity table against the bedhead. You could even use the chest from Werewolves and the end of the bed as the dresser. Kitchen could be all in a centre island that’s rounded or oval
@@indedgames4359 Even James has had some complaints over the years: there's more nuance than HULK SMASH. We wouldn't have mods if you were correct (James even created one to "remove" My First Pet Stuff from his game.)

When I started living with my now fiance he was forced to watch your content with me. He likes your challenges very much but always is very silent. TODAY he commented for the first time. He said you should make one huge room and than bunch of circles inside (not connected to the walls). I found his break through so funny I had to comment. Not sure if that would work, though. Hope he will not see I'm doubting him 😂
I really hope some cc creators come up with some cool curved cabinets and built in furniture for curved walls. That'd be awesome. I find the limitations of the curved wall sections frustrating though. So much stuff doesn't work with them. Columns don't, stairs are a challenge (spiral stairs please!??), I just.. eugh. Such potential but so many little things that just don't work right. Kinda sims 4 in a nutshell that.
They really should add "indoors" option for other side of the curve and option to put doors and windows on the junction of two curves, because its the most obvious place people would try to put stuff, its symmetrical.
I've played around with circular walls, and yeah, they're very glitchy. If you have two floors, it's even tougher to place things on the first floor walls. Oftentimes they pop up to the top, where they cannot be placed. Most of the time you have to place items with walls either cut away, or completely down. Placing shelves on interior 1st floor flat walls (if there is a 2nd floor) is sometimes just not possible. Also, the square section in the middle of a round room on the second floor with have thin lines through it, that no rug can cover over. The curved walls are fun to play around with, but they need work. Now to hope more work will be done to get them to work right. But we all know how they didn't do much more with "off the grid." So there might not be much hope for a fix.
So no making functional tall wizard towers then? Typical EA making stuff just broken (at least compared to what people might actually want to use the walls for).
44:10 minutes of James trying to make curved walls look good and even tho he did a better job than i ever could the visual glitches are way to much of an issue for me. Ill stick so straight walls unless they fix them one day lol. P.S> James did so great with what he was given from EA lmbo
im glad they gave us curved walls but it honestly just feels like they gave us the basic to shut us up 😂 like yeh we have them, but very limited with how we can use them lmao
the foundations of the game itself is just very limiting that’s why it fcks them up now and really demands them to undo or work around the limitations when they try to add new features
Honestly it seems there are so many things you CAN'T do with those walls that i wonder if they shouldn't put it on hold or release a massive update later
The all circle stuff gives me very futuristic vibes tbh, I feel like that's something you would have seen in Oasis Landings if we had curved walls in TS3
curved mirrors are also a problem because they can act as a lens and a point of light on them in the right spot can start fires. Happened with a few different buildings (mostly designed by the same guy if I remember right) . They created death lasers and melted some car parts and stuff.
in response to your comment halfway through -- im actually super impressed that you made it look pretty decent. when i first saw the circles i was like, there is no way he's going to make THAT look good. but you've done it
James: Build a square/rectangular room first. Then put a curved wall segment in it. It won't delete the walls. It's still a pain in the rear because you can't build more walls in the room afterwards. But it sort of works.
I'd probably just build with round platforms and then add the walls and all they need after everything else is in place. Especially if you want a second floor.
