The most OP strat in club gatherings is unlocking the “Rally the Troops” interaction under club points. It boosts all your sims needs instantly (seriously broken for anyone wanting to speed run 100 baby challenges)
For early game rags to riches I always use the beach towels from island living, since sims can nap on them. Also once I’ve caught some more expensive fish, I’ll use the pond tool to make a pond on the tiny home lot and only select the expensive fish to stock the pond.
I think if he just brought all eight Sims to a lot with many fishing spots, and had them all start fishing immediately, he could have made at least enough money for four tents before everyone started passing out. Organizing the clubs could be a day two activity, or maybe two of the Semah could have been meeting new Sims while the rest fished. But obviously it's always easier in hindsight.
This was a really entertaining and different way to tackle this challenge. There's only one piece of the puzzle that was missing. When all your clubs gathered enough Club Points, you could have used the club points to boost their painting skills. Couple that with the Tiny Living bonus and everyone would skill up super quickly. Higher skill = more valuable paintings.
I have a Club tip: if you choose a requirement for members like ”child” or ”female” for example. Then you go back to picking sims- the sims coming up as available have changed 😌
Yeah you could get 6 separate clubs by having male and female clubs for adult, young adult, and elder. You do have the issue of sims ageing up but you can always turn off ageing. I don't think that's cheating for a challenge like this.
It might have been less taxing if you had clubs to fulfill needs. One or two clubs have an added activity.. cooking.. cleaning.. fixing... Maybe it would have also helped if the clubs went on a rotation. Two to 3 clubs on the lot at a time This has inspired me, on console so can't cheat this way.. but, definitely want to try some things out! 😀

The moment James considered getting a caterer for all his club painters just solidified this whole video as a speedrun to an Amazon simulator. It's genius that you can simulate real life company working environments.
I believe you can run 3 clubs at once, your sim just can't join more than 1 at a time, but the rest of the club members will still be there if you start it. So you could potentially do this with less sims or throw in more chaos with 24 clubs (and a chance of breaking the game 😂)
I seriously just dropped dead watching this I couldn't stop laughing at all the chaos going on. And when the fire started I've never seen that many Sims actually put out a fire...lmao!! Loved this to funny..and keeping up with all the Semaj Sims was a task in itself lol!
Why not try the tablet painting with a full household? Or using the mod to have a huge household and giving everyone a painting tablet? It's faster and if everyone is in your household, you'd have access to their inventory.

Hi, I've been watching your let's plays and challenges for a few weeks now and you've actually made me interested in playing the game myself. I've had it for years and would occasionally play for a few hours, then get bored of it. But it's so much more fun to do challenges and rags to riches now that I know how that works. So thanks!
Go to Egypt. Find a bunch of gems, metals and relics. Transfigure the low value stuff into Soulpeace and Supernovium for gems and metals respectively. If you find any uncut Tiberium, make sure to cut it with the Supernatural gem cutter because the bonus dust will also grow into large spires. Optionally: Raise the Science skill and start cloning everything and completely break the economy.
To cover the beds you should have used the big tent from Outdoor retreat. It allows many sims to sleep at once. May not be quick but is better than buying many beds
Interesting let's play and experiment with having multiple clubs and Sims on one lot painting. I love the humor that came out of playing this. Thanks James, I always look forward to seeing your videos.
Just add members by searching by traits that each club leader has and it will bring up every sim that matches it. Similarly you could have done it with single sims or sims the same age.
you can try to use the club perk "rally the troops" to fill your needs. if I remember correctly it fills most of them up and you can use it several time (unless that was a bug and they fixed it)
I love this idea. One way you can deal with the using the bathroom and showers, use the debug public restrooms. You can put 4 hour cause they cost nothing, and 2 sims at a time can use the bathroom in them, and you can take showers in them as well.

When he bought a traditional bin instead of the magic money bin that gives you $10 for each member of your household every time you use it… Think about that! $80 for each of those bowls would’ve made a big difference!

Everyone in the world knows how to paint and it fairly good at it and then we sell the masterpiece paintings to those who can already paint. Brilliant.

There is a mod by Carl that's called Dine Out Reloaded, if you wanted to use that to make a million simoleons. Carl also did Collectibles Ready, Burglars Mod, and Retail: Reloaded Mod. There is a Live in Business mod by LittleMsSam. Suggestions for Million simoleons: 1. Use the same household you used here. Create a community lot with 8 businesses on it, so it's sort of like a strip mall. Maybe they could be 1. restaurant 2. Yoga classes 3. meditation classes 4. retail store for maybe cross stitches, knitting and woodworking (whatever you decide) 5. a Bar 6. photo studio 7. a lounge or coffee cafe where the sim plays an instrument for tips 8. (whatever you decide) or whatever you decide the businesses should be. 2. Use the same household you used here and use Carl's Real Estate mod. Maybe the Semajs live in an apartment. 3. Take the idea of the Million Simoleons scenario and apply that to TS1, TS2 (maybe live in an apartment) and TS3 and see how long it takes you to make a million simoleons in the three previous games, but without the lottery in TS3 because that's too easy. At the very least, maybe the mods listed will give you an idea for a video. Quick question: Since you have a random trait generator for sims on your site, do you plan to create a random lot trait and lot challenge generator?
set a max household of 48, randomize put them all in the clubs, give them all the art drawing tablets. You get all the paintings, just have to go through all 48 inventories. XD
idk if he's done this again since, but what I personally found helpful is any activity that is inconvenient like them napping or talking you can just set as restricted activities and that worked well for me
Wouldn't Sulani be a better starting world. Could use the public easels on the wharves, nap on the loungers on the beach, fish etc. and then move when you get established. plus the weather is milder LOL
I always start my rags to riches fishing on the dock at Magnolia Promenade. I steadily pull in dragon fruit, cowberries, and voodoo dolls. Imagine if all eight Sims were pulling in those all day. You'd have enough for easels, a shower, a toilet and a couple beds.
So I tried this, but I took it a level further. I made an retail store with a backroom full of easels, a kitchenette, a table and a bathroom. I then invited my club over to do a gathering, and as they painted I would have my Sim add the paintings to his inventory, move it onto one of the walls in the store and then add a frame and set it to sale. You gotta do it quick, otherwise the club members will vanish the painting to start a new painting. I dunno why, but you can't just drag it from the easel to the wall and set it to sell, only after you put it in your inventory. I did this for 9 in-game hours, having them paint and selling their paintings for a profit. Made about 800 bucks in the first day with 311 going to my employee as wages. Still made a profit as I didn't have the pay a cent for the paintings to be made. I think I created a sweatshop.
You can also require that sims be creative to filter down Sims, I wonder if that has any noticeable effects! Maybe make some sheeple Sims with ideal traits in another households to use in the clubs lol

I usually make my sims love the outdoors and buy them a tent! Or make them dance machines and have them take disco naps on benches or chairs 😂

When adding Sims to clubs you can filter by skills or careers so the list would update
Chef's Kitchen is a useful lot trait. If you start any food (including quick meals) your sim gets an Inspired moodlet

I would have started painting at an easel at the art gallery to get enough to buy easels for my own lot.
I think with this many sims a grill would make more sense than a fridge.

Each samaj can have three clubs. I think you can run more than one club gathering at a time per sim. I think I was doing that in my history challenge.
