Great review. I've got an IKEA Markus chair that's in need of replacing. It's served me well but I would like some adjustability and this seems like the natural progression.
Do you still use the chair? Wondering if after 4 months the mesh has stretched so much that your back hits the metal pole holding the backrest. Also it's pronounced more something like "yherf-yell-at"
Still have the chair but have been using it less since we have returned to the office, the back mesh is still great on mine. You can try to return it to IKEA or use the warranty if the mesh is stretched for you
@@kevnalysis I'll help you here. I use it every workday for 8-12 hours for past 3 years. Mesh still holds well, the cushion on head and back rests are all still as new. The foam on the seat is slowly turning into dust now, but as I weight 120-130kg during year, it's ok and only now I plan to replace the foam. Also, I own probably the first generation of jarv, when the seat, head and back rest were not made from leather, but fabric and that is my main reason why I would consider to buy this chair again, only to get the leather parts :D
Thanks for the review. How many hours can you sit in it without feeling any backpain or discomfort? I'm wondering how ergonomic this chair really is, because the curve of the back is pretty extreme (not very straight), as seen from the side.
About 2 hours and I needed to get up. My partner lasted longer because she's alot lighter than me. Wasn't enjoying this chair as much as the Markus so I ended up returning it and picking up a different one from Ikea which I will be reviewing next.
Hi, is it making any creaky noise when we move a bit? I'll be using it for music recording studio, I worried the noise will be captured by my microphone. Thank you
There is a slight click back and forth when you lock the chair in place, but it find its not as loud as other cheaper chairs with low quality parts. It shouldn't squeak.
1.92m tall is ok, the chair is pretty good for a tall person my friend is about 1.9m and he fits but if your shoulders are really broad then you might find the back frame abit annoying.
hi i want to ask if the headrest is too high for 1.65m guy? im asian so i was kinda wondering if the headrest will be too high for me since in the video it looks hinda high
It should be fine when you are sitting upright, see the girl in the video is 1.55m tall. Where you will feel it being abit too high is when you put the backrest all the way down.
Hi! I emailed you photos of the issue. I did return it to IKEA and got a new one. So far it's whole but I'll ask for money back if the issue reoccur.@@kevnalysis
Sure, but you have to go through the trouble of sending a complaint, pack your broken product, send it, and assemble a new one. Small price to pay compared to buy a new chair sure. But it is inconveniences you do not expect after 8 months. @@AR-ey1ur

Great video man! Packed with all the information I needed for knowing if this chair was good for my case. Keep it up with these great reviews!
You helped me today thank you
your opinion is totally on spot. I have exactly the same feelings
Oh man, this guy is handsome. Excellent review. I've been looking for a good home office char. This may be it!
😆
The white is aesthetically pleasing to the eyes, but I think it’s better to get black for low maintenance.
This. I often shart and white would be a nightmare because I’d have to clean it everytime.
you often what ?@@brentschmogbert
Quick question, what's the dimensions of your table?
1.8m wide, 65cm depth in the middle and 75cm depth on the sides
@@kevnalysis Thank you very much for your review! Just added this chair to my basket, would be getting it for my workstation on Wednesday.
8:56 is it cleanable? Or will it remain a bit dark? (like when you have used the chair for months/yars)
Overtime it will just naturally darken, it won't maintain its out of box appearance
Thanks for the review! ❤ I would like to know, if possible, what is the minimum and maximum height of the backrest (including the adjustable headrest)
backrest is about 0.8m, headrest can be adjusted higher about another 0.1m, its quite long
Where did you get your desk from? Great review.
EBay:)

I love the white version but i’m afraid it will get dirty soon? Was this your case??
You're right, it does get dirty, and ageing stains are really hard to clean off unfortunately :(
@@kevnalysis I got the black one this morning as soon as i saw how dirty was the white exposition one. The review was pretty helpful thanks
great video. Couldnt figure out what the left knob is for, watch this and problem solved
Glad it helped!

I couldnt hate the markus more than I actually do
I'd like to add to this review that the chair broke down after 8 months. It's shitty quality. I do not recommend.
Thanks for sharing, how did it break? did you return it to IKEA?

Maybe, but it comes with... 10 year warranty, so...
