    I think the reason why you don't see a significant difference in fps is that there is enough time between each shot to fill the plenum. You won't see any change in fps because every shot only empties the plenum/air chamber. What you could try is how both restrictors behave during rapid fire. Maybe even a test without the restrictor in it.
    A bigger hole will fill the plenum/airchamber faster which is always better for rapid fire. You could try shooting 5 rounds as fast as you can with the small restrictor and a fresh CO2 and do the same test with a larger restrictor hole (ore no restrictor at all) All you need to measure is the fps of the last shot of both tests. I think / hope the last shot with the bigger restrictor will be faster then the last shot with the stock restrictor hole. 😉

    • @runerebel8441
      @runerebel8441  7 месяцев назад +2

      Yes that might be true. Cant test this because of my painful and stiff fingers. I strugge to pul the trigger as it is now, not to talk about trying to shot fast. But I think you are right. The power without the restrictor is just 5 joule more, and on the first shot only. I have several videos testing it without the restrictor. 😉

    Hello Rune, Im getting my HDR this week, you mentioned in another video that the restrictor could be easily removed with a screwdriver? Is the slit across the disk where I place the driver? Is it the usual lefty-loosy/righty-tighty?
    (Do I unscrew the restrictor with a counter-clockwise motion?)
    Or do I have to drill as you showed in this video?

    • @runerebel8441

      Hello my friend. Yes that is correct. One the 16 joule version it has a restrictor in the CO2 tube. Just remove with a flat head screwdriver like you say. Screw left (or counter clockwice) to take it out. I have not filmed drilling it. Its made of aluminium and very esy to drill a larger hole in it😃

    it sounds like there is a restrictor before the air gets to that place you drilled. take caution finding the real restrictor...
    and if you did not use a larger bit to bevel the edges around the hole you drilled , beveling allows more air to flow through a smaller hole. course i am never telling you what to do . i did not mod my hdr 50, i just tossed the 22joules valve in without further adjustment.

    This mod could negatively affect the gun parts through time, or I shouldn't expect any significant problem?

    • @runerebel8441
      @runerebel8441  3 месяца назад +1

      The only problem I can guess might happend is that the heat-core O-ring might pop out or break earlier because of a higher CO2 flow. But I have shot thousands of shots and never had a problem because of this. That O-ring can also pop out if you use a tight ball/slug that can create backpressure. If you lube it with siliconeoil/spray every time before use you shouldnt have any problems.

    hello friend, as I told you about the comments of another video, I drilled the restrictor at 1.5 mm that a machining friend made me so as not to damage the original, after testing at 10 meters I crossed a board that in the original configuration I could not do it with the same projectiles and at the same distance, moreover I noticed a greater recoil of the weapon with the modification. Originally I could shoot 10 full power BBs and 2 BBs with reduced power, since the modification I shoot 8 to 10 full power BBs and then nothing depending on the outside temperature. I use warheads machined at 17.29 mm on a 7.3 gram aluminum digital machine.

    • @runerebel8441
      @runerebel8441  Год назад +3

      Thanks my friend. Iam glad you like my videos. Take a used 12 gram CO2 canister and xut the tip off. Cut it so it has a diameter of ca 12mm and then you file it down until it fits inside the bottom of the CO2 tube. Optimum size is ca 11,2mm. If the hole in the CO2 canister is larger than 1,5mm then use a punsh or nail and hammer the hole more shut. For strenght ad a drop of glue/epoxy. Make a new hole with a 1mm drill bit. Then just drop it in the CO2 tube and you are readdy for use. It can get stuck in the tube so if you want to remove it later just use a lond round file and fish it out. Good luck 😃
