Really? Food can be sold on the selling table instead of a retail store. Baking/cooking might work then. Retail stores take too long to sell at 100% markup and require too much interaction to be worth it.
@@charitycodes she did say do a retail store… but I’ve sold cupcakes and wedding cakes on the selling table, for the 300% markup… I have a mod though, so I’m not sure if that’s why I could do it or if it’s available in game…
@@chellebean8925 it's available in game. I sell gourmet food on the table all of the time. I just didn't think anything sold for more than a few hundred Simoleons except Ambrosia which isn't practical to make. You could duplicate it I suppose, but then you need magic copy-pasto or a clone machine. If you're doing that, then you can duplicate anything high value and small to sell which reduces the method to just magic or cloning.
I've been having a rough day,, but hearing 'Vlady Daddy' made me so happy. I'm so glad it was at the beginning of the video too, because I was able to enjoy the whole thing.
I wonder how efficient charisma + listening device + photography would be for this? Like freelance or fashion photographer career combined with selling photos combined with asking people for large loans (since they like you anyway from photos) combined with blackmailing people from the listening device.
Other than merging households, flower arranging, painting, gardening and magic, there really isn't any other methods that can be done in a reasonable amount of time. It has to be quick to generate the items and the high value item needs to fit on the selling table, so woodworking is out (bathtubs). Maybe fishing/beach combing in Sulani would work, but I doubt it. You can do it with a few other methods, but the amount of gameplay time would make it a series, not a single video. Either that or you have to get more than 1 sim in your household in order to speed up the process.
Yeah, I think your assessment is about right. With woodworking there is that reindeer statue you can learn how to sculpt while camping in Outdoor Retreat but I'm not sure if it fits on the table, I just know it's a reasonably good price. It still might not be worth it. Beach combing in Sulani, if the treasures actually fit on the table as I'd assume they would, could be pretty good but it's only gonna be on par with the archeology/treasures depending on if you find things faster in the sand/diving/stumbling through the cave. I think those two are probably on par with Dumpster Diving since that's also random, moderately time consuming, based on luck, and while dumpsters can have really valuable furniture, most of the items that you find can't go on the table so you can't do a mark-up without owning a retail store. Plus lol he already tried dumpsters, we know it isn't terribly quick, and after a certain point he gave up and just started buying the beds whole sale which was sort of the household option of the retail store even if it was more in the spirit. Though I'd bet if he only did the temple runs instead of also doing archeology and getting burnt out that way, looting the temples would've been a lot quicker even if it's time consuming to get through the traps to the chests. I don't know if he would've made it to 1 million in the same amount of time, I think it would've been faster, but he'd still probably get burnt out by it. The temples might've been a better option for the "no skills, no problem" challenge since that's only 400K (I know skills can help with getting through the gates but I think that's it?)
@@DoveJS the miniature form is only worth $1,500. It sells for $6,000 on the table and it does fit. I guess that can be added as a possibility, but it's going to take the longest of the acceptable methods. The treasures in Sulani do fit on the table, but aren't that common and are less than $1,000 mostly before markup. That would be tedious as well. You would need one sim constantly selling and multiple fishing sims.
@@charitycodes Oh, yeah! Definitely not worth it then. As you said, the sand combing/fishing would work best with multiple Sims but even then it would still take a long time. You'd be better off creating a reindeer sweatshop and that's also tedious, no where near as good as a flower arranging or painting crew.
Archeology Vampire 🤔You have great fun wandering through those ruins and tombs at night! Is this Semaj's first go as a vamp? Watching to see how better the selling table does. At max skill, you get thousands of simoleons when you send the artifact back that you receive for authentication plus fame.

A dreary world filled with rain, gloom and unhappy plants seems the perfect starting point for a challenge filled with vacations! =) I love this series.
True story: my vampire sim's first Winterfest was spent fighting Santa for presents on the top of the pyramid when I found out that public lot and lack of witnesses made it possible to do over and over again! XD Shame that lots of them was automatically sent to the house inventory, so it wasn't possible to keep track of the loot in real time.
@@Ellary_Rosewood yeah, especially since every new world can be vacation AND living world in the same time. I don't understand why Selvadorada and Granitem Falls are not included in this change😔
Mine as well! Some gripes though: you are blocked from the temple for several days after picking treasure chests clean (no full collection for you. Say hi, dupes), cleaning and authenticating artifacts takes FOREVER, always having a door or 2 blocked each temple run is frustrating, if you and don't get me wrong I enjoy the conventionality, properly supply your sim with survival gear - there is no point to living in those awesome locations we pay much money for.
I’ve actually been playing out the archeology thing with a sim but I’m having them go to university before heading to the jungle. Get the skills up to par. I’m glad I came across this video, it had a lot of great tips
@@sophiecarbone4977 I’m only into the second term so I haven’t seen a specific class for archeology but the other classes will give you the skills you need to be successful in the jungle. Logic, fitness, charisma, and there’s even a class for Selvadoradian culture.
There are treasure chests in the outdoor areas, the crashed airplane area for example, which is a lot faster than grinding through the temple each time.
Plus if you buy enough things from the selling tables in the square, and have high enough skills in a few key areas, you can get treasures pretty consistently going through the gates.
watching the beginning of this video and I’m looking forward to when James realizes that vampires burn in the sun and his sim is an archeologist whose entire gig revolves around digging in the sun 🤣
Loved the video, as always ! Just so you know, there is treasures in a lot of places, so you didn't had to reset the temple. If you went exploring the jungle. You could have find a lot of frogs and plates in every 'secrets lot' like the plane crash, the ominiscan bath and such... I actually got a million this way very quick only with treasures and the selling table ;)
I started the no skills no problem scenario with archaeology only and selling those plates on the market table quickly got me to 200k. But then my painting club made up of NPC "friends" was making 50K per day so I just stuck with that to finish.
If he'd had married in the end, I coulda made a "gold digger" joke :D But hey, Vlad is a relic in himself, so no (self imposed) rules broken to that point X)
Side note : «Fledermaus» is «bat» in German. As a vampire, you should look around Vlad's backyard. You can find some plasma fruit trees. Plant them and harvest the plasma fruits. Eating them will help with your thirst. Have as many plasma trees as you like. Those emotion berries will give you some emotions when eaten. You can also plant them and get more emotion berries.
😂 I thought you were being ambitious when I saw the title! You can try getting rich with clubs! Like letting them paint, garden, and selling the stuff they make 😇
Every day is a holiday! Set a holiday each day with gnomes, gifts and father winter. Although make him father summer, cause we’re in Australia. Put the gnomes in your sims inventory after appeasing. They will continually drop seed packets into your household inventory. If it’s in the game it’s not cheating. Open the gifts in a gift pile. Father winter will add to it each day. Also ask him for a gift. Sell smaller gifts at a yard sale. Sell the bigger ones normally. With more gnomes added each day the seeds really start to add up quickly.
I’m really enjoying this series, especially when James uses occults. I wonder if there are advantages to being an alien or mermaid for these challenges
Make $1 million, only using CATS AND DOGS expansion pack! Gather feathers, assemble bird statues, find presents on walks, open a vet clinic... or any other way you can!!
These speedruns are hilarious. But, I think it would be interesting to see James do this challenge (whatever fun or cool way he thinks of) but he also has to have some kind of okay looking house, maintain some friendships, be moderately clean, and eat on a regular basis. Yeah, basically playing the game but I think that might be the biggest challenge yet for him, lol
But that would take so long that it couldn't be a single episode, turning it into essentially a rags to riches let's play which he does all the time already...
You can also go to "granite falls" and after watching that giant beaver statue they have there you can make smaller statues in the woodworking table, they sell for 6000 simoleons in the selling table (with 300% margin) and with bigger fabrication skill they go for an higher price.
Aw... this autoplayed from Simsie's latest video and I didn't figure out that it was an older video until he started taking photos.. I miss photos of friendship!
I personally prefer Vampires Super Speed, not only does it look cool. Its actually a bit faster not having your sim take time to do animation to poofing in and out of the bat form, sometimes instead of literally moving 2 squares. Nice thing about going on vacation there is that you can get your Gardening Skill very high by dealing with those vine-overgrown doors, so no need to wait for it to up to a useful level by doing low grade stuff.
I think adding another sim to the household like you did in flower arranging would have been good. When you build a site, multiple sims can dig up the stuff. Plus one could be selling while the other authenticates.
You could do another no skills no problem scenario but with Get Famous and try to become a 5 stars celebrity by selling your selfies and making music and videos.
Don't fossil rocks get opened and become worth more? Also if you aren't using the house on the vacation why not delete it and just pay for an empty lot instead?
I think the huge friendship gain from photography is from the Mosquito pack. I don't have Mosquito and I can take photos of sims but they don't pose for me, and it doesn't cause significant friendship gain.
Love these challenge videos! I would have planted plasma fruit which would have grown fast on the tiny lot, and then taken that with me into the jungle so I didn't have to leave to find Sims to drink from. I also would have just skipped the dig sites and raided the temples over and over to sell the big ticket items on the table. I know you didn't want to do the witchcraft path again, but imagine Copypasto with those big ticket items. Once you had that spell, one trip to collect a bunch of frogs and plates, copy them over and over and one million would have been easy. I'd love to see you plant oversized watermelons and lettuce only, can them (canning them only takes seconds because you only have to chop, no cooking involved and each large one produces 12 jars worth $100-$200). Also, for any of your rags to riches scenarios, you can buy small ones at the market stand for five bucks, can them quickly and sell the jars to make a couple hundred. Much faster than gardening or fishing to get started. You can also sell them on the selling table at 300% markup and make even more money quickly.
I don't understand when people say that there's no gameplay in this game I've been watching this for half an hour now and it's a whole lot of stuff that I never even thought to do
I started an archaeology one but moved on to a different method in a new game because authenticating takes so long. I like the gameplay but it's definitely not a fast way to make $1m. I'll finish it one day lol
I don't know why this made me think of this, but ever since watching James, I always say Katrina like "KATRINA!" when I see her when I'm playing. Makes me think of him every time lol
I love these challenges, it's like speedrunning an entire let's play series in an hour.
Yes! That’s exactly what it’s like! Sims Speed Runs! 💯 💯 💯
Oh this is gonna be good. Thank you for suffering for our entertainment James!
It's much more profitable to open the fossils and then sell them. The time capsules are the ones that are better to sell without opening.

I actually wanted to study archeology but my mom said she wouldn't support that because it just isn't going to give me a nice life🙃 Tbh I think you can make enough to live but I also kinda get her
The spa refresh added facemasks and there's one that protects vampires from the sun. It's a temp fix while you work on the sun resistence
lol that's amazing. does it have any special ingredients?
@@SomeoneBeginingWithIIDK I think it's the sun soothing one. It's for sunburn but I tried it with a vampire out of curiosity and the effect lasts a few hours once you take the mask off
@@rociorodriguez589 If you up your vampire lore you can also learn to make a drink that prevents burning from the sun for I think around 8 hours. You need a bar though, and it might go bad if you try to stock up, I haven't tested that.
@@ILuvAyeAye I know, but facemasks are easier. To do the drink you need the bar, the ingridients, mixology skill and vampire lore skill. Too much fuss if something shows up and you're not ready, or if you have a lazy vampire. And no, you can't stock up. Also, depending on storytelling I sometimes don't want my vampires to have any lore skill... It's nice to have options. The fastest, hassel-free are facemasks
A scenario: *James does all the events and phone calls asking to hangout*
Lol I would love to see that 😂
That would be hilarious, but semaj would need to do at least one yard sale so he had more than one contact
He did something similar to this a couple of months ago called like I let the sims decide what I do or something like that
I love how it was going so well and then all of a sudden you're over it. The unravelling into chaos is always my favourite part!
A dreary world filled with rain, gloom and unhappy plants seems the perfect starting point for a challenge filled with vacations! =) I love this series.
You could try earning million by opening presents and getting presents from Santa. Make Winterfest everyday!
This sounds like chaos and I need to see it
The quickest way with Archeology is to become a spellcaster, find the most expensive treasure, and clone it until you reach $1 million.
marcus becoming totally obsessed with vampire!semaj in the most bella swan style is not what i expected from this video but relatable
i think it would be really cool if you had a ranking table and at the end of the episode you would put that episode's method on for comparison
Yess I'd love to see this!
Yes!!!
Thirded
Great idea!
I absolutely love the archaeology skill and the content from the Jungle Adventure pack. One of my favorite packs and I think it's so underrated. ❤️
I think that too and I really want Selvadorada be a place to live in, not only vacation world!
@@reynavaldez13 Me too!! I don't understand why it has to be just a vacation world.
@@Ellary_Rosewood yeah, especially since every new world can be vacation AND living world in the same time. I don't understand why Selvadorada and Granitem Falls are not included in this change😔
@@reynavaldez13 Yeah, hopefully they'll change it soon. I also love the Granite Falls world and would love to live there as well.
Mine as well! Some gripes though: you are blocked from the temple for several days after picking treasure chests clean (no full collection for you. Say hi, dupes), cleaning and authenticating artifacts takes FOREVER, always having a door or 2 blocked each temple run is frustrating, if you and don't get me wrong I enjoy the conventionality, properly supply your sim with survival gear - there is no point to living in those awesome locations we pay much money for.
really love the idea of shopping a vampires yard sale of archeological artifacts in the middle of the night
I’ve actually been playing out the archeology thing with a sim but I’m having them go to university before heading to the jungle. Get the skills up to par. I’m glad I came across this video, it had a lot of great tips
Can you gain the archeology skill in university? I’ve never tried that before!
@@sophiecarbone4977 you can gain pretty much any skill in university...you just take it as an elective on top of any degree you're doing
@@sophiecarbone4977 I’m only into the second term so I haven’t seen a specific class for archeology but the other classes will give you the skills you need to be successful in the jungle. Logic, fitness, charisma, and there’s even a class for Selvadoradian culture.
@@karinaszubert cool thanks!
@@StoneyosaurusrexRex oh gotcha. Thanks! Good luck!
My first thought as well LMAO
EARLY!!! I feel like James is gonna try to make 1M simoleans into a series now with all of these different techniques
In my mind it's already established as a series
Loved the video, as always !
Just so you know, there is treasures in a lot of places, so you didn't had to reset the temple. If you went exploring the jungle. You could have find a lot of frogs and plates in every 'secrets lot' like the plane crash, the ominiscan bath and such... I actually got a million this way very quick only with treasures and the selling table ;)
I started the no skills no problem scenario with archaeology only and selling those plates on the market table quickly got me to 200k. But then my painting club made up of NPC "friends" was making 50K per day so I just stuck with that to finish.
They need to add better rewards on scenarios , it’s quite underwhelming
aww, this brings back memories of the bigwallet series. I loved those chapters with the Jungle Adventure pack.
I think it's really cool that James uses supernatural sims to use their powers for the challenge. I've honestly never thought of doing that before
The amount of redundant gameplay that you do for our entertainment is crazy!
Love you 💕
Vampires and archeologists naturally go together, I say as a Jojo fan.
I favor fighting Vlad, you actually get a larger power boost from him, and he's pretty weak.
This would make a great movie! An archaeologist that is also a vampire 😂😂😂
If he'd had married in the end, I coulda made a "gold digger" joke :D But hey, Vlad is a relic in himself, so no (self imposed) rules broken to that point X)
I’m loving this series. It’s so much fun!
Love how james sent vlad home so he wouldn't die after asking him to move in and forgetting that he removed the roof.
As an archaeologist I am very excited for this one :D
HAHA its just like in real life, you cannot get rich with this one
I forgot how much I enjoyed the Jungle Adventure gameplay for Sims. This was fun!
Wait did Vlad SERIOUSLY message Semaj saying “I cant believe you are drinking plasma ,that’s just not right!”?!
Like letting them paint, garden, and selling the stuff they make 😇
9:22 Luckily, Vampire skill trees don't work like this - you are free to pick any power you want, not being bound to a specific 'tree branch' c:
Every day is a holiday! Set a holiday each day with gnomes, gifts and father winter. Although make him father summer, cause we’re in Australia.
Put the gnomes in your sims inventory after appeasing. They will continually drop seed packets into your household inventory. If it’s in the game it’s not cheating.
Open the gifts in a gift pile. Father winter will add to it each day. Also ask him for a gift. Sell smaller gifts at a yard sale. Sell the bigger ones normally.
With more gnomes added each day the seeds really start to add up quickly.
Calling my dear Dominique ”Marcus” 😑
I’m really enjoying this series, especially when James uses occults. I wonder if there are advantages to being an alien or mermaid for these challenges
Occults are so underrated in the sims community. All of my sims are spellcasters and vampires.
Make $1 million, only using CATS AND DOGS expansion pack! Gather feathers, assemble bird statues, find presents on walks, open a vet clinic... or any other way you can!!
I'm still waiting on your Black WIdow let's play!
I mean, it is archaeology in a way... gold-digging.
@@franklyfrankie1203 That’s true.
I love the different types of ways you do this challenge.
Being an actor and RUclipsr at the same time, being an actor is a career and the media production table are separate so you can do both
so will any of you guys remind james there was this little cottage living lp once upon a time or should i
I think adding another sim to the household like you did in flower arranging would have been good.
I don't have Mosquito and I can take photos of sims but they don't pose for me, and it doesn't cause significant friendship gain.
you can still choose "take photo with...", which is in the base game and also provides a massive friendship gain
@@M3RDR Yeah, I don't have Moschino and I still get the boost. It's something that has been happening since the game came out with base game.
